Other than that, all the songs in the Wacken 2013 setlist are about the best performances recorded, although Nightwish live is always good.
Our Floor can belt , growl and operatic , she is the Queen of Metal. She is a voicenerd and she did Rockacademy and she did 2 years classical training, and in the years after she did all voice better . Now you are starting to appreciate Nightwish. At this festival floor had been with the band about 10 months and was starting to put her personal spin on their back catalogue. Shortly after this she became an official member and things just got better. For you, there is still the pleasure of discovering Marco's vocals. And there is also a member you haven't met yet. Keep going down the rabbit hole, it's worth it

Hi Aileen. It always feels so good to see the smiles and the reactions on people's faces when Floor's sound is absorbed by the brain. Her knowledge and experience with the vocal mechanism is unmatched on this planet. She knows what to put where and how much as well as her ability to tell the story which she finds extremely important. Yes, to many she may be just singing but she is actually telling a story and expressing that to her audience, and she does it very well. This song came early on in this show and they did Ghost Love Score as well as the 13th song on the setlist.... Yup, she hit that belt at the end like nobody's business and usually has enough in the tank for another 8 songs although this set was only 15. The journey continues... For the next reaction I recommend "Romanticide" same venue. th-cam.com/video/zz_7OCCQlXs/w-d-xo.html It's one of their heavier songs and no opera parts, but you will be introduced to Marko Hietala, the viking looking fellow playing the bass guitar who was Floor's vocal match made in heaven. You will also hear Floor hit her highest recorded note in front of an 82,000+ crowd. I haven't checked personally, but I was told it was an F6. 🤘👍 Unfortunately Marko is no longer with the band. He expressed some disappointments with the music industry in an open letter he posted online on January 12, 2021. He said he was "leaving Nightwish and his public life". Most of his decision came from him admitting he was a chronic depressant and there were some things he was forced to walk away from that unfortunately were tied to the band. You can see the difference from GLS and Storytime. That can be expected from every song in line, equally epic and full of emotions. Tuomas (composer/keyboards) is just genius of highest magnitude.

This whole concert at Wacken is tremendous. Floor sings at this level the entire time and does not miss a note. If you keep following Gabriel Bardac's list you can't go wrong. By the way, our Valkarie Floor is just over 6' tall and with her heels she is close to 6'5" on stage, just adding to her stage presence.

Great reaction! Floor is like a general commanding her 82,000 loyal troops here at Wacken (Germany) in 2013. She has Insane talent both vocally and in her showmanship. Floor is world class. She just happens to be in a world class Finnish metal band. A match made in heaven. But, she could be anywhere and dominate that ecosystem. There are so many great Dutch singers and musicians. Floor is the best in many peoples view. I tend to agree.
Have you noticed how awesome the audio/video quality is from the Wacken concert? That and their performance is a reason that anything from Wacken is so highly recommended. The entire concert is available on dvd and I highly recommend watching it in it's entirety on a big screen plugged into a good sound system. It's the best way to truely experience how tight this band is. Party in your living room.
Body shaking, jaw dropping, teary eyes, brain cells almost popping out, heart stopping... Yeah, another Floorgasm... And yes, she's not human, she's a Jedi Master and the Floorce is ultra strong in her.
As far as I've ever seen, the only way to catch her "straining" is if she's sick as hell, and even then she sounds better than just about most other singers live haha! Next to Floor and NW there is another incredible Symphonic Metal Band (EPICA) with an unbelievable female vocalist, too - Simone Simons. She is the "siren" of Metal (best vocalist next to Floor) ;D - Try EPICA "Rivers" - a ballad beyond beautiful. I normally would say pure Floorgasms, but here the goosies will belong to Simone. You will love it - promised!!!

everyone has their favorite but I think my favorite live set is the 2018 Buenos Aires concert. of course the 3013 Wacken is awesome because you get the start of Floor's reign.
For a heavier Floor Jansen i would recommend "Romanticide" from this concert and "Yours is an empty hope" from Wembley arena. And if you want to hear her doing a belting barage and climb a very tall ladder "Ever dream" from this concert.

My favourite Nightwish song, Storytime is a story about stories and references so many stories from our childhoods in such a way that you remember every story you ever heard. A piece about the evolution in 3 acts with a duet with marko that stands out. check this out you will love it no question

It always feels so good to see the smiles and the reactions on people's faces when Floor's sound is absorbed by the brain.
Her knowledge and experience with the vocal mechanism is unmatched on this planet. She knows what to put where and how much as well as her ability to tell the story which she finds extremely important.
Yes, to many she may be just singing but she is actually telling a story and expressing that to her audience, and she does it very well.
This song came early on in this show and they did Ghost Love Score as well as the 13th song on the setlist.... Yup, she hit that belt at the end like nobody's business and usually has enough in the tank for another 8 songs although this set was only 15.

It's one of their heavier songs and no opera parts, but you will be introduced to Marko Hietala, the viking looking fellow playing the bass guitar who was Floor's vocal match made in heaven. You will also hear Floor hit her highest recorded note in front of an 82,000+ crowd. I haven't checked personally, but I was told it was an F6. 🤘👍
Unfortunately Marko is no longer with the band. He expressed some disappointments with the music industry in an open letter he posted online on January 12, 2021. He said he was "leaving Nightwish and his public life". Most of his decision came from him admitting he was a chronic depressant and there were some things he was forced to walk away from that unfortunately were tied to the band. No one in the band to blame.

My favorite track of Nightwish is The Poet And The Pendulum and though it's from the Annette-era, Floor's live version of this is mind blowing.

This whole concert at Wacken is tremendous. Floor sings at this level the entire time and does not miss a note. If you keep following Gabriel Bardac's list you can't go wrong. By the way, our Valkarie Floor is just over 6' tall and with her heels she is close to 6'5" on stage, just adding to her stage presence.

Great reaction! Floor is like a general commanding her 82,000 loyal troops here at Wacken (Germany) in 2013. She has Insane talent both vocally and in her showmanship. Floor is world class. She just happens to be in a world class Finnish metal band. A match made in heaven. But, she could be anywhere and dominate that ecosystem. There are so many great Dutch singers and musicians. Floor is the best in many peoples view. I tend to agree.
Have you noticed how awesome the audio/video quality is from the Wacken concert? That and their performance is a reason that anything from Wacken is so highly recommended. The entire concert is available on dvd and I highly recommend watching it in it's entirety on a big screen plugged into a good sound system. It's the best way to truely experience how tight this band is. Party in your living room.
Body shaking, jaw dropping, teary eyes, brain cells almost popping out, heart stopping... Yeah, another Floorgasm... And yes, she's not human, she's a Jedi Master and the Floorce is ultra strong in her.
As far as I've ever seen, the only way to catch her "straining" is if she's sick as hell, and even then she sounds better than just about most other singers live haha! Next to Floor and NW there is another incredible Symphonic Metal Band (EPICA) with an unbelievable female vocalist, too - Simone Simons. She is the "siren" of Metal (best vocalist next to Floor) ;D - Try EPICA "Rivers" - a ballad beyond beautiful. I normally would say pure Floorgasms, but here the goosies will belong to Simone. You will love it - promised!!!

My favourite Nightwish song, Storytime is a story about stories and references so many stories from our childhoods in such a way that you remember every story you ever heard. Floors power and emotion is infectious and the music drives it home with a groove that only reinforces Floors voice, simply perfect

Since years and years ago I've been a huge Nightwish fan. Also I'm interested in beautiful voices wherever they come from. So- please react to Dimash Kudaibergen singing "Adagio" at the singer competition and the song "Ogni Pietra" the fancam version or from his channel. A piece about the evolution in 3 acts with a duet with marko that stands out. check this out you will love it no question
