Hes my favourite kickboxer but i really would like to see him switch things up. For a karateka all we see is roundhouse kicks and nothing else, especially in the Petchtanong fight where teeps were pivotal for distance management and yet they were nowhere to be found. No side kicks either. Much love either way and good luck for his next fight 🔥

I said the same thing. "The shortest distance between two points is a straight line."
I'd like to see him learn to fight southpaw so he can fight "switch". I used to switch stances on people at appropriate times. Some opponents get thrown off just by the fact you are equally good with each stance. Know what i mean?

Karate teaches mae giri which is similar to teep kicks

@@user-ov1ps7go4m trust me, i know all about that. Front snap/teep is most useful strike in full contact karate too.

Someone made a comment on a video saying he’s a combination of Buakaw and Lyoto Machida. I agree even though Machida is Shotokan

Hiroki himself rarely use front kick, and he can't grapple. But okay.

Hiroki has a strong karate background, but I think his success is thanks to all of his Muay Thai training. He's a beast at Muay Thai!

He's been fighting way longer than he's been training Muay Thai

@@zenmartialartist701 facts don't take away his from his Kyokushin training, because he's done a bit of muay thai. Considering the way he throws his kicks is still pretty much Kyokushin, all he's doing is mainly Kyokushin Karate with punches to the head.

@@kesenaememere8520 You could say he's now using his own brand of Karate, it's Akimoto's style of Karate now after mixing it with Muay Thai and Kickboxing training.

I wanna see Akimoto trained in boxing. I want to see him unleash those fast powerful hands and not depend on his jab-lowkick combo. I wanna see that close inside boxing brawl and angle off only do box again. But overall, he's one of my favorite fighters in ONE.
