Christmas markets at Rathausplatz
Vienna's town hall is one of the main landmarks of the city. So it's no wonder that the Christmas markets at Rathausplatz are spectacular. The entrance itself is like something from a fairy tale - a several-meter long porch lit by candles. A huge Christmas tree with glowing hearts invites you to a romantic kiss. The Viennese ice dream (Eistraum) or ice skating on a two-story ice rink of 9,500 m² or icy roads in the Town Hall Park is an absolutely exceptional experience. Children will be amazed by the twelve-meter carousel, the reindeer train or the cottage with its own ice rink. All this surrounded by countless market stalls. Christmas village at Belveder Castle

Christmas Village at Maria-Theresien-Platz
You can walk from Rathausplatz to the Christmas Village on Marie Therese Square. With its stands, it fills the area between the monumental buildings of the Museum of Art History and Natural History in the neo-Renaissance style. As you browse through the beautifully lit square, you will come across handicrafts, unique Christmas gifts and irresistible treats.

Christmas markets at Stephansplatz
The Gothic cathedral Stephansdom is a must-see monument in Vienna. It is located in the Inner City (Innere Stadt) and is impossible to miss. The Christmas markets there are rather a smaller affair, which enhances the cozy atmosphere against the backdrop of the breathtaking cathedral. The surroundings of Štěpánské náměstí are made up of picturesque town houses, including the one where Mozart lived.

Christmas markets at Schönbrunn Palace
The area of the imperial palace from the 17th century hosts Christmas markets where, in addition to the tempting aromas, you will feel the aristocratic atmosphere of the old days.
