I did the Satchel Paige missions as well, they were fun to do and it was nice learning about lesser know baseball history, I didn’t even know about the card rewards until I beat all of his missions. This mode is a big W I’m glad we’re getting part 2 next year
The names of Satchel Paige’s pitches are what he named them. In the big story where he struck out Gibson while calling the team off he told Gibson what pitch was coming and gave him an option. That’s why they were called Dodge, Bee and others
When you finish the storylines you get a 95 Buck O’Neil he’s also a team captain and at level 3 everyone from storylines gets +25 power on each side and +20 h/9. Pretty insane
I just played tables with my full negro league squad. 6 of them are 99 under buck oneil. Don't worry about the seeming lack of high power rating. SDS boost them when you unite them under buck. It's insane. Oh and 99 Satch was a finest card on day 3...
I've done 7 of the 8 storylines and they are all pretty easy. I struggled with 1 moment (it was 3 perfect innings and that sucked) but i really enjoyed this mode. I knew almost nothing about the negro leagues cause im only 18 most of the players in these storylines died before i was born. I really enjoyed the mode and it was just easy to watch and i loved learning about these players. I'm definately gonna make it a point to go to the negro leagues baseball museum at some point during my life because I want to learn more.
I’m working on the last one. I haven’t been able to play as much as I’ve wanted to since it came out but I’m on the Martin Dihigo one and yeah they will probably all make my squad.

Went to the Negro Leagues Museum in KC a couple weeks ago. Genuinely the best museum I've ever been to and had me engaged the whole way through. Can't wait to expand on what I learned there when this game comes out on game pass.

Bob Kendrick has a podcast called black diamonds full of stories of the Negro League and players. Would highly recommend. Not only is the podcast interesting but also yes his voice and enthusiasm is great.
Dimmu, avoid Urias at any cost, at least in my opinion. He has good stats and everything, but (at least on strike zone 2 view) his leg kick blocks like 1/5 of the plate.
