Hi Publik, thanks for the great video! Only one question: @16:54 you have 3 Surge of Insanity procs show on the screen. How do you make it shows more than two? Mine only show maximum 2 even if I have 4 SOI procs saved. :(
Quick question: I like that your Surge of Insanity procs in the default UI have a gap between them (specifically, between proc indicator 1 and 3, and 2 and 4). How did you do that? My procs 1 | 3 and 2 | 4 are stacked on top of one another.
Question for archon shadow. Is it possible to drop void torrent? Or is that too much damage loss? Void torrent feels like garbage to press (in archon) and I have a hard time fitting it into my usual rotation.

Also in the shadow priest guide on icy veins you said use sw death then pain when we need to move/don't have anything else up. Why's there an order? I'm new to this class and I'm still learning some basics, currently I can't sync my burst very well unless I just wait for all of them to reset :/ I also feel like for a lot of time I don't have anything up but mind flay. You manually dot as the pack is gathered to augment shadow crash only dotting 8 targets. SWD is more damage/insanity than SWP is but it’s marginal. If you are spending alot of time casting normal mind flay you are liking spending your devouring plague too quickly. Outside of cooldowns only cast it if it’s not active, about to expire, or you are capping on insanity.

Hey Publik, I tested, Inside the Yogg M+ High Key Build, one point in Mindful Devourer against one point in Maddening Touch also without Silence, 2 points each. And for me, Maddening Touch, felt more consistent. Sometime I get DP proccs when I dont want them or none when I want them. Madding Touch felt a bit better on getting consistent Ressouces. It sims less ofc, but I am a fan of as little proccs as possible. What is your reason behind picking Mindful Devourer over it, just a numerical thing or am I missing something here? Mostly numerical yes but keep in mind Maddening Touch is also a proc. Maddening Touch proc rate also goes down as you add targets to prevent it from scaling out of control. Generally speaking the difference between the two should be considered preference, with Mind Devourer generally being better for Single Target. That simple preference towards single target makes it better for most people in my opinion.

I generally don't let mind blasts cap at 2. Same for mind flay insanity. Once it gets to 4, use at least one. Just like you don't want to cap on insanity. Anytime any of them are capped, you're losing on damage. I usually use whatever is up, and hit the procs before the proc expires. Alot of times I'll try and save the procs/void eruption for when I have to move and cast be casting.
It depends on how fast the pack lives. Like Publik said he sometimes skips straight to void eruption cause he knows the pack won't live the full duration, in that case you don't double mind blast first
Good question! In Mythic+ environments this is considered optional depending on how long the pack lives. If you know the pack will live a while sneaking those in is great, otherwise skipping it if you know it wont live that long is a good thing.
Hey how do you sim your priest for mythic+? Which fighting style do you choose? Dungeonslice? Everytime I sim void weaver is way better. I might be doing something wrong
For my own personal sims I just do Patchwerk, Light Movement, and DungeonSlice depending on how significant what im testing is. For theorycrafting work I use a full suite of DungeonRoute sims to get more data for smaller things like talent changes. More info here: warcraftpriests.github.io/bookofshadows/guides/dungeonsims/
Would certainly suggest Mastery for Raid and for Mythic+ you can kind of do either depending on which one you are a bit lower on. But yes thats the general guidance
I have like pretty decent gear a lot of bis track and I'm 619 ilvl ive done some 10s but I can't replicate the dps I see here and others doing and I have zero idea what I'm doing wrong the rotation is correct and talents. Very confused
Any shadow priesters in chat who pug, how long do you have to queue to get into a key? I'm talking around 10's. Playing my bear tank atm but i miss my shadow priest so much but afraid of queue simulator.
Its not the right time to play SP yet. Keep playing tanking. We still need some buffs. Im doing +11's and it still takes time to get from 10's when Im alone. People still dont believe sp's dmg.
This class needs a buff bad. No burst, if you roll aoe your single target is ass. Low keys you do no damage. Regret ever rolling this class. I have 2300 IO.
Spec feels horrible outside of CD's, even with a relatively decent haste/mastery budget - it's pretty damn squishy too. Spriest really, really needs some love.

Short answer is no, it does a lot of damage for us, particularly in single target and even in AoE with Psychic Link.

For utility I would suggest Dwarf or Night Elf, otherwise play whatever you'd like :)
IMO for pugging Voidweaver is better, but either can do well.
Interesting m+ build, but why all top shadow priests in warcraft logs run a different build for m+? Do you think yours is overall better?
when I sim them, on dungeon slice, the builds are mostly equal, however when I sim patchwerk 5 min 5 bosses, the other build is ~250k dps higher
Which one specifically? In the video I showed 3 builds. Most top end keys will run triple idol for more AoE

Yeah the Hybrid build is aimed at giving you more boss damage until you need the bigger aoe for push keys at which point you go Triple Idol.

With changeling, would you recommend haste or mastery? Or is it as simple as mastery for raid, haste for mplus?

Or mouseover macros on your VT. Tab isn't always reliable and could cause you to target and pull something you don't want to.
So as a SP i only do damage every 2min ?
Big damage every 2 minutes, smaller peak damage every minute as Archon

I love shadow priest But I feel like I can't play it to save my life constantly being carried in groups.
That "buff" we just got 😅 seemed to be only on paper. I felt zero difference.
For the most part Archon did not get buffed. 1-3% maybe but that is not something you will feel
