    There is almost always air in liquid filled gauges. The liquid of choice (often oil) needs to be able to expand a bit with temperature changes, sitting out in the sun , shrinking when being out in the cold. If there wasnt a bubble, it would ruin the gauge and leak out. It's the same reason soda bottles, bottles of soap etc etc - Anything filled with a liquid always has room to expand or retract.

    I scored a brand new one today for $480.we have a returns sorting center near me for online sells of everything you can think of. When I saw this on the floor my eyes almost pooped out of my sockets. I wanted to buy one three years ago but after spending 40 grand on my garage I didn’t have the heart to tell my wife so I settled for a wall mounted BE. Now I will order the DI system and the wand! What sucks about two years ago I saw the same one he has at the return center and it didn’t register in my mind until well after!

    When you are looking for special fittings in stainless have you considered talking to a machine shop?
    I run a precision engineering firm in the UK and this is the kind of thing we would help clients design and then manufacture to their spec.

    After you pull off the feed line for the detergent injector is there any need to cap it? Wouldn't that be prudent? Snip off a couple of inches the line you pulled off put a screw or something to cap it off and slide it back on the fitting and done.

    I like this channel and respect Matt's approach to excellence greatly. I specially like the video when he is talking about and going through the modification to his cars. But isn't it a bit excessive to have a $1600 pressure washer to hose down the soup of the car once a week or so for most people. I live in a country that the cars get caked in tar and salt and you need a pressure washer to hose the chemicals of that dissolves the tar and all that. But a basic 100-120 psi pressure washer gets the job done usually without any issues for many years. The only thing you need to get, is a decent rubber hose to replace that plastic hose that comes standard.

      Einar Ingi Einarsson you aren’t limited to just using it for your car. You can use it for your home and driveways etc too. You’re paying for quality but I know where you’re coming from.

      I got by just fine with a bucket, sponge, and Absorber for years and years. Over the years I had a modicum of success with more disposable income. Having a natural curiosity and more money made me chase better products and processes. Taking money out of the equation, would I rather use the process I have now or the one I had then? Which would you choose if you were me?

    You could try to use Tru Blu thread sealant, so you don’t have to torque them down so tight. It might be to messy for you though?

    • @ObsessedGarage
      @ObsessedGarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The problem with using that is these need to be replaced periodically. It's much harder to break those loose.

    • @lewisfisk
      @lewisfisk 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      This stuff doesn’t dry like Loctite. Tru blu stays pliable and can be removed. It’s basically liquid Teflon tape, but better.

    Hi,
    nice video.
    How much pressure do you have set on the car wash ?

    • @ObsessedGarage
      @ObsessedGarage  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I run mine at 900PSI.

    • @JekaCZE
      @JekaCZE 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ObsessedGarage Only 900? (62,05 BAR). From Kranzle dealers I have had the recommended pressure for contactless car washing ideally 120-140 bar (1740 - 2030 PSI) So I'm surprised by your value.

    Hi Matt. Love your videos, so much so that i got a new kranzle K1152 TST here in the UK. I have a question i believe you or your subscribers may be able to answer. I can only get about 80 bar (1400 psi) from the machine so why is it the spec sheet saying between 30 - 130 bar. i have known you talk of 1400 psi but this confuses me.

    • @ObsessedGarage
      @ObsessedGarage  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actual pressure is different than measure pressure of the pump. Think of it like drive train loss in a car (crank vs. wheel horsepower).
