Hmm, like i said before. The Germany versions are already at Book 20 or 21. So yeah, Image Comics has a lot to do to get even! Maybe even with courtcases, it's about time they publish a hardcover of Curse of the Spawn. It's only 29 issues if i remember. Just put aside the law crap and just publish it! Or a Spawn: The Undead hardcover. I tried TPB's, but i dislike them really much, if you bend them over too far, pages will fall out.
Apparently either it was or still is supposedly in limbo. Todd for the longest time was pissed how they did the spawn movie he said he had no input whatsoever. He stated he wanted to reboot it with his own money. So that was holding it back. But other stuff started coming up in why it’s been delayed so long . So time went by and was brought up again and Todd said something bout a script or what his vision was. This new spawn was gonna be r rated and more detective type movie so it be based more on Sam and twitch characters. Spawn would only come out periodically but the movie wouldn’t really be based on him but the murders that happen. Unfortunately they said off all people to play spawn was Jaime fox. I guess if your not gonna see spawn a lot guess it dsnt make a difference
Greg Capullo was already drawing Spawn with issue #16 and Tony Daniel drew a few issues starting with #38. I wish they would include the Angela Miniseries that goes before issue #29 and the Blood Feud Miniseries Tony Daniel drew. I feel I didn't give Angel Medina enough credit, his art is up there with the best of them.

Aww ye. Pre ordered the latest volume edition signed a few months ago. Not sure if I will collect all but i wanted to have at least one of them in this size signed. I'm sure once I get it and get to enjoy the artwork in this size I'll want them all lol.

I am pumped they are continuing the Hardcover Origns books that hold about 12 issues each, Vol 11 was just released and vol 12 is coming out this year, keep them coming, love Spawn!
Todd's work and the other artists for the Spawn books are just on another level. Todd allowing artists to do their own thing IMO is what separates Spawn from pretty much any series out there now. I may be wrong but I think Todd was the first artist to break the rules and not stay within the "lines" of keeping stuff within panels.
These are nice. But ill stick with the compendiums. They already confirmed that they will go up to 6 and release one every 50 issues. I never grew up with spawn or anything. So theses were just awesome value to jump in and read everything and get caught up to current issues. Yea I wish they released hardcover omnibus of it of course. But its fine.

My collection of Spawn deluxe hardcovers is mostly reprints except for the third one and it's the only autographed copy. I'm a happy Spawn collector that I could get.
I saw these on Organic Priced Books website when I got my Dark Nights Omni Pre Order... They are still available 2. AND U know I Had to use my GemMint code 💪
I've pre-purchased the Signed Edition of Vol 5 and it keeps getting pushed back to another later date. Now I don't know whether to cancel it and just order the standard edition because its already out now and I don't want to miss out on either editions if it just happens that they all go out of stock. So Vol 5 signed edition suppose be around Jan 24th, but I can't see that happening. Boy, I hoping my signed edition doesn't come shipped damaged because it might be hard to get a replacement due to limited number of editions. If my signed edition gets damaged I may want to send it directly to Todd McFarlane for a replacement haha. I do like the compendiums as I like having 50 issues per book as it's also a nice book size and I'm not really an absolute edition size fan due to the enormous book height is troubling for my bookshelves as I have to re-adjust my bookshelves for that size. I rather have hardcover omnibus size as it's not too tall in size but holds more pages than absolute editions. So why Todd McFarlane isn't making any hardcover omnibuses? It's not like he can't do it as its more like 'Why isn't he doing it'? and 'What's stopping him from doing it'? Note: It will take 6 compendiums to reach issue #300 but it will take 12 deluxe editions to reach issue #300, but since we are only two compendiums away from getting to issue #300 it would be easier to collect the compendiums due to faster release. But I don't like having to double dip just to get hardcover versions of Spawn...if only if the compendiums were hardcover and had cover artwork in them I wouldn't be getting a deluxe edition. So I don't know how many deluxe editions I will be getting...maybe only 1 or 2 or just 1 signed edition for now...also depending on story too that I might want in deluxe edition size.
I hope Todd & Co had finally listened to the fan support. In Germany they're at Book 20 of the Spawn Origins HC. I can pre-order book 12 at my fav comic store. So keeping fingers crossed that they will continue with a lot more! More Spawn is the better! And hopefully a Gunslinger HC.
Is there a difference between the old ones and the reprinted? because I was able to find #1-4-5 reprinted, but #2-3 the old versions, so would that matter in my collection is there any noticeable difference?

I remember my basement flooded a bit due to the old school washer breaking. Man my comic boxes that were on the floor were all wet and rotten looking afterwards. Luckily the comics did not get affected since their in plastic bags...but i do know what you mean!

I would just stick with the compendium issues unless can get these on sale. At 100$ each, you're getting 25 issues less for 40$ more than the compendium costs (I saw for sale for 60$). They both don't really offer the covers from what it looks like, and the bonus material... is it really worth the money? The hardcover is always nice, but big pass for me.

The Spawn storylines don't get enough love IMO. McFarlane has really created one badass universe.

Not even Todd can replicate himself. I HATE his new digital pen technique he settled on. It's blurry on print, and not as detailed.

The spawn story and atmosphere is what made me fall in love with it. This edition is pretty much perfect, all issues, the covers, bonus material...
This set has to be one of the best presented series of deluxe books out there.

The Compendium suck. I was flipping through one at Midtown Comics and the cover creased easily on me and the corner bent easily. Its a waste of paper.
