Hi Don. Great review on this Phomemo portable printer, it would be a great option when you're away from the office. Also, thank you for choosing my video for your 'We Roll', I appreciate it very much. Cheers from Newfoundland and Labrador. ☺
please remember thermal printed paper has a lifetime. The solution is to scan and print with a laser printer. Otherwise when you look at the thermal print in say 5 years - it is blank!
True, but as a test (unmentioned in the video), I left samples out in the glaring sun and hot car for a few days. Surprisingly, no impact on the paper or print.
Do you think those mini printers are good to print jar or bottle labels? I have small business selling handmade lotions, soaps, shampoos, etc and need oil & waterproof printing that won’t rub off.
@AB4Jss I don't know that I'd recommend it for something like that. Being thermal paper, they don't handle exposure to heat or liquids well, and they only print in black. They're fine for receipts and things, but I don't think you'd be happy using them for branding or packaging.
Great review,it's exactly what I'm after, just bought one off amazon,I noticed when you took the roll of paper out you didn't replace the plastic guide clip back in so hence the the A4 wasn't straight.Really looking forward in using this on the fly.👍🏻
Hey Don Love from Peterborough❤ Was waiting the entire video for arms to unfold and start flying. I could always use a flying printer. Would be good for printing weather reports, notams ect.
Thorough review. Thanks ! I eschew (gesundheit... lol) printing these days, but we do have a reliable ink spitter... for those rare times I hit print. Reminds me of the good old fax machine days.
@@DonJoyce So when I went into my Gmail list on the Mail app on my iPhone as the mail has all of my Email accounts, You select a document you want to print you press what looks like a box with an up arrow this is a share button, when you click it your phone should show Recommended then it will have Phoneme icon you select it then the phone will load the document then in the Printers app you are able to print from there. This worked for me for my Gmail, Hotmail, and my Outlook emails
I have the MO8F and you feed paper in front the front, it does a good job but after several pages the paper wants to slide more to the left. My printer is very quiet, not noisy like yours.
Hi Don, thanks for your review. I appreciate that. I have one of these coming in a couple weeks and it looks like it'll do what I need it to do. I saw you put that paper in on a slant and I was saying "I bet I do the same thing." 💜
I just bought it with the same paper as you but for me even with heavy thickness it’s no really working. X.X half of the texte is very very very light and some part are okay.
This may sound like a silly question but how do you just feed blank paper without opening the machine? For instance, I have a Brother QL-700 that has a button just to feed paper.
@@DonJoyce Thank you for your reply, but I am talking about a different thing: feeding the paper as much as I want. Useful when you reach the end of the printing but not the end of the sheet for instance, then you have to open the machine to remove the sheet. A feed button would be handy for that. It's amazing it doesn't have one. I must be missing something trivial here. (I tried to double click the power button but it just prints a QR code and the machine specs.)
And I bought three of those too many problems!! to even start off with. I’ll just stick with my regular size printer. I am returning all three back to Amazon.
me I'm returning the M832, it has so many problems for printing from A4 in windows, it will print what it wants to , when it wants to and the times it wants to!! because of it,yesterday i spent two hours for printing 15 pages, for me not worth, i'm sending it back to China😅

Hey, Fred! Your NL footage was great! Thanks for the WE-ROLL submission!

These papers are qualified for at least 10 years.
Can you print on the same paper again once it has faded?
Hmm... Having seen it in action, I don't think I'll be getting one. Thank you for saving me the time!
It's great as a portable printer!
I have a mini Phomemo printer. It's awesome. It even prints stickers.
Ive been planning on buying this also.
Cool! You'll like this one then!

Thx 4 showing us the Pros and Cons! I don't like the paper rolls for the same reason you mentions messy scrolls!
The scrolls are a pain, but they do allow the printer to be VERY portable without having to fuss with the flat sheets.
👍🏾🍷Thanks for sharing the intel brotha. Remain Blessed
Thanks!

Glad it was helpful. I did have the plastic clip in place...but in the wrong slot.
@DonJoyce Thank you for your reply,ah I see.I am getting my printer tonight, also getting a hard case for it. I'm looking forward in using it 🙂
Where is the clip? My paper wants to slide to the left after printing several pages. I have the MO8

That would be printing on the fly! LOL
@@DonJoyce thats a good one. Lol
hopefully you kept the receipt
Ha ha. Amazon is a wonderful thing.

Yes! It IS similar to a fax machine in some ways.
@Don Joyce I was able to print an email from my phone without uploading it as a PDF File. It printed Fine
Good! What mail app? For Gmail, it allowed me to select an item...but then there was no print function.

I can always record a small video so you can see what I did if that is easier for you
Hi sir.
I have same printer like but its not printing what should i do but i am using normal paper does that effect?
You need to use thermal paper.
You can't use normal A4 you need to buy thermal paper and can only use 1 side.
Great video. The problem was, that you didnt put back the little black thing. Thats why it couldnt pull in the paper ;)
Actually it was in, but in the wrong spot.
Hi, apart from the paper, is there a consumable to replace every certain number of prints? I'm thinking of thermal ribbon or something like that.
There are no other consumables other than the thermal paper. The battery is rechargeable via USB-C, with the cable included.
Thank you for the answer!
There isn't thermal ribbon as far as I know.

Lol...yeah, sometimes it's tough to do these reviews and get things straight at the same time!
Is it double sided?
No.
@@DonJoyce Do I need to replace anything in these printers because I heard that the transfer ribbon needs to be replaced?
@@qqq-u3eThere is no ribbon or anything replaceable. It is a thermal printer which heats the special printer to make the image.
Can you use this for a tattoo stencil?
There was some mention of tattoos in the instructions, but I have no idea. Please look at the product description details before purchasing.
Is this type of paper acceptable in government offices?
I would certainly think so...unless there's a 'must not be on non-thermal paper' rule somewhere!
How many prints do a machine like this last. Meaning will i get to print 100 000 A4 peices of paper out of it
I don't know.
I just bought it with the same paper as you but for me even with heavy thickness it’s no really working. X.X half of the texte is very very very light and some part are okay.
Sounds defective to me....I recommend returning it.
what about colors?
Thermal printers print only in black. You may be able to find different colours of paper; not sure.
easiest way is to take a pic on ur phone and use image selection then u don't have all that crap of going on internet and loading it in.
Good tip! Thanks!

I demonstrate how it's done towards the end of the video. It's a bit fiddly, but the printer detects and engages the paper when you stuff it in.

OK...this one works fine...

Ok.
Can I use normal A4 paper?
I mean no thermal paper?
Sorry...a thermal printer requires thermal paper.
@@DonJoyce appreciate it
Thank you🥰

I didn't try it from a PC or laptop, just my phone.
I hate that their ads are misleading . They say this uses regular paper on their Instagram page which is a big lie 😡
Yeah...maybe regular THERMAL paper!
This thing is the biggest piece of shit I ever bought. I can't get the red light to go away And it's brand new
I have taken all the advice you've given me and the red light still won't go away. Any help out there?
I am not Phomemo customer support! If you can't determine the solution, contact their support line or return the item as defective.
@DonJoyce I know you're not and I did try to contact support
