Many thanks, I'd started to go about it all the wrong way - I could have ended up half dismantling the car! One complication though, our 2000 Punto ELX has a large plastic speaker box on the left hand side of the boot blocking access to the lower nut but managed by taking out a fixing screw just below the boot mat and then pulling the speaker out by two or three inches.
@@PuntoHowto that is it yes! Thanks for the reply. Since then, I’ve managed to get the nuts off with another tool in the car. So thankfully all is sorted now 😅
Hello punto how to I have a fiat pinto Grande 2006 and my high center light has one or two lights gone and I cannot find a video to fix it is it possible you could make a video or and walk though I could use thanks.
i have the same problem but with high level breake light...but i open it and all bulbs are looking good so i dont know where i should be a problem...any ideas maybe??thanx m8
What if u change the bulbs and its still showing on dashboard faulty lamp? Especially mine is wen i apply brake nd wen i indicate left. With both the light flickers...
My rear left multi plug has a burnt earth (i think). I want to change the multi plug on the left hand side but I dont know how I can remove the multi plug and replace it. I have a punto grande 2007. Pleas help
M-Sufi-Sufi -Sufi you would need to cut it out and solder in a new plug with wiring its a common occurrence so fiat might do a replacement in their parts department
I did have a mk1 punto in about 2005, I seem to remember, that despite being a different car the process for changing the back light bulbs was largely the same, obviously some differences in the layout of things because of the different designs.
PuntoHowto thanks man! i have the older punto (as u can see in my thumbnail) and i don't get errors if a light bulb gone off, so i guess it 'll be cool with leds!!
Thats cool then ! just make sure you get food quality bulbs with LEDs getting the brightness right is important, as you don't want people blinded by your tail lights and unable to see your brake lights make sure there is a good difference in power between the two
most likely the seal between the light and the piece that holds the bulbs has gone and is letting in moisture, take it all apart clean the seal and dry out the light and you might find its ok after that
Bought my first car 2 months ago, this video was great! Thank you so much.
Thanks for letting me know, which model did you buy and where are you in the world ?
Excellent explanation, calm and clearly understood.
Thanks for the comment 👍
Thanks man!! Saves a trip to the garage and costs only one Euro for the bulb!!
Good that you used the standard tool kit, I got mine out of a scrappy complete with jack and space saver for £10 - way better than the squirty can!
If they give you the tools then use them, especially useful if you blow a bulb halfway through a journey miles from your tool box
Thank you very much.you saved me at a gas station in Belgium
Thanks for the video, very helpful, here we have another simple service item made difficult to replace quickly
i was looking for this for a long time. thank you very much

Great video! Thank you Mr Punto man.
Was wondering why I only had one fog light, thanks for the detailed diagram
Many cars have one fog light (even if there's enough space for 2) so it's less similar to brake lights. And it's cheaper of course.
Great video. So many thanks!
very helpful, thank you!
What kind of bulb goes for position light ?
Great stuff. Thanks a mill!
Anyone know what you call the tool to undo the locks? My car is missing it from the wheel In the rear, so need to order a new one.
Do you mean the locking wheel nut key?
@@PuntoHowto that is it yes! Thanks for the reply. Since then, I’ve managed to get the nuts off with another tool in the car. So thankfully all is sorted now 😅
Cheers. I found the second nut myself, in the most logical place (Punto Active 2003)
Is there a other way to remove the lights without the plastic tool that comes with the car? My car does not have it
Yep just a normal socket I think it’s 17mm will do the job 👍
Hi , I’ve changed the bulbs but the warning light comes on as I’m braking !, any ideas ?
If the brake light bulbs are all ok and the correct wattage. Then it’s likely to be a bad earth which I have done a separate video about
Very helpfull ... Thank you !
Good and helpful. Thanks.
Anyone know offhand what size socket spanner I could use in place of the grey plastic tool? Mine's gone walkabout.
I think it’s a 17mm same as the wheel bolts
@@PuntoHowto That's great, thanks.
Thank you so much!

👍 from Hindustan India.
Do you have a way on how to change tail light bulb on mk 1 model from 1997?
I did have a mk1 punto in about 2005, I seem to remember, that despite being a different car the process for changing the back light bulbs was largely the same, obviously some differences in the layout of things because of the different designs.
Thank you 😁
Hello i have punto 1997 1.1 and how to change rear bulbs thanks and sory for bad english
Thank you so much m8!!
it helps good , i fixed it thanks.
Thaaanks
Very good video
thank you :-)
great vid man thanks!!
i am thinking about changing the simple light bulbs, with led light bulbs!!
is it possible??
these would likely cause errors with the bulb failure module so you would forever have a warning light on your dash. but yes it can be done
PuntoHowto thanks man! i have the older punto (as u can see in my thumbnail) and i don't get errors if a light bulb gone off, so i guess it 'll be cool with leds!!

PuntoHowto yeah sure of course i don't want to blind people with my tail lights just wanna make it looks cool that's all! thanks for the advice!! ;)
I watched this because I have moisture inside the light unit - what's the cause of this?
most likely the seal between the light and the piece that holds the bulbs has gone and is letting in moisture, take it all apart clean the seal and dry out the light and you might find its ok after that
Thanks
I suppose the Fiat panda will be similar. Cheers
almost certainly, common problem on many cars. not just fiat.
Thx
✅☑️
Never touch light bulbs with your greasy fingers... lol
Thanks for the comment, but this is a myth and certainly doesn’t apply to tail light bulbs.
This tail lights is so ugly
