- This is a descriptive instruction video featuring the installation of an armrest in the Tata Tiago 2021 model. The same applies to the Tata Tigor as well.
The part is suitable for all Tiago and Tigor models from 2016. The price paid in October 2022 was Rs. 1800. The same part is available at Tata Motors for Rs. 6000 and on the Galio website for Rs. 2800. Therefore this is a very good price at Rs. 1800 from Gomechanic, and it cost zero to self-install at home!

Update: after a week of usage, I have noticed that pen holders are very tight. A regular pen doesn't fit in it, however the cheaper pens which cost ₹5-6 easily fit.
Are its ergonomics good like in normal seating position are you comfortable with resting your arm??

One year+ update - the armrest still holds strong and remains soft padded! It lives up to the initial quality and comfort provision while driving.
Dr Sir , its great DIY ....Congrats and Special Congrats as great job done though you are a Specialist Doctor by profession...just like an Engineer.............Now that 8 months are over since installation ,how do you find its usefulness and overall quality ?does it shake at base or quite sturdy !

The armrest rides along, strong and sturdy! No squeaks or creaks. The only negative I have is that it isn't wide enough for mine and my passenger's elbow together. Room for just one.

Bottles can be placed elsewhere around the cabin. Stay hydrated!

From mine rattling noise is coming... Have you faced a similar issue?
@@ashishroy1992 not an issue on mine. I recommend that you dismantle it and paste some foam tape on the contact surfaces. Re-install it then, and see if it sorts out.
@@lemedico actually it is coming from the hinge or lock of the storage area.. i'm still thinking how to correct it..
I also installed the same no issue so far. As doc suggested reinstall it with some foam 👍
HI, since we will be getting beige seats in our Tiago, would it be possible to have beige colour armrest ?
I haven't made a search myself but I do remember seeing ads for the same product in beige and also grey colours.

The car is faultless. The AMT gearbox leaves a lot of frustrating moments. It's too jerky and sluggish for my driving style
@@lemedico I guess that's the nature of the amts. I think the Tata ones run on mechanical actuators unlike the hyundai ones which run on electrical.
But due to this ...chances are the mechaincial ones could be more reliable than the electrical ones.

My armrest seems to be holding well. No squeaks.
Bottle holders aren't really compromised as there are a few more to use!

Please elaborate? The Tiago is far superior in my opinion. It also gives me the chance to spend time on it by improving the feature list by DIY!
@@lemedico but it's 3 cylinder engine vibrates a lot. Pick up is so bad as compared to grand i10
