- Gruffydd ap Llywelyn Fawr's (died 1244 on the Tower of London) turn to tell his stupid death.

From what I've read, Griffith's bed sheet rope actually was long enough, he actually fell because the rope couldn't support his weight. I'd argue that's even funnier
I have read that you can still see the bricked in window from which he exited on the knotted sheet rope. I can't find a photo of it anywhere, even in videos of the history of the tower.
He was a hard man, wasn't gonna let anything hold him back. The Welsh have that whole "do or die" in their blood, as was shown with Owain Glyndwr against the king's forces. The Celts were probably the strongest rulers during the Middle Ages and it seems they had the best armies.
He should have asked Pat Butcher to teach him some proper knots then.

The Father Of Wales, brought the country and its people to greatness. The statue of him there today is unbelievably magnificent, standing in the flesh, frozen in time, as if still watching over his beloved land. My Welsh brothers and sisters, if you pass by this monument, don't forget to pay your respects. Cymru Am Byth!

The statue was probably of Gruffyd ap Llewelyn , born 1010 last true King of wales. The Gruffyd in this video has the same name but didn’t do much apart from get captured in the tower of London and die, as well as being the Father of Llewelyn Ap Gruffyd (Llewelyn the last) who as the name suggests was the last Prince of Wales.

If Death is looking for a truly idiotic way to die, he should look no further than the death of American businessman Jasper Newton Daniel on October 9, 1911. Daniel died from a gangrene infection that resulted from an injury he sustained after kicking his safe in anger.

Griffith Ap Llewelyn, son of Prince Llewelyn the Great and father of Llewelyn the Last. He might not have accomplished much himself but he is a link between two important Welsh figures.
A death the Grim Reaper would think is especially funny. Name: Thomas Jackson. Occupation: Confederate General during American Civil War. What led to his death: Shot on a foggy day, by his own soldiers.

Found another stupid death in history and have a link to proof it if you want. Greek philosopher Empedocies of Akragas Year of death 434 B.C. He believed that he was immortal to prove it he jump into an active volcano (Mount Etna) he was wrong.
"And how did you die?"
"Well, my employer required us all to be vaccinated against COVID. But I oppose vaccines on religious grounds, so I was granted an exemption."
"Yes, and?"
"I got COVID, and I died from it."

Although how he died is true his first name would jave been Gruffudd (as it wouldn't have taken the English spelling)
