Thank you . Putting up my GAZEBO next weekend! I will purchase a screen to put into the gutters right away. I also will look for a black hose to attach to each of the 4 corners. Appreciate your effort.
If you properly pitch the gazebo away from the house you could plug the holes by the house and let it drain towards the back. That's what I did and works out fine. If you filled the ends of the gutter with great stuff the water will still get in through the center connections where the insert bar connects the two supports together. Now it will always be full of water unless you try to caulk all the seams. Unfortunately this is just a bad gutter design. What else do you expect from china. I would also drill a couple bigger holes at the bottom of the gutter for better water flow. It gets clogged because there's just not enough drainage space for the water and muck to escape properly.
@@zurzeroI have mine on a properly pitched brick patio so I didn't have to put anything underneath it. If your gazebo is level just put a 1 dollar patio block underneath one side.
i just build up a new 12x16 hardtop gazebo like yours. and i facing the situation middle of the beam is leaking , same as ur video. and it's brand new, no blockage. how can i fix it? tks
thank you for you answer and help. i have the same situation as 0:43-0:44 as ur video. I put silicon on the gap from top. but not help at all. any more sugeestion can help on that? appreciate.
@@junjun5820 I misunderstood your earlier question. Leaks from the horizontal beam joints are likely caused by water getting in at the corners and running along the beams. Doing the things I did in the video (plugging up the beams on the corners and cutting the plastic corner pieces) is all I did, and that solved the problem. Have you done those things?
That was a great idea for the gutters, may I ask did u lay out all curtains first and unzipp them and did u face the curtain retailer in towards mittle on both rows at my house u are known as the one man purple leaf gazebo builder it can be done we did complete lthks for all the tips have a wonderful day, and this is why I love TH-cam
The reputation of a one-man gazebo builder! I'm honored! I did not use the screesn or the curtains. I used one curtain "the wrong way" because the sun got in my eyes sometimes: th-cam.com/video/DHbjbU1VH08/w-d-xo.html
I was just quoting from the instructions. It didn't offer any reason behind the instruction to keep it away from other structures. Probably just something the lawyers told them to put in the instructions.

Great idea about some way to get each corner's water down to the ground. Mine splatters quite a bit, since it's just falling.

Good ideas, Roger. Thanks.
Roger what did you used to raise the gazebo on one side under the legs? I will try to pitch mine just like you said. Thanks 👍🏼

Hard to say why it's leaking. My guess would be that the roof panels are somehow not in the right position.

I'm looking to put mine next to the house as well by my sliding glass door. Why do you say that it's not "supposed to"? Is it a safety reason?

A bit of tape, painters paper does wonders to avoid clean up that may scratch the metal paint.
Thanks for the tip.
