Up to now, I’ve taken my car to the dealer and they would reset it when they did any service, but didn’t want to wait until then. So nice to get that annoying maintenance reminder off my screen every time I started the car! Appreciate your help!
This is a follow up on my comment below. For me in the USA, I followed the manual page 588 and it worked first try. It is also under the Lexus FAQ. Thanks.
Did not work. As soon as I turned the ignition off, the "mode" turned back to ODE before shutting down. No way to have it in Trip A when the ignition is turned on.
No. Not necessarily. If it goes off when you start the car then there's nothing to worry about. The Service Engine Soon light is typically just telling you that you need an oil change-typically set for a reminder every 3000 miles. You can reset it...and if it comes right back on then it might be worth a check with the dealer ship to see if there's a problem. However, if the Check Engine light comes on-get it checked immediately.

I use the 20k oil. I usually change it at about 15k. 120k miles later, it’s working great!

O ok sweet it's been bugging me yes I did oil change and what you say be best 3,000 or 5,000 mile oil change ?
Dakhangsta I use Mobile 1 extended mileage and change it every 15,000 miles. Makes sure to get an extended mileage oil filter as well if you do this.
Tried this numerous times--IT DID NOT WORK. I went to settings on the wheel and reset maint and oil and it worked
