Bankhead courts been demolished for over 7 years now, it's nothing but open Land now. I'm from Atlanta and a lot of those pictures are old because those houses are gone and being replace with new Townhomes and new houses. When Shirley Franklin took office as the mayor she said before she leaves all the projects in Atlanta will be gone, she was the mayor of Atlanta for 8 years and all the projects where gone in 6 and a half years.
but lol bank head was rough
RL Driver Facts.
RL Driver exactly. His pics are as old as his momma!
And Bankhead Hwy was even changed to Veterans Memorial to try to "clean up" that area it was so bad. I remember going through that area as a teenager. There would be people hanging out at the redlight trying to sell you drugs. All cracked out. Talkin about Ayy mane you need a rock? I gotta 8 ball I sell you.
Exactly these pictures are probably 2008-2011
what you are showing for "downtown" Atlanta is actually Midtown Atlanta. Downtown is a totally different area all together.
markjwu I know this guy just make money he’s wayyyy off 🤣🤣🤣
That was the first thing I noticed. I live in midtown and went "Hey, that's not downtown!!!"
Exactly. But you know he'll say "stop typing" and claim he knew that.
THANK YOU
Agreed.
We need no one to come to Atlanta we are full anyway.
Almond J. Agreed.
Amen!
😂 preach. we aint got space for no damn body
Big ole faxx
Almond J. 😂😂😂
Funny, these "worst neighborhoods" he lists due to crime are the EXACT targets of investors revitalizing these areas--ESPECIALLY the West End, Oakland City, Grove Park, Adair Park, and Pittsburgh.
Dara Abasute ok sis ole lying azz
Yea no one wants to revitalize any of these neighborhoods they trashed themselves by worthless living conditions because of crime. Huh
Yea with the beltline. I live right in Oakland
Oakland city*
Dara Abasute hes not posting white trailer trash parks
Atlanta native here. My advice to whoever wants to move is here: if you want to live in the city, live in Midtown or Buckhead, but I'd recommend living in northern or northeastern suburbs, Alpharetta, Duluth, Johns Creek, etc. DO NOT EVER go to the southern parts of the city or southern suburbs.
I live in Atlanta and some of the things it said here are inaccurate mainly due to “revitalization” of many of these areas. Others are just plain inaccurate. Even the rent figures are wrong for the city. You claimed 1200? Try 14-1500.
Where did you get your information? Please do not trash my city if you don’t know anything about it. Especially if you live in Oregon currently. Especially if you only did internet research. Everything you find on the internet isn’t true. And based on your criteria of price why isn’t buckhead, vinings, Druid hills, north Atlanta, Brookhaven, sandy springs, Dunwoody, pill Hill, mid town on your list for prohibitive pricing? East Atlanta, Virginia highlands, Edgewood for crime? Back in 2010 the rent was 1500 in Dunwoody for a 2br. Lord knows what it is now.
Point is, people will hang on your recommendations and you’re painting a very bad picture for the city based on internet research. If there was any proof you actually visited Atlanta, and these were your thoughts and recommendations it could be said that you have a bias since the areas here are predominantly minority areas to the exclusion of areas that have similar issues that are not predominantly minority residents. Sure the “internet says” but you can’t argue with objective fact. Internet reports are usually highly subjective presented in an objective manner.
So whenever you are in Atlanta look me up and I can show you the areas you mentioned and the areas you missed. And stop listening to everything you find on the internet for Christ’s sake.
Sephiroth Prime you must not watch the news
Yipyo1986 I don’t have to when I live in the city and know what’s going on in the city. Caution. You sound like you’re on the verge of grasping at straws to goad me into a debate. Well. That’s something that you nor I will do. It’s apparent you have nothing to contribute to productive dialogue. Therefore, this will be my last response to you here or anywhere unless you change your name or account to “troll” me.
By the way. Tell the OP he should get a refund on his investment. And the army goes rolling along...hook and roll battle.
Jy'ken Sinfieldmusic that user yipyo is not worth it. Yipyo is finished. Don’t let yipyo bait you into an emotional argument. That was the strategy - reel you in on race bait. Don’t argue with fools bc people would not be able to tell who is who and would not give due diligence to find out either. Perks of the times I suppose. Not the fools. They always existed; only the lack of care in finding out the facts of a situation before arguing one side or another. However, on this one you were spot on and not because you sided with me.
Sephiroth Prime Revitalization? More like Gentrification boy
Brando Lugardo surely you did not mean to use boy as a term of subordination. That would take a lot of assumption if you did. And you know what they say about assuming.
Funny that these are all the places that are being GENTRIFIED!
that's a good thing
bs no one wants to live in the bluff ...
Facts sis
Bankhead?? Gentrified?? They need to take bulldozers to everything along Bankhead and start over!!
Yeah moving in and fixing the place up ain't a bad thing. A lot of black folks are living in the suburbs nowadays. Hell Migos is from Lawrenceville. Future went to Columbia High in DeKalb County.
This is very outdated. You should come to West End and Adair Park to see that this guy is reading or googling. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. If this was 2013, this list would make sense. Not 2018.
You are 100% wrong. Just because you don't like a stat, doesn't mean it's wrong.
World According To Briggs I don't care about the stats. If they're the 10 worst, why are people flooding into those neighborhoods? There are other neighborhoods that are not on the list that aren't being touched that are just as poor as Oakland city or Pittsburgh.
So if the stats are real but people are rushing into those neighborhoods, what do you mean by "worst"?
This video looks like he is only showing boarded up homes/apt that no one is currently lived in for years there's a yellow no trespassing sign on those boarded up places where grass is overgrown. These places look like abandoned properties. (I'll copy and paste this up top)
Justin Davis exactly
I like the way Atlanta don't give up and just keeps rebuilding itself.
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Atlanta no where near as dangerous as it use to be. There was a time when the police wouldn't even go in Bankhead Court. It was nothing to go in East Lake Meadows "Little Vietnam" and see somebody come around the corner leaking. The Meadows started the trend of projects being torn down all over the country... It started there. There is still a high crime rate all over Atlanta even in the nice parts but nothing like it use to be. 60% of the people here now not even from Atlanta. My concern with Atlanta now is the growing gang culture that is growing with the younger generation..
JB ATL true. We're you from?
Gangs? In Atlanta
East Side Toney Valley
Hell yeah gangs in Atlanta.. Its the wave... They was just beefing. DaeDae on that crip shit beefing wit Skoob on that blood shit where u been
JB ATL the meadows was the first to go. They had to tear that mfer down cause it was a damn war zone! I agree with the growing gang culture as gangs have never been plentiful here in Atl. We have always claimed zones NOT sets! We had the Miami boys, folks, gd’s and down by law back in my day but all this blood and crip shit is outta control!
"here's a fun fact": During your discussion of Downtown you show 12th Street and Peachtree in the heart of Midtown - one of the very best areas in Atlanta a few blocks from Piedmont Park.
Hudson Carpenter lmao this guy just wants youtube money
here is a fun fact, you don't read or listen...he said some were the worst because of the rent...not violence...all 10 neighborhoods were not on the list for violence.
Lol
@@prettyricky2020 well if midtown is one of the worst places to live, where would be the best? Where would be the best in terms of low crime and high affordability. Nowhere, Atlanta?
@@mattmarkus4868 Go on the outskirts. Like Cobb County...🙄. It's affordable to people in high paying profession. It's not to the average 9-5 or low wage workers who would like to live in the best neighborhoods in ATL.
There are two sides to Cascade : the hood side and the rich side. I’m sure most of the crime takes place on the hood side but most people who didn’t grow up in or near the hood side don’t know much about it so when you mention Cascade they think of mansions or the skating rink . You have to actually be from the hoods of Atlanta to know the true depths of their culture . You can’t just go by what you see on the internet. I grew up on Cascade Ave which isn’t really Cascade Heights but for some reason they keep confusing us with the other side (the rich side)
Once you get past saayyyy BE Mays and the fork near the Beautiful headed towards the Outdoor Activity Center, it's pretty much the "pretty Cascade". I think this guy just wanted to be a satirist here.
The rich side is full of affluent blacks that don’t need the appeasement of white people in Alpharetta of Roswell. The homes are beautiful as you venture west.
facts
Mechanicsville and Pittsburgh is the same place basically
Nah two different hoods the track seperate us
And adair park
Not really mechanicville by old turner field
And Adair
Stop saying “fun fact”. It stopped being fun after the second time you said it.
I mean really 🙄😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Every neighborhood you listed is a predominantly black neighborhood. Before the hate comments begin, some of the best neighborhoods in Atlanta are also predominantly black neighborhoods. What these statistics don't tell is poverty is a disease, and if you have it there is little chance you will escape it. Why don't we try to learn how to cure the disease rather than showing the results.
I lived in Bankhead for 6 years. Had to fight almost every week. But I survived me and my 3 Bros
Cascade Heights isn't bad! It's full of working class people. There are doctors, educators etc that live in Cascade Heights.
Anínesah Rodriguez He never said there was he actually said the opposite and that the only thing bad was the lack of covenience
That's what I was thinking. Cascade is actually a good place, they should have placed Campbellton on the list instead.
Anínesah Rodriguez if u was paying attention, he said its not bad for the crime.. its bad because of the cost of living to live out there... its wayy too expensive.. LISTEN AND READING IS IMPORTANT
You are correct, Cascade Heights is where the richer black families are well known for living...buisness owners, lawyers, doctors, teachers, etc etc
The Bluffs are pretty bad. When I first came to Atlanta 20yrs ago the first neighborhood I lived in was the West End, and it was just as shitty then as it is now. A lot of these neighborhoods on this list are rapidly being cleaned up and gentrified because of the Superbowl coming to Atlanta though.
KETA RITA it's called the bluff
KETA RITA where is snow on the bluff
Warlock 6 I never said it was a bad thing. I just mentioned it was happening.
Naw Man Bluff Not How It Use To Be
KETA RITA Yeah I agree but some places in the SWAT arent all bad cause grew up not in the bluff , Nice Neighborhood in Atlanta went School with a Mix Class of people
Thank you for attempting to provide us with your top 10 worst neighborhoods in Atlanta. Online resources probably made it difficult to check for overall accuracy. That video you linked in with Bankhead is actually my video of Bankhead Court and it was shot in 2010. Bankhead Court was a good few miles and several neighborhoods down from the Bankhead Ave neighborhood that you mentioned in the video. I can see Pittsburgh, Mechanicsville, Grove Park, Adamsville, Oakland City and Bankhead making the list. Adair Park crime probably is spill over from Pittsburgh and Mechanicsville where the boundaries are blurred. The fact that English Avenue also known as the Bluff and Vine City weren't mentioned surprises me because they would be 2 out of the top 3 worst in my list, although they are getting better. I think Lakewood Heights, Campbellton Road (actual name of neighborhood), Dixie Hill...etc would all be considered worse than Cascade Heights. Cascade Heights is pretty affluent....a little unemployment rate doesn't really accurately portray that neighborhood as bad when violent crime and poverty are so much worse in other neighborhoods not mentioned.
terminuszone1 ya he stole people’s footage and he’s inaccurate bigtime
Psyops Blow Yeah, but it's all good. I appreciate the effort. I've tried to make videos of other cities affordable housing and I always catch some flack from folks because I made mistakes going by the cities housing authorities websites. It's tough if you don't actually live in the city. It's interesting to see what information folks find and how they the Atlanta neighborhoods without actually knowing firsthand.
I was just getting ready to post that he forgot the Bluff and Vine City...
I currently live in Atlanta and this video is inaccurate.
No it’s accurate
I live in Decatur...very accurate
Very inaccurate. Half of these spots are gentrified. He's talking about the West End like it's a hell hole. I had no issues with it when I was there.
I grew up in Decatur with Chris tucker ...very inaccurate. Maybe in 95 this would be close
@@theodoredecker9256 because it is an hell hole
I disagree...... do better research and where did u get your pics? Google as more accurate pics than you.
Born and Raised in Atlanta Georgia. Been here all my Life. Love my City Man! Very few Ga 🍑 left, but everybody try to claim. Anyways... Next video I want to see All the great parts of Atlanta my folk.
It has some great parts. I am doing the positive parts in June.
World According To Briggs That's wsup. Thanks!
Same sis! Born and raised in the A
Stephanie Woodruff ... Original Ga. Peach here as well! This muuffuuka lying!! Even back in the day I use to love visiting my cousin who lived in Adamsville. Wildwood!! Back in the day we had major fun. Every state has their bad ass. Alanta is no different from any other city.
Stephanie Woodruff absolutely agree
I used to work in an office on Fulton Industrial Boulevard. Adamsville is nearby. That neighborhood is crazy.
He says Adamsville is close to downtown. That's BS. It's not. It's at the edge of town on the Westside. Just outside the Perimeter and ends at the F.I.B. area.
Indeed. Adamsville is on the outskirts of Atlanta proper.
Yep. Several strip clubs on that street. Prostitution, crime, blight.
Fulton industrial is crazy man a lot of prostitution
Yea prostitutes everywhere on Fulton
Atlanta is closed!! 😂😂 its too many people! It’s the summertime and still too much traffic!!
I visited Atlanta Georgia, I thought it was beautiful, clean no graffiti air was clean. I fell in love with Atlanta
Yol Su dude your delusional look up the air quality in Atlanta
Because you visited you were probably in an insanely expensive place to live in like buck head midtown downtown etc
no graffiti? you sure?
You must have been in downtown got up west Atlanta it’s a different story
As a whole I like Atlanta too, but I don't know about your claims here. Air quality and no graffiti, seems a little off
This video is a joke. One word, GENTRIFICATION. Bankhead is a Highway
Gentrification happening all over.
Bankhead is actually on the map but it doesn't matter. The moral of the story is that place is a shithole
Damn no Cleveland ave?
Yung Shad Beatz isn't that part of Pittsburgh area?!
Kitty Franko Adair and Pittsburgh nearby
I was just finna say this
Kitty Franko no you fucks
Cleveland ave is not a neighborhood. It's just a major road in south Atlanta
How did English Ave and Vine City miss the cut?
Dodecanomicon I grew up in Clayton and I've only herd of like 4 of theses places. West end bankhead Adamsville and machinicsville the others he named I was thinking to myself never heard of it.
Ryan Haynes I have heard and been to all of these places in Atlanta
Because white people go on hearsay instead of actually being there.
...because he’s full of sh*t.
Because Vine City and English ave are being gentrified.
My ex lived in Pittsburgh. You'd have a home that was gentrified, then next door there were homeless people living in a structure that was abandoned. I never felt safe there.
What about The Bluffs??? Obviously this guy isn’t from ATL
Jeje!!
um duh why would he claim atl and he does videos about all the cities. and the bluff is soft. i smacked a couple dudes out there a few years bk.
mark brooks yah ok lmao 😂
Pakistan
@@bigsouth010 stop lying bro
So how does someone who lives in Oregon make a video about Atlanta? Did he ever visit these palaces personally? I lived in Atlanta for 18 years and it seems to me some of the places he showed were outdated photos. To me Atlanta is like any other major city. It has it good and bad parts
Kantrice Dorsey right!!
it's a video based on the bad neighborhoods
Ivory towers and dog whistle racism
he's using stats and old photos he Google from years ago
oregon is better
this video is awful. you put cascade heights on here because of cost like that’s really a reason to be in a top 10 worst neighborhood list lmao. you then used clips from other people’s videos. you used outdated google maps images from several years ago. West End & Adair Park worst neighborhoods? those neighborhoods have houses that sell for over $400k as well as having a transit station, the beltline, etc. you mentioned bankhead but showed a video clip from the bankhead courts projects which were not in the bankhead neighborhood and that have been demolished for about 10 years now. you then left out neighborhoods such as english avenue, lakewood heights, that could’ve actually had a place on this terrible list. the hyperbolic language that you used in this video is laughable. have you ever been to any of these places or are you just reading stats off a random website?
nice summary- guy is a nitwit
Isaac x Bottom line he's fraud putting out false information.
Thakyou for an intelligent analysis.... Being from Atlanta and dealing with the ratchet mentality that justifies mediocrity.... And being proud of it is disheartening, but its refreshing to see a young brother as yourself be able to articulate an argument on what was shown intelligently.
Here's a fun fact.... I doubt this guy has spent more than 1 hour in any of these places in Atlanta. I wonder how smart he thinks he sounds 😂😂😂
Actually 2 1/2 years in the 90's and all of 2013 in downtown. I also visit every couple years. Don't really care how smart I sound. How smart I am is another subject.
True but do you live in our participate in anything that involves these communities ??? Do you know what it takes to actually live day to day in these environments ??? Doubtful but who knows. All I know is besides the fun facts that aren't fun at all. This all comes off highly White biased
Doesnt it blow your mind that he has probably never even been to GA yet made a video that is completely 100 percent on the money accurate?! It blows mine too!
@@GRMG4L It doesn't matter how hard it is, it sucks that's it. Poverty is never an excuse for crime.
@@billygraham9267 crime is the outcome of systematic poverty , lack of response , lack of leadership and a bunch of other things that are used to continue to allow poverty to be an American reality
Even though they have had the most dangerous neighborhoods, The reason why big cities like Chicago, LA, Miami, Houston haven’t showed up on most dangerous lists is because, unlike small cities where non violent civilians drive from the suburbs to work,,... big cities have a bunch of non violent civilians living by their jobs downtown and compensate for the numbers of violent neighborhoods on other sides of town. But if they counted the numbers of just the bad sides of big cities by themselves, they’d beat most of the small cities out that just don’t have any normal workers living downtown like big cities do, to compensate for the numbers (which websites don’t do that count, except most dangerous neighborhoods lists relate to what I’m saying)
West End is being gentrified Do a video on that!
Right
I live there half of it safe but once you cross Abernathy it can get a bit violent especially at noght
I’m only 13 and I see That everyday
harry brerwster black peoples love the word GENTRIFICATION
Why didn't Eastlake, Kirkwood, Ormwood Park, East Atlanta, and City of Decatur make the list? They are overpriced as hell. Pbly bc he saw how many well off people live in the areas now. Which makes me question the research & sources you used to put this bullshit list together.
dana williams facts
DICK LONG exactly because Pittsburg isn’t dangerous at all
@@jjrr330jj Pittsburgh definitely is dangerous compared to the average neighborhood in the US.
PROJECT REVIVAL there’s two pittsburgs in atlanta
westside is the bestside lol
For Bank Head your video shows what use to be Bank Head Courts projects which has been closed for many many years now.
If they can get a developer to invest it is some Prime real estate plus the Blue Flame is on the other side and everyone loves the Flame 😁😁
Blue Flames is a Gentleman's Entertainment Club for those who don't know.
Philo Grant right Bowen Holmes and many projects doesn’t even exist
You are from Atl mos def
Blue Flame...classic Atlanta there.
Fun fact: high crime rates for the residents who live there is not “fun”
I used to work near Bankhead doing night-shift security. I remember there were 2 apartment complexes on hils, separated by the place where I worked. Weekend nights I'd just sit at my station and listen to the random shots being exchanged between those apartments complexes (they were home to two different gangs that didn't like each other)
It's all crap, born and raised here, gone in two yr when wife retires. Crime and traffic.
Lol how did college park miss the list?
CPK IS NOT IN ATL, DUMBASS.
A.J. Duane nah they're literally two different cities always has been
A.J. Duane they're literally two different places, they have two separate: mayors, police, City council's, land boundaries xcetera.
A.J. Duane I'm from Atlanta and I lived in College Park both corporated and unincorporated areas of it.
A.J. Duane College Park is not even connected to the city of Atlanta, there's another city in between those Two Cities
The Atlanta Beltline is getting ready to pass through Bankhead, and the city is turning the rock quarry area into a park that will be larger than Piedmont park. In a the next 10 years, this neighborhood is going to be a very desirable place to live. This is the reason why he reported that some businesses are moving into the area now. If I had the money, I'd buy land on the cheap and wait for a developer to contact me......
I got Moneys!!!!!
Damn bigger than piedmont?
Patrick Murphy correct .
Yep, my sister lives there. There are already a lot of hipster bars open already(she works in one) and you could hit the rice street jail with a golf ball from her house.
Beltline is already in west end although when I was there a couple of weekends ago a woman was definitely relieving herself in the park. I mean Pittsburgh, westend and Mechanicsville are likely to be gentrified in the next 10-15 years.
"Downtown" is not "Midtown" just FYI
why are y'all so proud of being even more worse than it is now?? then saying u miss old Atlanta, are you a psychopath??? buddy is accurate and he missed a lot of towns. I'm a Grady baby and been here my whole life but Atlanta got it bad and idc what the next city got going on
When he said having windows in your home in the Bankhead area of Atlanta is OPTIONAL I nearly fell off my bed. Lmao
Shena Azmera LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, but the food in West End is poppin.
Mo Mohamed last of our ancestry culture along with Ashby area. Both have all black culture elements yet both are still the most dirtiest and roads still fucked up since I was in Grady Hospital coming into this world.
All of the best food comes from the hood.

Abidemi Agboola exactly what I was referring to
Mo Mohamed
Raw Wraps (Tassili)... Vegan Pizza (Soul Veg)... Rasta Spot in the West African Plaza 😉
How did the Bluff miss the cut?
i guess it counts as bankhead but the real bluff is Vine City/English Avenue neighborhood
He probably mixed it with Oakland City and Vine City.
Thats what i was thinking
Grayson Sullens because this lame ass dude not from Atlanta
Pittsburgh is the Bluff
Pretty much the only neighborhoods that are safe in Atlanta are insanely expensive
Tyler Fuller cuz of gentrification
Cascade heights really don’t be have nun goin on
Love my city Atlanta Hollywood court born n raised Bankhead the whole westside
My former church is on Bankhead Highway.
If you avoid the bad parts as with any major city, Atlanta is pretty awesome, nice vid.
Heidi Marchant I agree, its a very nice place to raise a family overall in my opinion
Facts ATL is great
I'm from Bankhead
yes it is i have been staying here for years love it...

I have been living ing in ATL for 16 years and this list is so inaccurate. I have been in all of these neighborhoods. Obviously he has only done research online.
POLLEN COUNT POLLEN COUNT POLLEN COUNT
This dude is soooooo wrong wherever he got his info from he is sadly mistaken
I'm from Savannah but I lived in the A 15 years. For one, there is no Bankhead anymore. I lived in the West End 3 years. I moved to Dunwoody to be closer to my work. I hated to leave the West End and stayed on the southbound train going back 'to visit.' I still love the West End as all of southwest ATL, aka the SWATs. These were the most amazing and memorable people I ever met. When I go back to visit I always go to the West End first. Mechanicsville is not far. I never ever had a problem and don't know of anyone who did. These were all amazing and REAL people. I picked up my love and study of Africa from two parts of Atlanta, Bankhead and Ashby. Ashby Street taught me Sierra Leone. Bankhead taught me Uganda. I speak the languages of both of these and more. It was never the neighborhood, how poor or rich they are for me. It was always folk in these 'hoods' that made moving to Atlanta one of the best things I ever did for myself. weebale nnyo, ssebo. okukwagala. L

Oh I see. He is trying to sell security systems....
You're confused. I mention I have a security system and I left a link to be a nice guy. I don't make anything off that.

MaeSekou its better then going to Chicago
I died when he said downtown only thing that happens down there is purse snatching that's it he really didn't name no hoods for real
I deliver mail in Mechanicsville and from my understanding the neighborhood is getting better (gentrification)...matter of fact, that last picture you showed of that apartment has been completely renovated
Nearly all the locals in Mechanicsville got pushed out...was a ghost town for numerous years.
The good part is you can get the best weed in any of these neighborhoods!
Yeah
You cannot rent a crack house in Atlanta for under $1000 a month. I’m not sure where you’re getting your rental information from but I live 70 miles outside of Atlanta and a four bedroom mobile home rents for $1000 a month in Jasper.
Nice video, but keep in mind that Pittsburgh and Adair park are part of a multimillion dollar redevelopment zone. Right now there some of the hottest realestate in the city for investors and flippers. In about a 2 years this video won't be relevant.
I could see that in Pittsburgh but Adair Park has a long way to go.
World According To Briggs the city just announce they secured deeds for the southeast trail of the belt line which cuts right through this neighborhood. If you check realtor.com house on the market are being snatched up. I live a few neighborhoods over and the equity in my house has skyrocketed in the past 3 years.
Also, the stadium redevelopment is causing values in Pittsburgh and Mechanicsville to increase rapidly (like doubled in the past year) fueled by speculative buying. Adair Park is right on the beltline and its been rapidly increasing in value for the last couple of years. That would be the place to make money if you were the "urban pioneer" type or a flipper. There is a core of nice redone homes but it gets sketchy the further you get from there. Crime has always been a problem there
It’s already not relevant. The two houses in his stock photo are already rehabbed. Adair Park is a strong neighborhood with a strong association that is active in the neighborhood. Google Bearings Bike Shop, a neighbor set that up and less advantaged kids spend their days there fixing bikes they get to keep instead of being exposed to the streets. This blogger needs to get the fuck out with his racist bs.
What are you talking about- have you ever been to the city? Are you this much of an expert on all of the cities you do videos on?
Where in Atlanta is rent $800???? Tell me!
Ebony Davis The Hoods or outskirts
You can't rent shit in Atlanta for no $800 per month but a room or a studio apt.
No where
Ebony Davis I lived in a gated apartment complex off Flat Shoals it was 825 for a two bedrooom, washer dryer and pool
TheGirlLikesMovies I was just about to say that area lol
Riverdale/ College park
Right and it's still bad out here
It's just in the city limits.
I mean it ain’t that bad rn, we have the airport.
Riverdale is semi-fine
Rent downtown $2k now on average
West End was a decent area back in the 1970s. Stopping insulting.
Many of these neighborhoods have been renewed now. #RenewAtlanta
No bouldercrest????
Whereyahidin said da same thang
It's mostly boarded up now
I'm an Atlanta native and grew up in the Bankhead area. The apartments we lived in are actually shown in this video. Back in the 60s and 70s when I was growing up there, it was poor and working class, but still active with people, stores, schools and churches. It wasn't that bad. It's sad to see what's happened to it.
Gerry Thrash Bowen homes/bankhead courts were torn down....the area has been gentrified a lot in the last 5 years. Bottomed out in the late 90s/early 00s.
Atlanta = Cleveland Ave, Bankhead, Mechanicsville
SW Atlanta = Old National Hwy, Washington Rd
Somebody on Washington rd Atlanta ga shoot up the apartment
All of Atlanta was hood back in the day especially fourth ward, Decatur, midtown and summer hill, and boulevard
I used to live a couple blocks away from Ponce in the 90's...man have I seen some things. I hear it's all bougie now.
This guy isn't saying what crime rate these stats are related to such as weed possession and other petty crimes. Besides, it's funny he left out CABBAGE TOWN!
I walked to school at Georgia State University for years, which is in the MIDDLE of downtown Atlanta. I did get the occasional sex or drugs offer though, which I kindly declined without one incident. Cabbies even gave me a free ride to school, a lot!, especially when it was raining, gotta love Southern hospitality.
moonlighter6 I wonder why🤔
Gosh, I'm surprised ya didn't mention far end Snellville up 124 near Lithonia. That area has become a shithole over the last 15 years. Which is pretty sad because with a couple of strict HOAs, it would help by getting people to keep their properties. But because of the lack of discipline to maintain a nice & healthy looking home, you'll find most houses there with the yard trashed, you'll have broken down vehicles in the road or driveway.
yes... and that is the problem too.. the class level is so disproportionate here...too many low class poverty stricken people here..not enough educated middle class people..that is the systemic problem here..
Good video. I enjoyed your fun facts. May I suggest you add a map view of where these neighborhoods are. I would be helpful for those visual types. Thanks.
Dont forget about East Point and College Park.
Without Vine City, English avenue (aka the Bluff) & East Atlanta this video is incredibly inaccurate
No Gucci mane or waka flocka areas... definitely inaccurate
Yeah if they are still “bad” neighborhoods they won’t be in twenty years as long as rich white filks keep moving to the trendy cities. I bought my house in Atlant in the late 90s for under 100 k and I thought that was expensive condos are now selling in the same hood from the low 400s. I miss Atlanta dearly but I can never afford to move back now
He name everything in west Atlanta
spirit rush lol Factz and south atlanta, no east Atlanta
Omg i just realized thatt!!!
Me watching a video about the most dangerous neighborhoods in atlanta while living in oakland city
I'm a Canadian tourist and I got an airbnb in the district of Pittsburgh, this is my 1st night there and I get assaulted.
Did the guy say he lives in Oregon??? I love West End and live in Oakland City. Never had a break in or a as much as a package stolen. WTF is this dude talking about????
I live in Oregon right now. I am glad to hear you have never had a break in or a package stolen. The thing is, stats and numbers don't lie.
Candace Garcia never say never
I was born and raised in Oakland City, Spent over 30 years in Oakland city...Oakland city and the bluff has the two highest crime rates in all of Atlanta. My house was the one represented for Oakland city. Ragsdale elementry, Sylvan hills middle, and Booker T Washington (and Tri-Cities). I promise you that if you decide to live in Oakland City long enough you will see what really goes on there.

I have never been to Atlanta, But I watched a movie called (Snow on tha Bluff) . It was shot in a neighborhood called "The Bluff". At a small housing project on James P Brawley Dr. in Vine City. It looked like a pretty bad area for crime. I was just wondering You didn't mention that Area.
Briggs is a goof. He’s probably never been to Atlanta and it’s not even bad here
Wait a minute don't tell me you went to google to find out about this😂😂😂 come to Atlanta frfr .
You have never been here bro
Yes he has!
The video you show of Downtown is driving through Midtown. Big differences.
Wow , @ 1:53 is my grandmothers old house . She passed away in 2000 , but it was built by my great great grand father Robert Wilson . He was a slave from Macon , Ga. that bought his freedom and came to Atlanta and built that house . It originally came with that entire block . My grandmother was born in it , as well as my dad and uncles. A lot of fond memories on that porch . It was demolished a couple of years ago though .
it's zone6 chill out
I have lived in Metro Atlanta my whole life and I am 70 years old. All of Atlanta is a cesspool. I'm leaving.
I remember visiting Atlanta from the UK and ended up one late night going to a house party in bankhead I thought they said buckhead.. friendly people though tbh
This dude showed chappel forest 🌳 for Bankhead lol
Yep
Dude, you've never lived here, and I'm sure you've never visited any of these areas to even know what you're talking about. Some of these are completely inaccurate, and some shouldn't be on here at all. I live in Cascade Heights. Yes, the prices are high for homes, but that's because of the value of the area. But what about Buckhead? That's technically a bad place to live by your logic. Terrible potholes that never get fixed; crimes (non-violent and violent) are normal; rent, mortgages, and gas prices are fucking ridiculous... You can't just be considering bad neighborhoods based on just crime or cost of living alone, and there are other areas that could be on this list... Your uninformed opinion was very much unneeded.
He only added the black neighborhoods. I've lived in overpriced Buckhead, awful traffic and high priced.
lol.
I think he just based everything off numbers and statistics. But thanks for your input. I can’t decide wether to move to Atlanta or not.
he most like got his stats from the police department...they can tell you that information ...
Putting Cascade Heights on this list is particularly offensive. This is the home of the Black upper-middle class with beautiful well-kept houses and manicured lawns. The lack of major shopping is a direct result of redlining, a practice where White businesses refuse to locate in majority-Black neighborhoods regardless of the income of the residents. These people are victims of racism and your depiction of the neighborhood in such a pejorative way only magnifies this practice and is in itself an act of racism. I do not live in the area but my first visit here Easter weekend of 1984 made me change my already set plans to move from NYC to Berkely California to attend Berkely Law School to move to Atlanta to attend Emory Law School. Easter morning 1984 I stumbled into this neighborhood accidentally and I saw an affluent Black middle-class neighborhood for the first time. I have visited the area in the past year and it has not changed substantially. Your failure to include the social-cultural issues plaguing neighborhoods like this is shameful. You sir are a central case example of a modern racist.
