The way all the camps made a mega alliance was so wholesome, giving me faith in humanity’s general desire for collaboration/community over destruction…hopefully The “we did our jobs too good” thing made me laugh
I was just re-watching some of the older Drachenfest videos and it's interesting to hear about the rooster story from your perspective. I read the article and there was no mention of homophobia to be found, the article was very funny though😂 also your dress this year was very pretty.
The time you get up for most larps is such a culture shock to me omg 😂 I’m not normally a morning person, but I wake up at like 6-7 because makeup/garb takes me like 1-2hours, and I live in SoCal so 8-11 is the only time in the morning (during May till mid-October) that’s liveable so I get all my day economy-business-running around sidequest stuff done then if I can, do social RP in the shade and don’t move for like 12-4, then play around again 😂 (I also always choose morning NPC shift for the same reason, beat the devil sun while not missing important evening things)
It’s interesting to hear just how differently everyone retells the stories. Really puts it into perspective how much you can do at DF US and still not get around to nearly everything. Even running around endlessly to collect gossip for the Nest, I didn’t know most of the political things you were talking about😭 Overall it’s pretty accurate to the experience. A lot of sneaking around and infinite interactions and plots to be had. Can’t wait for june 🖤

All of this sounds so incredibly amazing ❤❤ as somwonw whos nwver had the chance to LARP but absolutely adores rokeplay and charscter creation, Drachenfest US sounds wonderful!! Im moving to PA soon, so im hoping ill be able to attend in the upcoming years.
Drachenfest US sounds like such a marvelous experience! And I believe it was their first event last year, wasn't it? I am looking forward to be able to experience it in person, and in the best of cases to play alongside you, Raquel!
Im trying to imagine the poor guy living downstairs at 4:30 in the morning as you're banging on the arms of your chair "THAT WAS OUR DRACHENFEST!!" oh wait i know that guy 😂

Are dogs allowed? I have an emotional support Husky. But she is NOT a service dog. Just very well trained and up to date on all her Vet stuff. She will be spayed and healed by June 2024 as well. I have some leather armor I found for her(dog) that I want to buy, unless my crafting skills are better than I am thinking they will be. If she can go to any of these places that is.
At the final battle, the three way alliance between red, green, and silver was still in effect. The agreement was that the alliance would fight together until blue and shadow were taken out, then fight for the win. In reality, everyone just sat there while red took out blue and shadow single handedly. We even stopped fighting for a minute in the middle there, just defending the line, so green could jump in. When they refused to join the fight, the red avatar shouted that everyone in green and silver must be cowards, and we went back to the fight. Red was super pissed off by the end of that struggle, and I think someone from green blamed silver for the betrayal, and red proceeded to trounce silver. The Red Second led a battle cry of "they will tarnish!" Thinking we had been betrayed by them. Green said they would let us have a breather after defeating silver, but they attacked us immediately after the silver avatar was escorted off the field. We were even more pissed off, but really fucking tired, after defeating three entire camps on our own. Green won the battle. Green were the oathbreakers, and history should remember them as such! 💔💀🤣
Omg this is interesting context!!! Because all I heard on the field was that because we were small only a small portion was asked to go into the red offensive. Even in the video you can see sir Tristrum! Silver mostly had healers and mages compared to fighters and we had a gollum we were saving for the end! So we just thought we would wait till red and green wanted the "fair fight!!!! Damn. Green do be oath breakers.
@@RaquelSkellington That makes sense, they had a different narrative for red and silver. Gotta say, it was a pretty masterful manipulation of all sides that resulted in their victory in battle. Devious and effective! 😂 Or maybe everyone was just confused lol
