This is insane! As a lone freelancer the ability to do things procedurally and get good results would be such a huge thing to me! I NEED to learn houdini!

Awesome video! I definitely wanna hire a Houdini veteran one day. Such a valuable role for making games. Thx for the inspiration!

I would say at least basics, once you know how to access the information it's pretty simple.

the voronoifrtacture + polyextrduer has a different result on my screen, so does the extrusion goes along with the face normal?? then the division of each piece of a fractured extrusion does not make sense to me, it should be a ball instead have caved edges like yours...?? But thanks for showing us this!!

    • @globglob3d

Actually using face normals will produce the results seen on the video, but extruding using split normal (you can think of them as interpolated face normal sitting on vertices) will make a sphere (with duplicated vertices). there is an option in your polyextrude to extrude faces individually. So instead of using the split normals it will use the face normals and extrude each element individually.

Just draw the line... but you never show us how the line gets into houdini. This is a nice overview but it doesnt contain the detail to learn how to do things
