Growing up we had presentations throughout December under the tree. Because big presents were from family and the toys / candies in our stockings were from Santa.
In sweden usually santa (a family member dressed as santa) comes with the presents or comes to hand out the presents from under the tree to each member of the family. The one who goes and dresses up as santa usually tells the kids he's going to buy the newspaper
For me and my siblings growing up, presents from our parents were already under the tree and when we woke up on Christmas day everything from Santa was under the tree with our gifts from them.
When I was growing up we had presents there all year and the our Santa gifts were like extra gifts the next morning and we only had one of those and they were normally like a book , a puzzle and clothes and our big gifts like bikes and technology was from our parents.
My family used to do that, where presents were there when we woke up, with a display of some that weren't wrapped. Now we just put them under the tree wrapped beforehand.
but seriously i relate to the whole lack of xmas spirit thing, like im literally only two and a half days away from xmas and i still haven't gotten excited for it
I laughed when you said you’re listening to HOEAB. I basically decided to ignore my totally manageable end of the year TBR for the rereads before January 30th.
Destiny, when you said why am I always tired I just found out upon research that obstructive sleep apnea can be the reason for it.. AND it can cause the symptoms of adhd, anxiety, depression, stomach issues, memory problems and a whole bunch of other things. Look it up! I’m kind of freaking out about this now bc my whole life I’ve never felt energized waking up. & your chances for having this are higher if you have large tonsils or a deviated septum… which my septum is SO bad & I got my tonsils out at 17 but then broke my nose twice in the following three years… so I fully could’ve had this my entire life & it could be the reason for all my problems. Just wanted to share bc I never knew about this & it’s kinda crazy when u look into it
