Got one this weekend and got to shoot Monday. What an amazing pistol; I was pleasantly shocked at how accurate I could shoot with it. The trigger is incredible, shoots very well with little recoil. I’ve shot and owned different SA guns, this and my Garrison 1911 are the best I’ve ever shot. The mod 3 is the first handgun I can shoot as good as with my 1911, which is exactly what I’ve been looking for; didn’t want to go 2011. So for me, complete win as well. $300, 16+1, accurate as my 1911, safety like a 1911 much more piece of mind for appendix carry, easy to clean and lighter than any 2011 I’ve checked out. Get one, you won’t regret it. Thanks for the video!
Nice video. Being a member of the Croatian brotherhood of the XD... I love my mod 3. Mags from the XD mod 2 sub compact - 16 rounder with spacer, just get rid of the spacer/sleeve and it will fit without a problem. Happy shooting.
I shot a rental XD way back around 2005 and fell in love immediately. Literally could not miss all the way out to 30 yards, tight groups, super easy to set and keep the sight picture.
I'm old enough to remember people in the gun community really digging the HS2000 pistols and one of the key selling points was the $300 price tag, then Springfield got the import rights, changed the name to XD, and stuck a $500-$600 price tag on them and suddenly people hated them. Now over 20 years later they start selling the things again this time with the $300 price tag they loved, a new skin and some upgrades and people are still pissy. lol For a new gun owner not looking to carry but instead learn to shoot and defend their family, $300 for a reliable pistol and $200ish for a case of 9mm is a great deal.
I dunno, I got an XD40 in 2008 for like $380. It was $100 cheaper than a Glock 22 at the time, and it runs better than one too. My brother has a G22 around the same age and it has failures to feed with just a little bit of limp wristing. I can one handed limp wrist the XD with no issues with the same ammo. I had to jerk it backward when I fired to cause a failure to feed
@@jarrodm9010 Wow so true. I bought my XD40 4 inch Service model 21 years ago. I can’t make that gun malfunction even when limp wristing. I also bought 3 Glocks around the same time. Never had limp wristing problems with them until recently. I’m age 69, my wrists are weaker, and I’m having limp wristing problem malfunctions with all 3 of them. When I let other shooters at my range shoot my 3 Glocks, no problems. I think I’m not locking my wrists down with my 3 Glocks.
@gracedagostino5231 same, my little brother is a union pipe fitter and significantly stronger than I am. The Glock runs great for him. I think the XD series gets more internet hate than it deserves. Mine were reliable as anvils. My XDS is sitting at just under 9,000 rounds. I'd absolutely carry it again if I had to...
My nightstand gun is the XD40 4 inch Service Model purchased 21 years ago. I just recently installed Trijjicon HD Night/Fiber Sights on it. As for the internet hate, the XD also has many internet fans.
Another great video, and the XD line is a great value! It would be a challenge to find another service-sized firearm of comparable quality and features sub $500. There are a lot of sub $500 guns out there, but they are not going to have the ergonomics, trigger, steel mags, serrations, optics cut, safety features, ambi-mag release, fiber optic sight, and extreme reliability.
I got my XD mod 1 with a hard plastic carrying case and 3 mags as well as a OWB holster and magazine holder in a gear up package. Best $500 i ever spent.
@baconlover9125 This is going to sound a little silly but, one of the things that I miss about the original XDs, is the large beefy case with the foam cutout for the gun inside! It is better to save money with the carboard boxes, but the presentation with the better quality case really made the gun look special.
I have been waiting for you to review this firearm. I knew you wouldn't be able to resist. Excellent price, and if it has mag compatibility with the Mod.2 it will be an even bigger seller. I got away from the Mod.2 a while ago because the Hellcat has a better round count for its size. Still this is a good deal. The unbranded "Grip Zone" gives it class. One of the best stock grips out there for the size. If Springfield had brought this one out as the Mod.2 it would have been a much better seller, and there would be fewer haters in the world. I bet if it sells well, they will chamber it in 45ACP. The slide looks to have some Hellcat DNA.
I scooped this up last week. Great ergonomics, and shoots amazingly. Only thing i have an issue with is the mag release is stiff af.. Hoping it'll get better after more shooting. For 299 i think the trigger you get with this is not too bad at all. 250 rounds in so far..
I never understood why people freak out about XD's being made in Croatia. So what? HS Produkt makes fantastic guns at a great price. They are just uninformed.

@spnfirearms one more question, first off I'd like to say love you channel always great content, there's a CZ P-10s I can also get brand new for 350, I know you say you love your CZ P-10s, how's the recoil compared to the CZ P10c and the Springfield mod3, sorry I have so many questions, yet my wife is going to be sharing this gun, I was wanting something not so snappy for her, she had the Taurus GX4 and it was too snappy for her, so I figured I'd get her something a little heavier that she can shot flat, again thanks for your time, I appreciate you and your channel
