Mozanbique before the death of president Samora Machel ,had a total of 46 attack fighter jets consisting of migs 17(12& a mixture of migs 21&23) Helicopters a huge numbers of them from attack to cargo carriers ...cargo military planes were 8 .....navy I don't have info about ....only the Mozambican officials can elaborate were those assets ended up ....today Mozambique mighty defence force that defeated Rhodesia Ian Smith's well armed force it's a shadow of its former self .....in the southern Africa region Mozambique defence force was a force to reckoned with.....today it's a total shame ....shame to the core ....no discipline,no modern arms,no artillery pieces,no modern tanks,no capable commanders with new tactically warfare knowledge everything was destroyed by corrupt elements in charge of that government.......
