I think that having a platonic best friend is a lot better than having a romantic partner or spouse is. Having someone who's like a sibling to you is a lot better than having a romantic partner or spouse. Also, you are more likely to be much more closer to someone who's like a brother or sister to you than you would be with a romantic partner or spouse. People tend to fight with their partner or spouse a lot more than they do with a platonic best friend, and you never fight with your best friend the way you fight with your partner or spouse. Partners and spouses are just temporary. If you break up or divorce them, it's hard to go back to them. With your platonic best friend, you're going to make things work, because they are your best friend, they are your go to partner. It's always easier to make amends with them than it is with a romantic partner or spouse. Romantic relationships are pointless, while platonic relationships are not.

two of my favorite storylines of nathan and haley’s (our of a lot) was when they went to therapy to work on their relationship in season 5 and when haley suffers from depression in season 7 and nathan has to figure out how to help her through it. of all the crazy wacky storylines they were given, i love those the most because it represents them struggling through a real relationship.
I love those storylines. While season 5 was painful to watch, the therapy episode strengthened their relationship SO MUCH and made their love stronger. Also, season 5 showed the realism in marriage because Nathan being in the wheelchair was a huge obstacle that they dealt with as a family. I also felt so bad for haley in season 7, but I loved seeing Nathan save her physically and emotionally during the time.
i loved brucas. leyton just didn’t give me as much chemistry as brooke and lucas did. they had their cute moments but to me they were boring and i’ve watched the show through like 3-4 times and i still wished for brooke and lucas. to me seasons 2 and 3 were their prime and the writers made it seem like they were gonna end up together which i wish they didn’t do if that wasn’t gonna happen. obviously lucas cheating is not what i liked but the had the best scenes apart from naley. just my opinion 🤷🏻♀️

Brooke & Lucas were so toxic because he never really put her first and all the times he cheated. Which also made Leyton toxic. And by the tme they got together for good it was getting old and so played out I didn't even care anymore, no matter how adorable they were in s6.
One thing that annoys me about Lucas and Brooke is how Lucas said so many things to her that made everyone think they were meant to be and then they broke up again. like the girl behind the red door, the rain kiss, when he went up to her at the beach and said he was the one for her and just idk yes there were cute things about them but I expected Lucas and Peyton’s to blow theirs out of the water and I guess it did in a way lol. I love Leyton but their relationship was way overdue.

NightRises234 I didn't see that. Yeah they had their ups and downs and there were heartbreaks here and there, but like they say, LOVE CONQUERS ALL. And at the end of the day, everyone lived happily ever after. To me they were my favorite. One of my favorite TV show couples of all time along with Cory and Topanga. Sorry but my opinion won't change. So to each its own. 🤷

I'm probably gonna start a war with this, but Brucas shouldn't have been on this list. There's nothing cute about cheating and treating your girlfriend like crap 80% of the time. Same goes for Leyton tbh, going back and forth like that, cheating multiple times with each other when they were with other people. That's not cute, just annoying. Jeyton should've been endgame. Only time I actually liked Peyton was when she was with Jake.

Brooke & Lucas were so toxic because he never really put her first and all the times he cheated. Which also made Leyton toxic. They only wanted each other when they were with other people, and that is just messed up. Lucas could never make up his mind which pissed me off tbh. He treated his girls horribly, even Peyton, who supposedly was his soulmate. And by the tme they got together for good it was getting old and so played out I didn't even care anymore, no matter how adorable they were in s6.

One thing that annoys me about Lucas and Brooke is how Lucas said so many things to her that made everyone think they were meant to be and then they broke up again. like the girl behind the red door, the rain kiss, when he went up to her at the beach and said he was the one for her and just idk yes there were cute things about them but I expected Lucas and Peyton’s to blow theirs out of the water and I guess it did in a way lol. I love Leyton but their relationship was way overdue.

I don't think people would like them thinking they were a healthy pair considering all they went through.
Most of the couples were problematic at times and had their issues even Haley and Nathan who were at no.1 because they are viewed by many as a healthier pairing compared to Brucas and definitely Leyton.
People like whomever just because they connect to the couple more and believe in the chemistry.
