That riot is gonna be a baf and that monster venom body mood is a bulky big one, so I wouldn’t be expecting a difference if I where you (But there’s still a chance) I’ve only heard that riot is gonna be a baf from some random guy in a stream so don’t take that for granted.
@@MCUcollector24 The cardboard tray taking up all that space and the figure always being positioned at the center could also affect the BAF. With the old plastic tray, there was a ton of empty space to use and sometimes they could move the figure to a different spot. They're the professionals, so they've probably thought this through.

It's not the "dumbell" neck that's the problem. The issue is that they put the ball far inside the neck. If they did it correctly it would move as well as with a disc-hinge while also having good side to side.
I prefer the smaller eyes and smaller spider logo, but can’t deny the newer model is an overall improvement. Can’t wait to get mine, but still got love for my retro Spidey!
This is the reason why these new boxes sucks you never know what's it going to look like then you have to return it constantly if it's something messed up
I'm not a fan of the Retro Spidey body (it's too muscular and I hate the dumbbell neck), but the upgrades this figure makes in terms of the colors, the headsculpt (both the size and the eye shape) and being pinless really sell it for me.
@@bryonmclendon6928 In the RYV comics themselves, Peter isn't physically different from 616 Peter. That's even one of the reasons why this figure was released like this, so collectors can pass it off as 616 Peter.
I am a big fan of the RYV versions of them and wish that was how the 616 timeline went (for them and their daughter anyways) and can't wait to get my set! I am genuinely surprised just how much the toe articulation adds to the posing, as I hardly use it on my import figures. Not all figures need it, but do hope to see future Daredevils and maybe even Cap or Wolverine figures utilize it.
My big problem with it is that you’re spending 28 bucks on a figure that should be no more than 26 maximum (the price for the future foundations Spider-Man is absolutely absurd). I guess I’m a hypocrite because I’ve preordered the venom/Knull two pack, but they’re worth it to me. I only care about Spider-Man so I’m not going to spend 56 dollars for a single Spider-Man figure. There will always be more Spider-Man figures in the future so I can wait. If this gets a single release, I’d be thrilled.
With this new 2 pack Spider-Man you could make a few modifications: reduce the front and back spider symbols and paint the arms and legs from dark blue to a lighter color. Then it would be the perfect Earth-616 Spider-Man figure.

Yeah I live in the UK and was surprised to get this early last week. I was never the biggest fan of the retro Spider-Man but this one was a huge improvement, personally I wish the blue was brighter and I prefer smaller eyes, but for what it is it's a great figure. The QC on my Spinneret wasn't great, she had two left fists and no right fists, the paint on the shoulders chipped super easily when posing and there was some slight warpage to the legs. Overall those factors made it hard for me to enjoy the figure, but I love the new paint on the Mary Jane head. I liked the original but to me the new one looks more life-like, the hair on the original I think is better but the flat red does work for the art it's based on.
Those peg holes in Spinneret's back look terrible. Pretty sure Shriek only had one. I'd have to fill them in and give her hair a darker wash to make it stand out from the red of the mask. Even the new Shriek mould needs and ab crunch. Apart from my nighles with MJ they both look tops. Toe articulation really adds to the pose-ability. Some web effects ( the ones that fit on the face and shoulders) would make it better value. At least they both have decent hand options.
I’m so on the fence about getting this. It’s expensive and I really don’t want a spinneret figure. I would be thrilled with a single release of this guy. I’ve pretty much made up my mind that I won’t order it online, but I’ll probably snatch it up if I somehow find one in person
I get that the new packaging is better for the environment but the risk of a QC issue is too great. I'm not intending to buy another copy since I'm getting a bunch of packs. Hasbro needs to fix this.
I don’t understand how they can’t implement the same head joint they use with some figures like Black Panther Shuri from the vs Claw 2 pack? That figure can loot all the way up and all the way down.
That packaging is terrible. They are wrapped in paperbags, like really?? We are talking about a multi-billion dollar company bruh. This is going to be a nightmare for collectors, people are going to steal and swap the hell out of these figures, and you literally have no way of making sure you get what you are paying for. We are paying more and more for these collectibles, and the conpany is like, 'Hey here is a paper bag, take it. Is it the figure you are looking for? Who knows. Does it have clean paint? Who knows. Has it been opened before? Who knows. Are we going to reuse the same old body forever? Oh, You know we will. Is quality control getting better? Of course not. Are we charging more for them than before? Of course we are!'
That's why I stopped supporting hasblow. Price hike and little to none accessories. Reuse of old molds. I'm only collecting sh figuarts and neca figures. Cause atleast both of those companies care and listen to the fans.
You were lucky I bought two first one the spider logo was bad, second the head was bad and the lower part of the left chest was marble and bad painted, I gave up and accepted it so, and buy the way Mary Jane in my first package was terrible

That last pose and the mj figure just out of focus in the background sums it up for me 😅 it looks nice and really we done but that Spiderman looks so good. If we ever get that with all the hands and 2-3 head sculpts based on different comic artists, I'd happily pay deluxe prices 🤣

Appreciate you taking the time on articulation. Other people doing figure reviews tend to fly right through articulation and that makes it hard to really know the limits of the figure.
As much as I don’t like the new packaging, I don’t buy the argument that it’s going to lead to more QC issues. Especially considering so few of us buy these off the shelves now. If you preorder, it’s still a crap shoot on the paint apps. But the digital printing seems to be more consistent.
They can’t be sure what’s inside, but I will say that this is likely a final production sample which yeah probably is sent by the factory knowing it’s perfect.
Those figures looks amazing but I don't like how the Box looks cuz you don't even see the real figures inside when you have the display plastic thing on the box that is so ridiculous hope they don't do it with the three Spider-Mans
I tend to skip 2-packs when I only want 1 of the characters. I don't need Spinneret and I don't care about toe articulation or pinless joints. I'm happy with the retro Spidey I already have. It's just annoying that we seem to keep getting new Spidey body molds. Just get it right the first time lol
maybe if the price of the figures were lower, I could see how that could justify the free plastic package, but seeing how the prices will just keep going up, and hasbro's lack of qc, I think I might just cut my loses, and stop collecting after they release the retro apocalypse.
Only in Renew Your Vows comic does MJ has spider-powers. Renew Your Vows is a great comic. I would recommend it. We finally get a story about Peter and MJ married and have a daughter named Annie. Its essentially a middle finger to One More Day.

really take a good look at your review , you had to wait till you opened the figure before you decided if it was acceptable or not, what kind of crap is that.. you are now whats known as a blind box collector , you wait , one of these days you are open one of these blind boxes and you are going to pull out a potato .. have fun with that kid.. the only way we can fight this Hasbro bullshit is with our dollar , take it somewhere else..
