    Great information! I've been looking for a portable, reasonably priced audio interface (for quick and dirty recordings and for using a proper mic in meetings), and I foolishly did not realize that the Zoom H4n-which I already own!-has this capability.
    For others with an H4n who wish to using it as an I/F, make sure the sample rate on the H4n (default: 44.1 kHz) matches your computer's (Windows default is 48 kHz, "DVD Quality), or else you'll get nothing and have no obvious indication as to why.

    Hey man thank you so much for these videos!
    What would you suggest as anXLR interface for a travel Podcast where always two people are speaking.
    I was tjinking of the Sure SM7B XLR and then use a XLR. Do Ialso need a computer or is it possible on the go? Or maybe Laptop

      You're welcome! If you're going to be really mobile, I would suggest the Rodecaster Duo with those mics, or for even more portability the Zoom F3. Both can record directly to an SD card without the need for a computer! Here's our video on the Rodecaster Duo: th-cam.com/video/CMqGtgZFANU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=gg2PfrpxvMx2CT0j

      I use the MixPre-3 personally and love it. It's more compact and portable, just as powerful. BUT it's very hard to find and more expensive than usual due to supply/demand. So if you have to get something today, I'd say F6 - Stephen

    If Riverside is recommending interfaces like the Apollo Solo, which is a great interface, but I have never been able to use it on Riverside because you cannot do a Mix-Minus so it is somewhat unusable for remote guests with platforms like Riverside. Has anyone been able to set up a mix-Minus in the software for the apollo's?

    Voice Talent don't seem to know about the MixPre 3 II as an audio interface. Do you like them better than a BabyfacePro FS or Universal Audio Twin?

    • @Riversidefm
      @Riversidefm  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'm not familiar with the Babyface but I do prefer it over the Apollo Twin. The Apollo requires a significant amount of software and drivers, where the MixPre is plug-and-play. Plus you get 3 XLR inputs, record to SD card functionality, etc.

    please tell me, I am facing the choice of an audio interface. My tasks are: streaming with an xlr studio dynamic microphone, voiceover, and listening to music with good headphones for a bit. I am interested in the audio interface where the best output sound quality and stable software are best. The price is up to $ 200. I am considering options: focusrite 2i2 4 gen, universal audio volt2 (there is also interest in 276, but it costs $ 270 already) and motu m2. In terms of accessibility, this is focusrite, judging by the reviews and especially because of the vintage sound, this is volt 2, but there are also many people who prefer motu. Well, a small addition, I considered the arturia minifuse 2 and Audient id4 mkll options, but judging by the reviews and the videos I watched, they have good sound, but not the best like these 3 models. Can you tell me which of these models would be best in your opinion and why?

    • @Riversidefm
      @Riversidefm  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The Universal Volt 2 is a good choice, but would also require some utilities and software. I would recommend the Motu M2, I have it personally, sounds great, and works without any additional software!
