Sygic has the best screen effect. Also when I move out of town it's the best. The help on the side of the screen helps a lot. When I move around the city, Google Maps Database is the best. The waze is pretty good but it hasn't won yet.

Thanks for sharing your views. Each service is good at something. I would go with Sygic over the others.

Thank you for this comparison. Waze is good because it’s free but it drains the battery empty. I was using TomTom for years so Sygic is the best possible compensation. Too bad Sygic has no bike-roads.

I have overshot many lanes due to poor navigation from Waze. Imagine a road with 3 different lanes to different destinations, just saying "Keep Left" isn't helpful at all.

Tunnel in Marseille. We missed the correct turning three times, from different directions. When you are stressed and you don't understand the map compared to the road in front of you it is very irritating.

Good review and comparison. I'm testing Sygic and comparing it to Google Maps. So far I like both, but will probably pay for Sygic so I can test further. Re speeds shown. I read that Toyota (my car) and other manufacturers build-in a 2 mph safety feature, so when your speedometer shows say 50 mph, your actually travelling at 48 mph. This is certainly the case when using both apps, when car spedo is showing 50 both apps show 48 mph. The same for any speed, always apps show 2 mph lower. Same with my old Nissan.

Yes, I have been testing maps apps for a long time and all always seem to be about 2 km lower than the speedometer. The closest I have seen is Google Maps.

The main issue with Waze is its needs Internet access. I use Sygic 100% free since 2014 and never had any problem navigating the Philippine countryside. Waze sucks. It's not free since you need a data connection which could be a big problem in remote areas.

That Lane Guidance is too good for me to ignore. The complicated roads and lane arrangements in my city means Lane Guidance is essential.
Sygic doesn't suffer from any crashing issues by any chance?

It does on my 📱. At least it doesn't 🔐 out access to all other functions of the 📱 when it does. Just close and restart the app instead of rebooting the 📱.

Sygic offers maps update 3 times per year. This is bad and sad joke! Unfortunately I use my car more than 3 times per year.
Waze has the propper and actual map information, which is allways up to date.
    I choose Waze.
Just like You Madhsudhan, I wanted to compare both apps, so at the same time I was using purchased Sygic Premium and Waze which is for free. I did not know that the Sygic application is the most unfunctional one, because of three map updates per year. As I can live without the lane assistant, I forgot about Sygic and I use Waze. Why? Here comes an answer:
Once I was driving a highway in Germany, and Sygic did not know about traffic jam caused by surface rebuilding on two out of three lanes (it must have been started between the two sad updates). It has told me to drive stright ahead and it wanted to put me in a hour long traffic jam.
At the same time Waze warned me about traffic jam and told me to leave the highway immediatly and get the local roads. So I did it, and reached my target 3,5 hours earlier - according to the expected time given by Waze before i left the highway.
Other example: even if the traffic in a part of your city is closed for some reason - Waze displays which streets are closed and redirects you to the target, using actual traffic informatin. Using Sygic you can forget about it. I choose Waze.

@@mks-mobile I would say "bad experience with poor Sygic". Anyway, in your comparison there is no a word about the most important difference: wether maps I use ar actual or not. You have made quite detailled analize of distance and time used to reach the target, and it does matter, but think about mentioning about data topicality of maps. Not informing the audience about it is at least unfair.

The question here is the data use. If you stay in a country with unlimited datas, then GoogleMaps is the best option. But if you travel in another country and you don’t have much datas then it looks to me that Sygic is very good... What about @Navmii? Any comment on that one>

Waze has the most actual maps. They can be even edited by users and are changed even faster than the google maps (even they are the same company). Sygic cant compare with them. If for example there is a construction in the street, sygic will guide you right to it. With Waze you dont have to be afraid that the maps are outdated. On the other hand, Sygic choose a better way. With Waze I ended once going through a field and once through a forest "off-road" (even when there was an asphalt one around the forest, but blame me for trusting navigation).

STOP FALSE INFORMATION!!! You said honest, Waze in fact does show the current speed limit on the road you are driving on so don't lie it shows permanent speed traps, and people can report all sorts of things such as police, hazards such as vehicles on the side, broken down, objects on the road and which lane, animals, traffic delays and up to how long, weather, construction zones and updated speed zones. Also can be used off-line with down loaded maps by region or states. Gives alert sounds to when you go over the speed limit you can also adjust the this by how many KMsor Mph you Can also avoid tolls, unpaved roads, ferrying, highways, hard intersections and many more and all for free! Clearly Waze is better sorry also availble on Android auto better than my 2019 Mercedes navigation IMPO
