Comprehensive and quick. I've yet to see anyone mention if you're supposed to use your thumb or the release button on the cast.
I guess it’s technically both. Push the release button with your thumb but also keep pressure on the spool so it doesn’t spin until you cast it. As soon as you cast it let your thumb off the spool but keep it close incase you need to stop the cast mid air.
@@DudefishhTV makes sense, see I didn't know if it's more like using a spinning reel or a spincaster so far I've only had spinning reels

They have their specific uses. Spinning reels better for some stuff. Baitcssters better than others. Depends on what you’re trying to do.
That’s my problem. I thought the lil knob was the drag and I don’t always keep my thumb on the spool. Thanks bro

Wait hold on. I hope someone can answer. So the little knob with the numbers is brake. The other one is tension? And I tighten this till my lure stops at ground without backlash? If so this has been my entire problem.

@@IcyTBH just gotta keep dailing in those settings. Also use your thumb just above the line when it’s casting. It’ll help control the spool too.
