AI is already killing our brains. Imagine some of us working in the Big4 Audit firms being told how to incorporate AI in our work...we have stopped thinking.
It will do both, it's a tool, people who never wanted to learn will be able to access Excel at a deeper level and those who want to learn will accelerate their workflow. Similarly, most people don't need to know how to write code to benefit from accessing information or buying/selling products online.

Just to burst everyone's bubble, MS pay walled it. You need an E3 or E5 enterprise license (be in or own a company of 300 licenses chairs) plus you need to pay an extra monthly fee. Despite how much MS is talking up copilot being integrated across O365... its strategically leaving out the bit where only the ultra rich companies get it. cant be giving powerful, possibly life changing tools that could benefit the smaller peasants now can we.
thank you - this not the first time an entire video has been dedicated to functions we can't use - unless you pay an additional monthly fee.. I wish this were better explained right at the beginning..
@@readdirfor all? Or just Fortune 500 companies? If a construction company with 30 employees can’t get it… Then that information is useless to 95% of businesses wanting to utilize this.
Thanks - but it seems these should all just be native features of Excel. Hopefully, Copilot for Excel aggregates all these requests into future feature changes in the Excel app itself.
I’m not knocking this at all, really. There is obviously an audience out there for this. Yet just very plainly, for anyone to be actually considered proficient at excel at a basic minimum level, they should be able to do all of these things without the assistance of CoPilot. Plus then they’d actually understand the underlying formulas and mechanism behind it. Not to say to deter progress as CoPilot is the way forward. Yet just saying these things are fundamentals and actually don’t take that long to do manually via formulas or sheet manipulation vs CoPilot. Hopefully CoPilot is trained well enough to do actual very complex requests which require already prior data cleaning, organizing, and some analysis completed. That’d be the better use case, for CoPilot to further elevate the content fundamentals.
You have to pay for this Copilot - so if you are an individual - just you using your Microsoft 365 subscription - you will have to pay an additional monthly fee to use it.. If your company has paid for a Microsoft 365 subscription for your company, then you will be able to use Copilot..
Hey I honestly don’t know they weren’t clear on when it’s coming out. The Microsoft team gave me early access as I’m partnered with them (as I make excel videos). Sorry can’t be of much help!
@@KenjiExplains You get access to it with their best package, which companies with greater than 50 employees often have. Thats what I know. Its not something for everyone atm, that's have I understood it.
Thank you Kenji. My pivot table doesn’t show negative sales numbers. It just shows 1 in red. I checked the format cell. Still not working. How to fix to show negative numbers in pivot table for cancelled sales?
i saved in onedrive, I enabled autosave. I have the necessary subscriptions. The copilot button is still grey in my app. I can use office and open excel spreadsheets in edge browser and the Copilot button is active. In ALL MY OTHER Microsoft Apps (Word, Note, Powerpoint) the Copilot button is active. I am ONLY having the grey button in excel. WHY? Please help.
I really do not know why so many are impressed. Everything he did in Excel I can do quicker without copilot. Or at least not significantly slower. Why so much writing. Just do what you want. I would like to see data cleaning, or if you do some pattern it applies it to all, but these features are for me of no value at all, let alone $30. I expected more
Presumably you can just talk to Copilot through your mic, rather than typing. If not, it's garbage in my opinion. Also those "professional" responses generated by AI were seriously awful. For example, it was really obvious that they were written by someone or something that has no individuality. I find overly "professional" comms really irritating.
When will this be available to the public???
Love the F1 name play! Was cracking me up
Excellent summary. I look forward when this becomes available to public
thank you!
Either this will make us excel gods or brainless excel zombies
AI is already killing our brains. Imagine some of us working in the Big4 Audit firms being told how to incorporate AI in our work...we have stopped thinking.
It will make excel more accessible but there will still be a major gap between people who understand excel fundamentally vs those who prompt Copilot
It will do both, it's a tool, people who never wanted to learn will be able to access Excel at a deeper level and those who want to learn will accelerate their workflow. Hi guys! can I use copilot for doing bank reconciliations?
Hi kenjy. Great work. Do you perform freelancing work. I need to create a proprietary dynamic table for stock trading?
That camera feature is insane - Wow
Thank you so much Kenji, you are doing a great job. But can this copilot be used for inventory and normal excel functions

It's $10/mo for O365 Home and $20/mo to enable copilot.

Hey kenji. Please do a video on portfolio project ideas
how we can add the copilot to the excel?
Thank you for posting this. Exactly what I was looking for. And very well done in my opinion.
Is it only available in office 365 or normal student version as well?
Thanks - but it seems these should all just be native features of Excel. Hopefully, Copilot for Excel aggregates all these requests into future feature changes in the Excel app itself.
is the copilot available for developer version too?? because it is not available in the home tab
good summary sir handsoff♥
Its finally here...if you have an Enterprise license for M365....
amazing.....Mr. Kenji ...you are the super hero leader of all help!
Young man u r genius
How do I access it?
Good explanation, but still, this function doesn't appear in my office 365
Hi Kenji
How can i setup the copilot on a desktop pc ?
nicely explained
Really like the F1 play!
Excellent job
I don't even have the checkbox feature so the copilot button... Still that's interesting to know it exist :)
Do we have to buy it the autopilot?
awesome, thank you for sharing
thanks for watching :)
I've noticed the f1 pilots for "copilot" review 😂❤
What version of excel support this?
is that available on excel 2019?
Hey! Please can you make a video on global marketing 🥺
How to you insert the CoPIlot app into pptx, Excel, Word?
can personal user get this feature or is it still for corporate users only (300 seats minimum)? 😢
the 300 person minimum was removed. You can get however many seats now
Thanks so much Kenji, its very helpful......
Can Copilton run Solver, goal seek and breakeven analysis?
F1 drivers
you can type the freaking formula to merge the name columns then ctrl D faster than typing the process out in copilot
