no mercy frisk is a way different beast from pacifist/mercy frisk. Pacifist frisk at most can dodge well and talk anybody down from a fight, no mercy frisk however is a cold blooded killer. They don't care about anyone or anything and will not stop marching till their task is complete. They are the best fighter of human kind and are [arguably] leagues stronger then any other monster, be it sans or undyne. Nothing stops them when they are determined to do something, and some would even call them "the embodiment of human's determination."

funfact: its called true love frisk and the healing wasn't a glitch their determination is limitless and when they see their loved ones die they become stronger than they were before so frisk is still wounded just not physically
also they do care about anyone and anything he was fighting to protect his friends and he only got stronger because asriel died and he cared about asriel a lot (glitchtale frisk is male)

We dont actually get to know when was the war,so maybe they could use magic in that time but has a lot of things it probably got forgotten for the lack of use,we only know chara fell into the underground near 2000's, wich is already modern humanity

The first animation related to glitchtale, "megalomaniac" is 8 years old, and the first episode of the series is 6 years old
