- I flew all the way to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia to watch Neymar play his first game for Al Hilal. Luckily we managed to meet him after one of the most insane experiences!

So many people complaining about Europe football going down because Saudi buying these players but what they don't get just like in Europe also Saudi have people who love football, look at the joy on these kids faces, seeing their idols playing next to their home everyday makes them believe in big things.....
The stronger league will benefit these kids making them stronger + Saudi will be shown to the world through football + the rest of the world will have a reason to try and visit Saudi...
Football is not Europe only, it's worldwide thing, south American football dominated for years and Europe bought majority of their players, now Saudi want to be in the spotlight rightly so

You are right . Also Saudi have already the good base to build stronger league. Just you need look back before . In world cup 94 they pass the group stage and beat Belgium all by players play in Saudi league. They beat Argentina in 2022 by only by players in local leagues. AlHilal reach to final of club world cup and score 3 goals in Real Madrid even before this super star players came . Even Alhilal in club world cup 2019-20 they made tough game to Chelsea in half-final just losing 0-1 before all those super star came .. even the notional teams in Asia cup the winning 3 times and reach final 6 times while there’s strong teams like Arsenal, Japan and south Korea they have alot of players playing in big teams in Europe.
