波のようにぶわっと蚊帳が揺れ動く！ 河南町の獅子舞 石川県加賀市 合河 獅子舞フェスティバル 2024

2024年8月17日、石川県加賀市合河町の獅子舞フェスティバルを取材。この獅子舞フェスティバルは、合河町に加賀市各地の獅子舞団体が集結。19時から1時間ほどの時間の中で、中島町、南郷町、河南町、動橋町、合河町毛合・川尻の演舞が次々と行われた。近年は加賀市の青年団が一堂に会して一致団結していこうという流れが加速する中で、今回の獅子舞の集結はそれを象徴するイベントのひとつだったように思う。青年団らしく、マイクパフォーマンスで盛り上げてから獅子舞を演舞する町があったり、動橋町が演舞している最中に南郷町が飛び入りで参加したりと、ノリの良さを感じた。また、観客とのコミュニケーションを図る場面も多く、獅子舞が観客の座るブルーシートのところに入ってきたり、お客さんの頭を噛んだりする場面も多かった。青年団の団結を考えた時に、真っ先に獅子舞が浮かんでくるのは、やはり加賀市ならではというか、地域性だと思う。
On August 17, 2024, we covered the Lion Dance Festival in Aikawa-cho, Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture. This lion dance festival brings together lion dance groups from all over Kaga City in Aikawa Town. Over the course of about an hour starting at 7pm, dance performances from Nakajima Town, Nango Town, Kanan Town, Douhashi Town, Aikawa Town, Moai, and Kawajiri were performed one after another. In recent years, there has been an accelerating trend for the youth groups in Kaga City to come together and unite, and I think this Shishimai gathering was one of the events that symbolized this. As you would expect from a youth group, there was a town that excited people with a microphone performance and then performed a lion dance, and Nango Town jumped in to participate while Douhashi Town was performing, which gave me a sense of the good spirit. There were also many scenes where the lion dancers tried to communicate with the audience, and there were many scenes where the lion dancers would come into the blue seats where the audience was sitting, or bite the heads of the audience. When I think of youth group unity, the first thing that comes to mind is the lion dance, which I think is unique to Kaga City, or rather, a regional characteristic.
