I am on the hopes of the team that in such a short time to give passable animation to the start of the seasons and work and take their time on the U20. If you haven’t read the manga I’ll fill you in the only thing that happens is shidou shows off what he can do along with Rin. the Bluelock eleven selection with the only noticeable moments being isagi’s goal at the end and the rank 4 and 3 guys in blue lock one being a better ninja and the other guy forgot what he did but he is good. Chigari also gets a moment. The other match is essentially Reo stating he will be nagi’s equal once again. So yes only 2 matches that us the viewer/reader get to see. After that they choose the 11 man squad and off to the match. No training montage just straight to the match. There really aren’t any moments that need the good animation. At most it’s like bad hentai level animation but it’s do able now if they keep the animation the same for the U20 match then that’s where there will be a problem because that actually gets insane.
Guys budget has nearly nothing to do with an animes production or animation, it is nearly always down to time or the amount of good animators that can or want to work on the project.
Here are the reasons why Blue lock season 2 doesn't look good: 1. The art style. Due to the more complex art style, the it adds more lines to the characters which makes it hard to animate. You can see this with Jojos, as the complex art style made the series hard to animate in part 1, but then it had some of the best animation in part 5 somehow. 2. Time. It has only been two years since blue lock season one came out, and they probably just started development of season 2 back when the first trailer released. This means that the staff only have 4 MONTHS to animate the season, which is NOT a lot of time. Dandadan cour 1 was finished being animated in june or july, but it was announced december of 2023, and Dandadan has the simpler art style, more healthy schedule, and while releasing consistent trailers. you can only imagine the hell the animators for the Blue Lock staff has to go through. 3. Staff. The staff for blue lock probably doesnt have the industry breaking talent that other shows like jjk have. the level of the staff can usually stem from the type of show the studio deems the show to be, from a passion project like mob psycho, to a money grabber like MHA, and to just another show that needs to be animated like the average isekai and romance nobody heard about. 4. The type of show. Blue Lock seems to be the money-grabber show as it is the 8bit studio's most popular show. Due to this, they know they can just pump out season after season and they will make immense money as they know the fans will just watch what they put out. It is kind of in the same sense as MHA. 5. Budget. There are many things that budget doesn't account for such as overall visuals (blue lock will probably look good compositing wise), but it does determine the amount of frames. yes, there is a lot of great animation that can be done with like, 6 frames, but considering the potential lack of talent on the team, they probably can't make it happen, as well as the "choppy" (kaneda style) animation isn't probably apart of the directors vision for the show. 6. Soccer. Soccer is a very hard sport to animate as is has a lot going on with the legs, which is hard to animate. You brought up kuroko's no basket because basket ball is a complex sport, but it is far easier to animate as it uses the arms which has easier anatomy than the legs. okay, bye
Well I mean season 1 wasn't really any different with the exception of episode 1, 5 and 11 that had great animation quality😂😂, plus as the manga fanbase we should be happy this anime didn't flop in fall 2022, it was the 3rd most watched anime on fall 2022 and the best sports anime on the crunchyroll awards, despite the bad animation 😂

I'm getting MHA S5 trauma when I watched Blue Lock S2 trailer 😭 Thank God MHA anime has gotten better in S6 and especially S7 with the director change. MHA and Blue Lock are two manga with great art where the anime can't reach the same quality as the manga

I finally completed blue lock season 1 yesterday and immediately hopped on to see the season 2 trailer. I was really excited, but honestly after seeing the trailer I'm so disappointed 😭 Like, how does it somehow look worse that season 1!? The art style and visuals do look better, yes. But the animation itself is so stiff. I'm just hoping the actual anime will look better.

I can at least tolerate season 1. I would have been fine if season 2 continued in that direction. But season 2 is just abysmal. It’s just scrolling through the panels

First the reason the frames are still is because i think its to introduce the characters, and the second reason is that the animation is better and has better cgi than season 1 that you can't really argue with it. The way people pay attention to details in the animation is disturbing just enjoy that blue lock is back and go into this new trailer positively the cgi got better i want to point out something in those frames 1. The pass to shidou was a kick off pass in the manga there is not supposed to be movement there 2. The shidou kick was adapted to last longer because of the trailer it won't be the same in the anime. 3. The chigiri run in the manga just appeared out of no where it's not supposed to have a movement in the animation because of one scene just please it's just things you need to look closely

I am a digital animator, the trailer was composed of still images/videos, stop pushing on a field you people know little about. It's most likely to save budget for the project you people have been complaining about non stop. And Blue lock season one wasn't terrible at all, I'd even say it was pretty good. Stop expecting top tier level demon slayer animation and just enjoy it as it is, unless you want no adaptation of course!

The way people pay attention to details in the animation is disturbing just enjoy that blue lock is back and go into this new trailer positively the cgi got better i want to point out something in those frames
1. The pass to shidou was a kick off pass in the manga there is not supposed to be movement there
2. The shidou kick was adapted to last longer because of the trailer it won't be the same in the anime.
3. The chigiri run in the manga just appeared out of no where it's not supposed to have a movement in the animation because of one scene just please it's just things you need to look closely

You do realize that anime aren't supposed to be just moving manga right? Your claim of the chirigri run panel shouldn't be valid because anime studios tend to change "boring" moments from the manga to add more suspense. The chigiri animation showed in the trailer was just pure laziness.

I am a digital animator, the trailer was composed of still images/videos, stop pushing on a field you people know little about. It's most likely to save budget for the project you people have been complaining about non stop. And Blue lock season one wasn't terrible at all, I'd even say it was pretty good. Stop expecting top tier level demon slayer animation and just enjoy it as it is, unless you want no adaptation of course!

Yo tizzy just shut up and watch the episodes then you can do your review after the end never judge a book by its cover even the creators said the 3rd selection matches animation will be poor compared to the u-20 match please the matches are just 7 chapters there is no need to be spending their time on chapters that can be finished in 3-5 episodes it's common sense even the sukuna vs jogo fight the choreography was epic but the animation was not like the other episodes but no one complained about it why because they finished the episode first
