The blue/green one works because of how pixels work. There are only 3 colors a computer screen can "light up"; white, blue and red. Depending on what a pixel is next to and how bright it is, different colors occur. Taking away what the pixels are next to ie. the orange and pink stripes the colors change. The Photoshop regconized them as different colors because of the pixels next to them.
