Gotta be honest, the game seems kinda nice, holds up a bit from what I remember it was when I was young and dumb, but it seriously does not match the movie's flare; sorry, but that movie's visuals are just FIRE. I guess it was the time's limitations, though; if the game was redone nowadays, surely it'd look amazing.
That's why I'm really hoping they remaster this game one day. There is the tech in games now to really make it feel like the movie. It probably won't happen though since speed racer is basically dead now.

This and Kamen Rider Kabuto are some of greatest games of their generation in terms of unique mechanics that were never replicated anywhere, ever again

The spear-hook jump on Fuji is there, so is the loop, and the crash section on Grand Prix is more or less there. The rapid turns on Thunderhead are probably supposed to represent the halfpipe-bowl-looking things.

I've recreated Thunderheads from the movie almost perfectly accurate. And from my perspective, the Long clockwise is the most movie accurate Thunderheads in the game. As for Fuji, the island lay out seems to be the same as the movie but thats it. The island and volcano is a bit small and the track layout are less movie accurate than Thunderheads.

@@Cyber_Horse_Studios87 There is PCSX2 you can download to play that version. PS2 version has more easy controls button-wise but gameplay is not as great as Wii version.....at least in my experience and what I've seen from other video sources.
Yeah, I saw that too. The game kinda pulls you in when you jump over other cars to make landing smack-downs easier. It REALLY grabbed me at 5:45. That’s the moment I lost imo (well, that and when Trixie “accidentally” attacked me. That jump there was an attempt to recover. In hindsight, it probably should’ve been a spin instead)
