Greetings from Ayrshire ,what entertainment and no little excitement to watch with my Shredded Wheat on Sunday morning . I always love watching Will behind the timbers making it look easy . Almost losing from a position of strength . Great stuff as always accompanied by the pith comments . Maybe should have retained that medication to stiffen up the middle order ?? . Hope the annual Harvey Sherlock day is blessed with good weather

Yes - in our league we play each team twice. One is a straight 50:50 over game and the other is a “100 over minimum” declaration game. Works well but not all skippers quite understand the difference as well as they might.

That shot to the fielder’s knee brought back a bad memory from a high school PE lesson - something similar happened to a classmate but it hit him full on the kneecap which broke. I remember hearing the sound from 150 yards away 🤮
I assume its on run rate. you get the winning draw if your run rate off fewer overs is better than teams batting first who had more overs to make their total

I must admit to wondering how my sister would have reacted when she was 18 if our Dad had come back from the chemist's one fine day with a couple of packets of Viagra for her. Not well, I suspect. But I would have enjoyed seeing the look on his face! I also wonder what medication some poor anonymous middle-aged chap somewhere in Surrey (who perhaps went out on a date last night hoping to get lucky) might have popped at some point during his nice meal out with his new friend if said chemist had simply mixed up two small bags .... but would understand that Dan might well be unable (or least unwise) to answer this!

Only sometimes now - and rarely on a Saturday. Lots going on, family etc. plus the first hour of any game is usually quite tame and not worth bothering with. Will try harder!!!

Dan, I’ve had a question for a while. I’ve only seen this 100 overs concept in your videos. I wanted to know how is the winning draw total calculated?

Think it is based on the on run rate. If you scored 275 in 55 overs @ 5 an over, I think 226 would be a winning draw from 45 overs 5.02 an over.
