  • 13 Reasons Why Season 3
    Soundtrack :
    1. Colossal Trailer Music - Submersive
    2. EPIC ROCK "Lapse" by Black Math
    3. Audiomachine - Through The Darkness
    I just wanted to pay a tribute to Bryce Walker. I know some people believe he's an insensitive psychopath, who deserved to die for what he had done… But, actually, his story also breaks my heart.
    Of course, he ruined lives on purpose. But he tried to change, to make things better.
    So, no, he didn't deserve death. He deserved to be loved. Because he was still a flawed human being.
    "We fuck up. We get better."

    I just would like to specify :
    I don’t defend Bryce for what he did. As a rapist, he should definitely be blamed and there’s no way we could find him an excuse.
    However... this video tends to prove he’s actually capable of feeling remorse, sadness, love...
    So yes, it’s a tribute, not to the rapist he used to be, but to his realization and his will to change. To the human being he was, the one who hurt and was hurt by others.

    Despite what everyone thinks and feels about Bryce, there is one FACT everyone should admit. Justin Prentice is a freakin AMAZING actor. He did an incredible job with Bryce's character and HE shouldn't receive ANY kind of hate or bullying FOR PORTRAYING A FICTIONAL CHARACTER. I hope to see him in future projects. That kid's got real talent, friends.

      yes! the fact that so many people hate bryce walker’s guts really shows that judging prentice portrays his character really well. i really hate his character, especially how he rapes girls and has little to no remorse, but like some of these scenes show he was an ok person at times. 9/10 he was a jerk and rude and just bleh but i guess he had some moments where he was ok.

    In season 3, I found myself forgiving Bryce after hearing his backstory, and then getting annoyed at myself for it. It made me realise eventually how even though he was a horrible person who made absolutely awful decisions... his death was still a tragedy. He had just started turning his life around.

    • @Twj2001
      @Twj2001 2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      I think admitting it and taking accountability for his actions is the first thing to fixing a problem. Bryce was an absolutely terrible person, but as time went on, I think he grew up and finally realized that he was indeed a villain. That he hated himself to the point where he really wanted to die. That he could never forgive himself for what he did but wanted to try and help the people he hurt. But the thing he couldn't control was his anger, and his drinking exploited that anger to have and get what he wanted. I think all people can change, and I hope that everything I do is to redeem evil that even when you do the unthinkable, I can forgive you and hope you can change. That is why I look up to Batman so much; his whole purpose is to not kill people but redeem them. Make them Better. That is what I really hoped for Bryce, but in the end, he died for being angry at the wrong moment.

It's pretty bold to audition and to portray these type of roles, so that children and young people in this world can learn about these serious subjects with leaving them with the knowledge that certain actions and choices within the story/subject are not okay and should be taken seriously.

    yes. there is no definite description for what a rapist or murderer is supposed to look like. if bryce was really changing for the better, the best thing he could do is to find someone like him to change their perspectives and become actual humans with morals. to see him in this light humanizes him. but don't forget about the damage he has brought upon others. not just hannah, not just jessica, but to countless women he assaulted and harrassed. to the parents who will forever ask if they were good parents. to the friends who will forever ask if they were good enough friends. imagine being the victim of assault and seeing everyone accept and forgive the assaulter, just like that. as tragic his life may be, it will never be as tragic to the victim he assaulted. remember that.

    I think this is the most heartbreaking story about the show. The fact that we can see him regretting what he did, and not just for the consequences, but because he understood what he did was wrong. He understood that he hurt people, and he tried to change that. He was becoming a better person, and he was trying so fucking hard. The fact that he couldn’t finish, and we couldn’t actually see the end of his journey and the good man he could’ve become.

    • @kaiserxblue
      @kaiserxblue 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @gamelvr1 you are taking this way out of context already and what you ask is kinda impossible in real life.
      Let me elaborate... just because he didn't go to the police to confess for his past actions doesn't mean that he didn't had any remorse...in fact, remorse is the first step towards redemption, you can blame him for his survival instincts to kick in and prefer self preservation(not going to jail).
      "His deliberate destruction of zach's knee is proof of this. Not only that he blamed everyone else but himself for not changing."
      Gee, you are asking a teenager to be a perfect human, its a fact that everyday we somehow screw something up on a daily basis, you and me and the rest of the world make mistakes everyday...whether it's deliberate or not...besides that has nothing to do with his personal journey to redemption for his past actions.
      What I do believe is that actions have consequences, his past actions made a whole group of Clay and company hate his guts and eventually let him die.,,,,during season 3, its been shown all those flashbacks on how Bryce tried to make up for his past mistakes but in the end it was too little, too late....but at least he tried...because he had remorse.

But I knew that he was in pain he hurt others purposely because that was a temporary pain reliever for him but as he started to pay attention to his wrongs you can tell it made him even more in pain because he knew that he was a monster And he knew that it wasn’t a accidental monster, he knew he purposely created that monster that’s why he so desperately wanted to change his ways because that’s not the person that we were supposed to see. All of the characters were broken teenagers none of them were mentally happy and ig thats the reason for the show. Because of the number of teens in the world who’s mentally unhappy and you either see it or you don’t and Justin is really a great fricking actor I hope his career expands

    I feel as ashamed of myself as Bryce. Today at work was awful. I was taken to my supervisor's office with her and a high-ranking chef. They (or mostly the chef) told me that I've been touching my coworkers too much. Not THAT type of touch, of course not! Just casual ones, like on arms or shoulders. I was always very outgoing at work. When I asked her if anyone reported a complaint, she said it didn't matter. She told me that we need the workers to be comfortable in a good work environment, and that I pretty much shouldn't talk about anything other than work and school (I work at a university's catering service). She told me I shouldn't tell my stories because they may be inappropriate to my coworkers. Now yeah, I pretty much don't have a filter, and sometimes I guess I do say inappropriate stuff at work, but not horribly nor intentionally. I like to joke around and have fun with my coworkers, but I guess it isn't like that after all (more or less). I really didn't get specific information from the chef about what and who. She understands and likes that I'm outgoing, but she made it sound risky and in need of limits, for good behavior and my coworkers' sake. And again, that I shouldn't touch my coworkers (shoulders or arms) without their consent. But seriously, I'm not a creep! I don't randomly hug people or anything like that. I didn't mean to be so "handsy" (I say loosely). I'm so embarrassed about the office lecture. I am not like Bryce at all. I'm really not. Have I really gone that far at work? I already hate being on the spectrum, and sometimes I actually hate myself. I wish I could work somewhere, not only for my coworkers' sake (should that presumption be true) and myself, because I'm so ashamed.

    • @stephenblack5425
      @stephenblack5425 ปีที่แล้ว

      You know, I'm also a very "handsey" person and I've never been called out by someone for it and a lot of people have that "handsey" behaviour and it is completely fine as long as it is an appropriate touch and people also knows that what kind of behaviour is appropriate or not because if it is not then they would either call you out right there or just get uncomfortable and never talk to you that much after that and they would always be weird around you which is something you would be able to sense and if you're coworkers are always comfortable with you then it's not a problem but if they're not then it is also not a problem and you would have to back off a little bit because not everyone is the same and yeah, you're not a creep or a Bryce Walker, if you are very touchy and if you're touching people in a appropriate and friendly way and you know it in you then you're all okay. Maybe that chef you're talking about have some sort of personal vendetta against you.

    • @johnrainsman6650
      @johnrainsman6650 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@stephenblack5425 She's not against me at all. In fact, I felt so bad about the incident, I wrote an apology letter explaining my side and ASD to her. It mentions how I never intend to offend people, that I felt horrible about the office thing all day yesterday (including during a run that I shortened due to guilt and anxiety). It was a long letter, expressing so many things: 1. my guilt, 2. my need to redeem myself, 3. an explanation that my hands on shoulders and arms were always meant to be friendly and casual, not creepy, 4. my hesitation to do it if I had known it would bother my coworkers, 5. my issues with communication and social skills. 6. my need to accommodate and respect people when I feel I have gone too far or when they're just not pleasant. 7. Yadda, yadda, yadda. I also admitted I had ASD to "clarify with context." I handed it to her in the kitchen and left to continue my shift. She came around the hall to talk to me, and she sounded understanding. I told her that as a guy who unfortunately develops *differently,* it's tough and I often say the wrong things, in which case, I apologize and choose not to speak around the people I think I've upset. You know, to let her know how cautious I am around people and quiet for their sake. She understands that I had a challenge in my life ("challenge" is her word) and she said she felt the need to make sure I understood what is appropriate talk at work, to help me "succeed in life." Apparently, this isn't just about my coworkers' sake, it's about mine as well. Apparently she was trying to benefit me just as much as the other workers (if not more). I told her my guilt and improved behavior was always about them, not me, because I put others before myself. She promised she wouldn't spread around my ASD (which I had told her in confidence in the letter), and that she never meant to scold 👉me in the office (while portraying an angry face for a facial gesture). She even thanked me in the end for the letter, I think. Now, I still have to wait for the wound to heal, because I'm still kind of awkward about the office meeting and the today's talk with her, because I'm not usually emotion-expressy around coworkers, especially about my ASD and self-doubt.
