i could be wrong but im pretty sure they just dubbed the studio version over the video of them at home. it sounds exactly like the album version. also i noticed at a couple points the vocals and video doesnt quite match up. still an awesome song. one of my favs from them now.

The problem is...he tried to sound like Chris. Chris had a very unique drumming style and they hired Art to replicate it. So it just sounds like he ripped off Chris. I would be way better with this if it brought a new sound to LOG.
Agreed. Im having a hard time loving him like I did with Chris. Hes definitely growing on me though. Chris was the first metal drummer I ever heard and he will FOREVER be my favorite.
Art's style is nothing like Adlers, they didn't bring him tl emulate him, however he offered to sound like chris because he himself is a HUGE fan of Chris's unique style. Art also said he doesn't want to dissapoint fans and wanted to stay true do the sound of LOG. He hasnt really perfected Chris's style but as someone who learned most of his drumming from Chris Adler and Jimmy 'The Rev' Sullivan, I can say Art is doing a bang up job. I am a big fan of of Winds of Plague, the band Art came from, yea very different sounds man. Art is an amazing drummer. The band actually wanted him to bring a little more lf his style to LOG but he didn't really want too. Im sure the next album he will open up a bit more, bring in some heavy blast beats.
He hasnt been replaced. Art isn't close to adler, sorry.

Wow...just wow. There is such a thin line between the actual studio recordings and this 'streamed conference call' set. Just absolutely blown away time and time again. Art has really just picked up those sticks of fury on the drum.
They all recorded individual tracks into their "home studio" setups which would be synched and mixed later. Home setups are amazing these days, but it's more than a video conference call. It's pretty easy for someone to get studio quality recordings at home today without much equipment.
I hope to see them for a fourth time this July. Each show I was blown away by their performance. I truly appreciate a band who can play their songs and they sound exactly like the recording.
