N Ga native here, and I loved your video. Trick for Dillard House, ask for the ham and desserts. They don't bring them automatically you have to ask. =) Thanks for showing how great our N Ga is.

i know Im randomly asking but does any of you know a trick to get back into an Instagram account?? I somehow lost the password. I would appreciate any help you can give me
@Tatum Cairo i really appreciate your reply. I found the site thru google and Im trying it out atm. Takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Nice video, I spent many vacations in the highlands, NC area. Great place to see and explore. I explore the north Georgia mountain for abandoned mines. Thanks for sharing your video.
I visited North Georgia for the first time in October 2020 & it was beautiful... felt like I didn't get around to 1/10 of the things to see & do. Am returning this year for a week long stay in a cabin. Loved this video! Thanks for the insider tips.
@@NayT0411 I recommend figuring out where you want to go for day trips & activities & then choose a home base that is midway between. For me, I like scenic drives, hiking, and a little bit of window shopping, so I based in Blairsville (between Blue Ridge and Helen) & did a lot of exploring. FYI, I had good luck using VRBO, filtering for Premier Partners and 4 star reviews.
Thanks! Glad you have you around! We don’t live too far from Florida here in Georgia. If you’re like us, you’ll enjoy to change in elevation and awe of the mountains. Let me k ow if I can help by answering any questions you have.
Add High Shoal Falls hike and waterfall swim and a day of boating on Chatuge Lake and a day of river tubing in Helen for more fun! Also, check out the views from Bell Mountain.
Have heard of Chatuge Lake & have done the Helen tubing but High Shoal Falls & Bell Mountain are new ideas. Thanks so much for the tips!! So curious, are you a tourist there or a local? Thanks again. shan
@@HTG-k2d We vacation there every year. This time I found high shoal falls and we tried boating on Chatuge and it was great. The views from Bell Mountain were unbelievable. We also took a swim at Lake Burton, another beautiful lake.
Wow what a fantastic trip and excellent footage. 😊😊I recently hiked Amicolola falls and want to hike Tallulah Falls in two weeks. This video is very helpful. Is Clayton GA near Tallulah...could these two places be visited in one day? I really want to visit all these places lol.
Thank you! That makes my day. We've spent a lot of time near & at Amicalola Falls - beautiful. Tallulah Falls is gorgeous. You probably already have, but I'd check out Tallulah Gorge State Park site about details & rules of hiking or call them at 706-754-7981. There's a limit on capacity in general and a 100 permit per day to hike to gorge floor so I'd chat with someone ahead of time to make sure you have the best experience. Yes, Clayton and Tallulah are technically about 15- 20 miles apart. Clayton is adorable and such good food. I'd lodge near Clayton or at Black Rock Mountain State Park (another BEAUTIFUL place!) if possible.
@@HTG-k2d thank you so much for responding to my comment. Ok. I'll check with the park. I heard about the 100 limit on permits but wasn't aware of their overall capacity limits. Thank you for lodging recommendations as well. I was taking a shot in the dark with Google. 😆 Thank you so much!
@@HTG-k2d it’s me again. Lol. I did the Tallulah Falls hike this past weekend. It was AMAZING!!! I’d definitely do it again!!!! Afterwards I ate at Fortify Pie. 😊 Clayton is such a cute town. I was glad I got there early to grab one of the limited parking spaces out front. Again your video was such a good travel guide. I keep coming back here so I can plan for the other sites. ❤😁😁
Yay! This comment makes my MONTH! It thrills me that you loved Tallulah Falls & Clayton. Thanks for taking the time to comment and add to the conversation - so helpful. Yes mam, much more coming!! -shan
Would love to help. 😀If you click on the link in the description titled "full details & info" it will take you to my blog post, a written itinerary about this road trip and there you'll find a link to the cabin we stayed in. There's also a video about our cabin right before this video. You can also copy & paste the link in your browser --- thehowtoguru.org/things-to-do-in-north-georgia We loved our cabin because it was amazing, but also centrally located between Tallulah Falls, Georgia & Sky Valley (which is a 25-mile stretch). There isn't much to do within the areas below Clayton, so I would definitely stay near Clayton or above. We'd love to return and stay at a Black Mountain State Park cabin as well because it's so beautiful there. Email me if you'd like at shan@thehowtoguru.org & I can give you more details about lodging choices depending on your luxury level :) This area is gorgeous and so fun! -shan

Just make sure you don't speed while ur going thru there. lol
