When you are growing a giga (or any other Dino) do you typically grow solo or do you try to pair up with an older giga? If you do grow solo, what are your recommendations for areas that are good for cover? I’d assume any of the forests, but it’s been a while since I’ve been on the Arazoa server so i don’t know which ones are more populated now a days lol
I would try to pair with another Juvi or two adults. Another Juvi could be easier because you can hide easier. But if you have 2 adults you’ll have better defense. Darkwoods, whistling columns, rockfall and rainbow hills are all good places to grow. Oh and Ocean Pillars and Burnt forest.
Yeah. Lol! There was another fight happening, I don’t know if it was a terri or a hunt. We were wondering if we were going to have to fight that other Gigas but they ended up getting into the fight with another Rex that was lurking. I use resilient hide.
Maybe it's a good thing Giga has the advantage (?) You mentioned it yourself, Rex is an ambush predator and their preferred biomes are in the forest, not large open plains (tho that is optional). I mean idrc if they give its turn radius a bit of a buff again, but I will admit I'm not a fan of the constant rex presence at places like GP. It's refreshing that they finally have a reason not to just hang out in the open 24/7.
Yeah, I don’t like seeing so many Apex in one place either. The only problem is that people tend to go where the players are and that happens to be GP rn. So when you travel around the map and encounter nothing for 2 hours, you tend to go back to GP.
Oh yea couldn't agree more giga definitely rules any plain biome. It's feel refreshing an such even a solo giga myself definitely sees differences before an after had a terri fight with a rex at Ripple Beach a week ago which is also giga friendly turf nearly almost died but still won none the less so yea definitely a major update for giga. An as for rexes debuff turn yeeeea I can definitely see how bad turn radius has become trust me jus started playing rex an I'm like wait wasn't rex turn radius abit faster before? But anyway rex is a nightmare when it comes to ambushes got me a pair of gigas ambushed in the woods so yea rexes rule the forest and gigas rule the plains
Yah that true I like how it balances out like that. A similar thing happened in the wild with cats and dogs of similar sizes. Ex is how cougars kill wolves in wooded areas but wolves kill cougars in open areas.
I think rex is kinda perfect how it is, i know its a solo dino, but its raw dmg and hp really make up for it since its a ambush predator, and i mean a strict ambush predator and not a generalist dino so it should really stick to forests and itll be fine really
The rex shouldn't get its turn radius back, its preferred biome is the forest, stick to it and you wont have disadvantages. 2 players verses one yes, but rex has bone break, and thats all you need to take a single giga down and end the dispute. Imo its a fair change
@@toxicnoise4379 against one, yes. But the way they are balanced now, it is easy mode for 2 gigas to take out a Rex, even if they land nine break. But you’re right if the Rex stays in forest it has a much better chance. Only problem is EVERYONE avoids the forest in Arazoa, so the Rex is forced to go to the plains to hunt bc that’s where all the players are. So it should be able to deal with Gigas when it has to.
@@Whiskey714 I get that yeah, I recently got into a hunt with a rex as two gigas in green hills so open plains, immediately got bone broken and I was done for, it depends on the situation definitely

What’s a good hide to use for giga?, also was another terri happening in the background with a Rex and another duo giga?
At least I use resilient hide to counter those pesky Allos :]

They just need to revert the rex turn radius back to normal and it will be fine.

@@TyrannosaurusRex1997 I agree
What do you think is better, the ripping bite or the charged piercing bite? I know charge does more but takes stamina
I like ripping, but it’s a personal preference.
Change bite doesn’t take stamina away :D
@@chose.n_4ever685 Oh it doesn’t? I haven’t played giga in awhile been playing low tiers lol

That makes so much more sense now, I didn't know Gigas got that turn buff. I lost my most recent fight against them :(
