    I was always in awe of the pruning gangs. Made thinning to waste a lot easier. They pruned up to 8 meters in the pole regimes up north in Woodhill forest. Hard workers.

      Hardout brother one of the hardest jobs out there especially if you push yourself to pruin 300 plus on the EASTCOAST.
      Only thing harder would have been picking squash with the PUNISHES on DK's belt.

    Pruning is required at this early stage of the trees life and again as it gains height to have a height of 6m with no branches.
    As the tree continues to grow the tree gains diameter and the branch area is covered by the growth this area outside of the original diameter where the branches were is clean timber with no defects, commonly known as clear wood and this is the timber required for veneer or clean faced ply.
    Normally the clean 6m butt log is worth more and covers the cost of pruning

    Sorry for the question but I am not in the field, is this way of pruning requested to let the tree grow much higher than a tree with branches? These trees are grown for construction wood?

    Would have smashed those trees bro,Thats cream but az far az 1st lift I don't think u should ever need 300 a day unless ur rates are shit regardless of how easy or small the trees are 1st lift always worth more, u a 1st or 2nd year bruv? The bro next to u should give u more tips like once trees open cases the wheels around instead of up an down or technique like useing your hook an how to use it more so it's less power an easy on the body also tool maintenance 😉 TOKOROA BUSHMAN

    Do you guys have a pruning season in New Zealand? Here in California if you did that to a pine during the summer it would bleed out and get killed by beetles.
    Good work btw. I limb up a lot of doug fir with a pole saw for fire abatement...dead branches are too hard and brittle for your fancy shears :)

    • @ransackmaori5725
      @ransackmaori5725 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends who's pruning, the best of them can make 300 plus a day.
      But it definitely should be worth more as most contractors take a 50/50 split.

      Nah not on the EASTCOAST should be 1.20 to 1.50
      300 isn't for everyone, only few Spartans, the rest either don't push themselves or go home and don't come back.. it's not for the weak..

    pine needles die off you don't need to eliminate those your wasting your time. it's the epis that gotta come off .don't worry if you miss one or two you'll get them on the next lift.taking needles off is just down time.
