    When you get the engine running again measure the temps you get on those relays. You don’t want to print pla or pla plus for anything that gets or is near anything hotter than 85-100c. Best bet is petg... abs preferable but I’ve seen your printer and abs is just not going to work for that unless you build a special heated enclosure.

    • @Dantami98
      @Dantami98 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And the 3d prints are electrostatically charged so it may be a good idea to insulate the cables before putting in the printed holder. I don't know for sure if it can cause problems but one time i was very close to get the house in the air with a print...

    • @Matt_Vanepps
      @Matt_Vanepps 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's what I was thinking. PLA is absolutely the wrong thermoplastic for this application. Like melt around your wires and short to ground type of wrong plastic. I wouldn't use PETG either. Best would be nylon, but your printer won't do it. Second would be ABS but you need to build an enclosure for it.

    • @dehumbertman
      @dehumbertman 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only reason I didn’t recommend nylon is some manufacturers don’t adequately dry their nylon before extruding into rolls and prints from a fresh bag can be quite brittle.

      Jesus 33 a spark won’t light liquid gasoline on fire... the only time a spark would ignite is if there is a mixture of oxygen and gasoline vapours that are at the right level. They had nearly empty fuel tanks in a large garage, no chance of explosion

    • @hardwurkindaddy
      @hardwurkindaddy 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DeibertLandon fumes don't immediately dissipate when fuel is spilled. They concentrate in a layer at the lowest point (floor). If a spark were to reach the floor where the fumes are, flames. If your Venturi system isn’t good enough, get a new Y-shaped fitting the best one for your application is a brass fitting. Where on side goes straight through and the other is like at a 30 degree angle. Like that you’ll get much more suction. The 90 degree T is pretty inefficient for that. Another tip, when plumbing it put the pump on the 30 degree end and then on the straight side put the other tank. If you need it, I hope this helps!

    Great Job Guys! You tend to take on some pretty crazy projects and we definitely enjoy watching them come together. Just wanted to comment on the relay/solenoids that you are using in front. These are intermittent use only and they pull upwards of 5 to 6 amps when in use. If its a continuous circuit you need to use continuous duty Relay. I Recommend a 880086 Terra power, Power relay, this will handle the continuous 300 amp load. Also, might think about removing the clutch pulley off the alternator if you continue having belt issues. Keep the great content coming!!

    What about fuel slosh in the tank of the Huracan, with g-forces, during turning, acceleration and deceleration? Would taking out the secondary pump cause issues with the sloshing or does the secondary pump assist in relieving the fuel slosh with g-forces?

    You got to use ABS plastic filament for those prints or they will warp due to heat.

    with the fuel system all you need is for the fuel to transfer and balance out pressure. so if you run a "vent tube between the tops of both tanks as fuel transfers from one the air can go back to the other thus creating a single tank basicaly.

    Bloody hell mate... I'm a fuel mechanic and you made me insanely nervous by testing fuel tanks and pumps right next to a 12v battery with bare contact wires. That shit is so dangerous with spilt fuel on the floor right next to the battery.

    Please Chris reprint those thicker! Vibration and heat... those will warp and possibly delaminate. Be safe. Make then at least a mil or 3 thicker.
