2009 Dodge Nitro Water pump change

Good video! I just finished pitting brakes all around on my 2007 and noticed a puddle on the floor and lots of noise when I started it up. I figured once I could get the tanks off it wouldn't be too bad getting at the water pump. You helped me a lot with your video. Thanks brother!

Good video...My 2009 Nitro just started making same noise...and it is the water pump...Still working but Its about to go...see little leak splashes..engine light code says cooling system.
Gonna use this video to help me change it this weekend. Only difference is my water pump last 10 years...120,000 miles..so yes its due. Anyways..thank you.

Same noise my nitro is doing and the same play, hope can works till the weekend is when I have time to do that work. Very helpfull video, now I have a clear idea of what to do. Thank you.

Same problem I found in mine last night. I removed serpentine belt and started engine and no noise. Fooled around and found I had a 1/4" play in water pump bearing...

Can you tell or show me what you used to get the air bleeder out , i tried today with big tbar allen key and was scared of stripping the thread,

dodge nitro sounds like it blowing up... but its actually the water pump at 40 to 60 thousand miles out of the dealership

Is replacing a 2008 dodge nitro water pump the same process? Are the layouts the same?
