Yikes what a post christmas aftermath with the wrapping paper 😂. Just a suggestion for the future, perhaps as your family opens their presents have them drop the wrapping immediately into a bag for recycling. My family did/does this. Thanks for the motivation. Happy new year.

I can't understand how can people live in such a mess? I' m nearly 70 . I have a husband, 2 children and 3 grandchildren. They came to my place for the holidays to selebrate the New year Ave. I cooked a lot of delicious food. And they stayed in our house for a long time. But when we finished to eat we washed all dishes ( I have no special mashin for washing dishes). While everybody came to have a rest and children played, my son's wife helped me . There were a lot of paper and boxes from presents and we threw them away. And then prepared everything for tea. When I come from shopping, I put all food and all things to their places immediately. And so I have no decluttering places in my house at all. And it's the usual practice in all our Russian families. Even when I wasn't a pensioner, I worked, and children were little I always kept my my house in order, and my husband always helped me. And we taught our children to keep their rooms , clothes and all things in order. It seems to me it's easier to keep all things up , then spend a lot of time decluttering "all corners " of your home.
