Thank you SO MUCH for this video! I’ve had SUCH a hard time finding info on dual purpose wood stoves
Hello from our farm in New Hampshire. I have been watching this stove on You Tube. I was planning to buy the smaller model of Kitchen Queen when we were given our great uncle's 1930 Home Comfort. He was the sole owner, passed away some 40 year's ago and left the stove at our farm in a cabin. So the metal was still good, if not a bit rusty. The fire box is tiny compared to yours, but the Home Comfort is primarily a cook stove. She will heat the 500 square feet of open kitchen and living room easily. Hence it doesn't take much for my oven to reach 350F and stay there. Being non air tight, we too have a 24" clearance to the back wall to meet fire codes. Our main air tight wood stove is in the basement. Works our well for us. As you mentioned it could be an insurance issue. Always make sure your wood stove installation meets your town's fire codes.
That is a gorgeous stove! I can’t wait for an update on how much you love it and all the tips and tricks for cooking and baking! Give all the animals a big cuddle for me ❤
Thank you! Will do!
It's been 7 months. She totally will not give you an update, but nice try
That was super helpful. Thanks!
no problem!
Loved your presentation, explanation and demo of all of the details! Best info on any wood cook stove I've seen, hands down!
THANK YOUUU!!! Means a lot!❤
Also stay tuned for more cooking videos! I filmed 3 this week!!!
We have the nordica extraflame family 4,5 wood burner cooker and absolutely love it!
Wow!!! Love that
Hey Lorrie, love your video stove looks awesome. I can’t wait for an update on it. Could you please do some more hermit crab videos. I love them being a hermit crab mom myself.🐚
Thank you. We didn’t do much research but we got the xxl. I didn’t even know it had a drawer face palm. We got ours from Lehmans. Tonight was our first fire and the smell is horrible but I watched your video to learn what I should have already learned. So thank you!
Ofc! The xxl is a great stove!!! I hope you love it! We love ours! This is our second season! I highly recommend getting the bird guard attachment from lehmans or obadiahs for the chimney cap tho, we have had 3 birds fly in and its been a mess. We have the Ventis pipe, and got the attachment for it. It was $60 at obidiahs. So its on the way! Thanks for watching!
Very informative. Thanks for sharing.
Youre welcome!
that actually looks really cool
Yeah, and it only cost $3.7K
Thank you so much on your video. I wanted to see how the doors latches and you showed it. I have an Elmira cookstove and I’m getting rid of it. They put cheap roller closures to close the oven door and it broke. No replacement parts for that.
Oh that stinks! Im sorry! This stove and doors are solid.
Hi Lori, we just saw your video... it's great, you know your stuff!
We hope you are enjoying our wood cooker!
La Nordica-Extraflame
I love it so much!! We are on our second season and love this stove. I asked my husband if he would change anything about it and we couldnt think of anything, so thats says something. And thank you for sending us extra tiles, we love the black. Thank you!
Nice 👍
Stunning stove
Thanks!!
For the low low price of $3.7K, you also can have this stunning stove
Really nice presentation. Very informative. The only thing you didn’t mention is why it took so long to get.
Thank you!!!!!! Because it is made in Italy and they (Obadiahs) can only place cargo ship 🚢 orders 2-3x a year! ❤️
Ma'am, is it casting iron? Are its walls lined with heat-retaining bricks? What is the price of...?
yay I'm 2
Hey can u do an update on lemon?? 😃
She passed away:( she was 5.
Yummy you can now make fish 🐠 soup and turtle 🐢 soup 🥣

How long is that guy sitting in that chair?
Forever lol
Is this your only stove/oven or do you have one in the kitchen too? Is that in your kitchen?
We have an electric in the kitchen! But when the wood stove is on, i only cook on it!
So did you quit TH-cam?
No im still uploading, but i am very pregnant so i have a lot on my plate. Im moving this channel into a homesteading direction as it was always meant to become.
Lol
People get irritated with the EPA and other government regulations - and I get it to a large degree. I won't live in Colorado because, last I researched, you can't collect rainwater... Really??? There are other states, cities, towns, HOAs(😖) that won't allow you to grow fruits and vegetables in your own yard. Again, really??? Those are the types of regulations we can and should fight up against. However, that said, if you've had the opportunity to see some of the ridiculously unsafe crazy crap people do and rig up, I mean, you start realizing plain old everyday common sense is really not as common as common sense folk would think. When it comes to safety, usually there are those out there who have made it difficult for the rest of us and regulations end up being implemented to keep someone from, say, burning down their home - or yours. Be honest, depending on your job, any number of you know those workers at your job that the rest of you are saying, "How in the heck did they get hired on!" because they keep doing crazy crap that's going to get someone hurt, or worse. Anyway, some of the regulations seem to be coming from, literally, nowhere and out of the blue, but some really do make sense. If my life might depend on someone else with less common sense being given some regulations to follow, well okay, I'm fine with that. If the new regulations for cooking and heating wood stoves gives our wood burns better mileage AND creates far less pollution.... Well, I'd call that a win.
It's a beautiful stove but putting in the middle of your living room is not my cup of tea.
Its not in the middle, our room is quite massive its actually over in a corner lol. This is about 1/4 of the room you see here. :))) the other side of the room is our living space!
Who gives a rip about the EPA?
Well they regulate federal standards sadly. So if they say something has to be done, in order for stove manufacturers to sell their stoves and home insurance to cover them, they need to comply sadly. I hate it
