Very methodical--every hair follicle was completely stimulated and the hair conditioner entirely distributed evenly across the scalp. Never have I seen such thoroughness. Not even the sideburns were overlooked. The client should be very satisfied with the results.

A very nice-looking salon with great colors. The young barber did a very professional face and scalp massage on Ege, who is starting to relax a lot more. Other than washing Ege's shirt in the sink (22:09), the session was a good one for Ege and for us! Glad your ISP is back up!

Pitho TV - could you explain to us non-Turks how barbers are trained in Turkey. Is it all apprenticeship or so they also go to barbering school. Been seeing a lot of young barbers, some who appear to be teenagers. You don't see that much in USA. It's nice to see young people learning a trade.

As far as i know the barbers start working after compulsory school (15,16 yo).
its very old culture. If u dont succes at school ur family generally send for learning a trade because when ur 20 u have to work and if u dont succes scholl u can be succes at trade. Actually most of turkish kids learn some trades in summers . i worked in a wrecker and a socks factory as well but someone has to continue.
I like how Ege goes truly relaxed in this video.
Personally I did not find this barber's technique to be very relaxing though. The hair care is probably good, but massage is largely about calming the nerve system, not so much squishing the muscles around.
Albeit you being nitpicky for general consensus in massage ASMR, massage in general is not only for relaxation though. Massage that stimulates muscle recovery and blood flow (therapeutic/sports/physio/recovery) massage exists for a reason. And those massages is usually rougher than the massages that you said is 'relaxing' or 'calming'. And there's also refreshing massage technique that is supposed to refresh and ready your body for your next activities. I find this massage belongs to the refreshing massage, since barbers aren't very trained in those 'relaxing and calming' massage. Their work is a process by trial and error, they know what is best for you in the middle of the day, after taking haircuts. Personal opinion, taking 'relaxing and calming' massage in the middle of the day could be detrimental to your next activity after taking the massage.

This kid needs more experience. He is very rough and it just going through the motions. He also needs to be more aware of where the water is going. A client's shirt should never get wet.
