- So rather than thinking of good level titles for these, I just wrote about what I'm doing. But I feel like I should still give a detailed explanation. Costumes are power ups unique to the SMB1 style in SMM, and my favorite one is Yu Ayasaki, or as I like to call her, Jumpu. When I heard costumes wouldn't be back in SMM2, I had this idea to upload as many levels as I could with Jumpu. Well, the original plan was to fill all my upload slots, but obviously I didn't have enough time to make 61 levels, so I settled for 21. And most of them aren't really creative... I feel like if a better level creator had this idea they would have finished in a day and with way cooler levels. But I still had some decent ideas for a few of them.
I'm not going to describe all of them, but I started with a silly joke RNG level based on Lucky Draw, I maxed out on sprites and power ups, so the magikoopas can only spawn coins, which means you only need the coins to move to the correct side. Less crazy luck needed.
The second level is just finding the right pattern in which to hit the bowser jr.'s.
For the third level I was just testing hitboxes for different types of trump jumps, if you can call them that. Well, they felt a bit tighter, so maybe it's correct.
Levels 4 through 17 should be pretty self explanatory, consistency / tight timer, whatever.
The 18th level is really hard for me. A lot of the jumps need to be done just right, and you can't pull back at all, because the timer is really tight.
The 19th level is just the ending of all 4 Ryuval Office (RO) ending jumps in one level.
The 20th level is a bunch of frame perfect jumps. And some precision at the end.
And the last level might not seem very threatening, but if you touch any power ups a p-switch will be activated, and you'll die. You also can't pull back at all for this one.
And yeah, honestly, I don't expect anyone to play these levels. I just felt like I had to do something to say goodbye to this game. It's sad. But if someone does decide to play them... uh, good luck. But there's better levels out there, you shouldn't play these. :p
Also RIP Etika. He was a great content creator. Can't believe he's gone.

If you have enough momentum and collide with a wall, you have a frame or two to jump. I believe this works in every style. I know it works in SMW as well.

@Eric A You need a lot of speed and precise timing. I've only ever done it once. I'm not sure if the type of ground matters, though.

the trick is as far as I know pixel-perfect and frame-perfect.
You clip into the wall where to blocks collide, making you stand on the block for one frame, where you can jump. If you dont jump, it stops all your momentum and you’ll just start falling down

I guess this is it huh, what at first we thought was just a far dream actually came to be true, SMM2 is just a few days away from public release.
Although, like you mentioned, there won't be costumes like in the first one, I'm sure you'll make even more creative levels!

Wait a second, 7000 hours? This game came out September 10, 2015, and this video came out June 25th, 2019. Between those two dates are 1384 days. 7000 hours/24 hours a day is 292 days. 292 out of 1384 is roughly 21% of the total time between release of the game and this video spent playing this game. That’s an average of 5 hours a day playing SMM, everyday, for four years straight. No wonder he’s a god.

7000 HOURS? Holy shit! I played BOTW for at least 400 and I thought I played that game too much! (I beat it 100% BOTW2 is next hohoho!!!) Anyway, I couldn't believe you've been playing SMM For that long until I saw you literally JUMPING off of Thwomps with a star, you could probably cheese any Mario Maker level in existence! XD
I'm going to miss the costumes a lot too, especially our girl here. But I hope Mario Maker 2 is a lot of fun!

It is way easier than the original Lucky Draw. As the magikoopas are unable to spawn enemies or power ups, they will only spawn coins.

I don't think I'm leaving it permanently. A few changes in SMM2 are questionable so I might come back to some SMM1 level grinds every once in a while.

Really wondet at the last stage... Whats all those mushroom will show when eating them..... I know the point is not losing jumpu...but it make me dame curious.
I put Sonic in those mushrooms because it has one of the longest death sounds. So if someone gets the level in 100 man (in the few days left of the game), they'll waste a lot of time just waiting for each death.
