You have a great presence. Ive been watchibg your videos since VTH started and i love thrm all. History and gaming are my two things and you do thrm both fantastically. Thank you for all your great content and time. And for sharing your knowledge with the world. You are appreciated.
Hi VTH, caught 2nd vid today as I'm out on holiday. Super set, really enjoyed. Being a Man City fan since the mid 60's and an ex season ticket holder (moved back to Scotland) hope you and the boys enjoy the Champs League game. I get down for 2 3 games every year. An old custom we had for Wednesday night games was after the match to head down to Rusholme to the Curry Mile for a celebration curry and cold Kingfishet beer. Enjoy
If you notice during the Battle of Cumberland, as your men break you see several fresh Union brigades coming into view to reinforce Pope’s assault. I imagine your men broke and ran after fighting so hard for so long only to see a THIRD large army approaching. So definitely not your fault on that one your boys did good!
That last one was a tough one. I, too, predicted we would last closer to the actual end of the battle. I wonder if we had held the Victory Point if we would have been permitted to fight longer?
Speaking of interesting names, several years ago I was going thru Federal regimental muster rolls and found a soldier named Orange V. Lemon. His parents must have had a weird sense of humor.
Most minor skirmish may be the fight between Jen Stewart and union Calvary at Gettysburg may be it. Not sure if the rebs won, if it would’ve freed them up to hit the rear, but if they did it would’ve changed the outcome
Can you make a tips and tricks video updated for this update? I can’t ever win a battle without a good outnumbering, and sometimes even then I struggle. And that’s on easy difficulty. And I can’t seem to get a good start as the south ever.
VTH, Love watching you play this game, I have had fun learning how to play as well. Quick question, while playing this I always think of an old album I have and wondered if you had ever heard it, "The Civil War the Nashville Sessions"?
Just hearing another fellow American speak those words that they are a Rangers supporter instantly gives me heart burn. Ugh i feel that one has simply slipped through the cracks as we were not able to get to him and educate him before he was lured to the dark side!!! Meditate on this I will.....Glasgows Green and white!!! YNWA
I'm pretty sure than down here in argentina we had very little people dying of disease, the main cause of death was all the post battle executuons of any supporter of the caudillo that was just defeated
General question. How is the Union allowed to pass through Kentucky to attack into Tennessee? Shouldn't their be a neutrality thing there? First to violate without being heavily winning the war/getting the support of the people should see the state switch or something. Not sure as this is the first I've come into contact with this game
Could you make a small/fast cav only army and run into the north via Missouri and run rampant up way north in Minn, Wis, etc and see if the ai would chase you with a real army and waste resources?
Yeh I think the production times for guns definitely need to be lowered. Or am I just missing something. Takes 400+ days to get a max shipment of rifles
@@TheHistoryGuy Oh, gotcha. That make more sense, I suppose. Side note on gameplay: you can trust your division AI to carry out orders a bit more consistently now. It's how I have been maintaining challenge in my games.
This is a weird place to ask but I saw your war of rights series and know you are interested in WW1 have you tried Verdun or Tannenburg? They are FPS games from the western and western from and in my opinion very well done. They have the Italian front version coming soon
I am trying to play as the CSA but the Union keeps fielding 2x the number of troops I do. I am trying to keep my credit rating in the A , but if I field 60k troops, Union has like 120k!
I will play Hearts of Iron with you just send something on Patreon. only played once, but still. I have played crusader kings 3 a lot would play that with you to.
I don’t understand why wouldn’t you try to run down the enemy and capture them? They’re just running through you’re lines so you could just easily melee them and capture them couldn’t you?
you are a well educated well traveled family man and you know your soccer but it baffles me as to why you are a rangers supporter when it comes to glasow teams. If you were not familiar with the fact that Rangers are a zombie team that literally died and came back to life. Now on the east end of Glasgow you will find Celtic. A team that can claim something no other British team can claim. No english teams, no welsh team, no northern irish teams, and no other Scottish team can claim......Celtic were the FIRST British team to win the European Cup or the Champions League as its known as today. Before your Liverpools or your Man cities CELTIC with a team of players who all were born and raised within a 20 mile radius of Celtic Park in Glasgow were the first British team to go abroad and win the big cup. 1967 was the year. In a town called Lisbon. History was made. I highly suggest if youre not familiar with this story to dive in deep and you wont be disappointed. The Lisbon Lions! 1967 ......CELTIC football club is more than just a football club. Its a way of LIFE!!!!! And we are global. I was lucky enough to be born into it. My mother born in Scotland and immigrated to the States at the age of 11. My grandmother was who engrained The green and white hoops into my brain at a very young age. I never questioned my loyalties and since the day I can remember the smell of my first ever Celtic jersey being pulled over my head I knew that it was forever. "If you know the history! Its enough to make your heart say F@ck the Rangers!!!!" I hope you know that its a rule to enter Castle Greyskull aka Ibrox you must not have bathed for a minimum of 6-7 days prior to attending. They do this so all the Orcs can readily identify one another and prevent any infighting from misidentification.

What I would like to see? Ability to fight naval battles.

Just found your channel, and within minutes you started talking about fort smith where I live lol, guess I gotta watch and like lol👍
That last one was a tough one. I, too, predicted we would last closer to the actual end of the battle. I wonder if we had held the Victory Point if we would have been permitted to fight longer?
Victoria 3 (takes place 1836-1936) is coming out on October 25, seems like a game you would be really interested in!
I would like to see a Thirty Years War version of this.
Speaking of interesting names, several years ago I was going thru Federal regimental muster rolls and found a soldier named Orange V. Lemon. His parents must have had a weird sense of humor.
So sad I missed this Livestream!! I'm actually studying abroad in the UK ( Leeds ) at the same time you'll be over there. Small world, I suppose.
As a Glasgow Rangers fan,I'm feeling your pain.
The game looks different from when I played last. I might reboot my game and have a play again.

If you were in Northern Ireland, saying you liked rangers would be considered a political statement in favor of the unionists

I am going to see Sabaton in Cincinnati and would love to see you there.
And the Confederacy had the misfortune to have arguiably their worst General, William W. Loring, in charge at Champion's Hill.
One small correction, WW1 is the first conflict where most die of combat, rather than disease.
I'm pretty sure than down here in argentina we had very little people dying of disease, the main cause of death was all the post battle executuons of any supporter of the caudillo that was just defeated
small correction ww1 was the first major conflict where most die of combat, rather than disease.
I finally caught a live stream
try sudden strike 4 please! that game is so fun

I miss the sounds of gunfire in the game. 😢
Yeh I think the production times for guns definitely need to be lowered. Or am I just missing something. Takes 400+ days to get a max shipment of rifles
Ruggles from Massachusetts fought for the Confederacy.
That's the Ohio monument from Chickamauga, right? It looks familiar.
My desktop? 20th Ohio monument at Vicksburg. My 4th great grandfather was in the 20th and I'm writing a book about them.

Hey really enjoy your channel(s)! I’m thinking of becoming a patreon soon, what tier allows me to have a unit created?
This is a weird place to ask but I saw your war of rights series and know you are interested in WW1 have you tried Verdun or Tannenburg? They are FPS games from the western and western from and in my opinion very well done. They have the Italian front version coming soon
Verdun is awesome👍

What’s your wpm??
Maybe add a new tier of payed things where you can create a general.
Not true on Custer being the only one defeated. Crook came within a hair of losing his command at the Rosebud.
Within a hair of losing his command? He lost like two dozen killed out of 1000 men, and he held the field at the end of the day.
Quantrell is who you were thinking of even if my spelling may be off
Yep that's him!
I will play Hearts of Iron with you just send something on Patreon. only played once, but still. I have played crusader kings 3 a lot would play that with you to.
noice

It's a shame that you looking more at the chat than at the battlefield and then you are surprised by the bad developments in the battle itself.
Leeds Leeds Leeds MOT
The AI seems terrible in this game.
