I Chopped Up The Air Jordan 1 Reimagined

- From high to low! Taking one of the most disappointing releases of 2023 and turning it into a masterpiece. The Reimagined collection of drops has been circling the internet for a while as they recreate some of the most iconic colorways with a different spin on them.
The Reimagined Royal Jordan 1s was just one of the releases, but they are still sitting on SNKRS at retail! These were a release that a lot of people had high hopes for, but quickly changed their minds as the pictures dropped and then the quality came out.
However, lucky for us we have Vick Almighty to turn any release into a master piece. We received these kicks from one of our wholesalers @impossiblekicks8788 and quickly decided to test what we can do with them! In case you didn't know Impossible Kicks has over 15 stores across the United States and they carry RESHOEVN8R products.. Make sure to pick up a kit and some shoes while you're there!
To start this project off we had to do some deconstruction on the sneaker by removing the collar and turning them into a low top. Automatically the sneaker went to a whole new level with just one cut. The custom was simple and quick, but ultimately a game changer!
Once the collar was removed it was all about the details from the sockliner to the Fragment logo. Then why not take one more step and use a trick that Vick has never done before. Turning the suede material into a matte looking finish thanks to a tip found on social media.
Overall these Reimagined Royal Fragment Lows are top tier and I wouldn't be surprised to see Vick walking around in these!

What I like most about people disappointed about this shoe, is that the reseller worms are losing a lot of money. Kind of a payback for 2022.

what was disappointing about this shoe? don't believe the hype. solid materials on these
They have a shorter height which makes it look wonky compared to the remastered Jordan 1 series and also they used suede which is extremely fragile. That’s a big reason plus a lot of us still got our 2017 pair that we prefer more since it’s leather and can just handle all weather
They just mad they can’t resell for money I got mine for 147 and they are great

The only thing disappoing about the shoe was that re-sellers can't flip it b/c it didnt sell. The shoe is fire and they are mad about it.
I’m not a big low cut shoe fan in any Jordan silhouette. However, these turned out REALLY good. Vic you do some very good collaborations.

Overall, I find it challenging to reconcile the notion of improvement on a "disappointing shoe" because of the quality [according to your description box] simply by making it a low version.
Would have loved to see him add the Jordan wings logo on the heel of the low, stitched or embossed. But he still knocked it out of the park!
That was amazing. I like the original black tongue and I love what you did with the black leather.

I am definitely a fan of people showing their creativity through making customs, but to me, this vid is proof that hype is sadly king. When i heard he was putting the fragment logo on the side I immediately rolled my eyes. And yes i agree, a Lost and Found version of the Royals would’ve objectively been a better looking shoe, but damn people can we just admire the Reimagined Royal for what it is? Of course a full on retro would’ve been "better", but is that seriously what we want? Just exact remakes of the same shoes over and over?
I believe the suede goes super hard, and its different! Which i personally, cant complain with in the slightest!
On the other hand, I'm a huge fan of low top shoes, and the balm on the black panels looked incredible. I personally would’ve only put the balm on the black panels, but it is what it is.
Ultimately, this was a very interesting custom and I cant help but applaud your craftsmanship 👍 P.S just love your shoes however you want to, don't let peoples thoughts change yours
This year I was able to get the satin breads for 130 and the royal blues for 130 and I am glad I was able to get them at a discount

Dang Vick!. You've came a long way! Hot iron spatulas, patcher sewing machines, printed logos. This was a dope custom to do. That doc marten balm on them made them look sick. These were almost too bright with the suede, it definitely dulled it down. Helluva job!

I just got mine like the blue one, havent wear it yet because im concerned on how to properly clean it. Because if i brush it, it might damage the wool on the surface. Is there a proper way to clean them without damaging?

This was my 2nd favorite AJ1 High release of the year, behind the '85 Black & White, and in front of the Palomino.
Nice materials, the most "correct" toe box shape we've seen in a long, long time, and they look great.

yo vick! quick question, when you midsole swap 4s, could you get away with using a midsole that’s 0.5 size smaller? (ie. size 11 jordan 4 midsoles need swap but found a size 10.5 donor midsole) maybe they use almost the same size dimensions/platforms?? i know when you read the bottom of some insoles it’ll say it fits 10.5-11 shoes…
Crazy how these are sitting at my local nike outlet. I remember how big of a pain in the ass was in ‘13 during all star weekend when the royals released. Some stores only had 15 pairs and I paid resale. 17’ they also sold out instantly.

Hey Vick, long time fan of the page. While I don't have the shoes on me to restore, I did have a pair of Nike Dunk De-La-Soul Lows that I'd love to see get restored. I got them by mistake from the seller and sent them back, not knowing what I had. If you could do a pair of those I'd think it would be dope.
Where and how do I send my shoes? I have some 2006 DMP's. Sole separated and gold jumpman is gone. Tried to reglue but without success. They are still in excellent condition so no need to toss them. I also have a pair of emerald green 11s lows I want to change the color of the patent. leather. I just don't know what color yet. I was thinking about making them like the legend blues

that wax and custom looks dope man...the wax is an espeially easy upgrade custom on the hi-tops just in and of itself. kinda makin me want to cop and copy....is it possible to cut an og style heel tab for the low cuts from the the leather/suede overlay on the ankle part that got cut off? if someone wanted to lol. i don't know why but i;'m just not able to get down with 1lows sans that og heel tab lol,
You should cut the parts from the sneakers not in use or are scraps. It's a matter of choice though.

Dope video!!. I am a fan of these Jordan 1's. I dont know why they are sitting. Anyway, I was not excited at the beginning of the video, upon learning your plans. but I gotta admit it. the shoe came out pretty dope. I like the waxed look as well. I don't like it better than the suede. But its a great alternative. And something to consider after the shoes have aged. Another banger from RESHOEVN8R Vick Almighty. Peace to all, and stay safe.
