Just finished watching a compilation of Maricel Soriano's best performances on movies, and this is all I can say: SHE IS A LEGEND. No wonder she won countless awards! I want to watch all her movies and be a living testament to how astonishing her performances are. That being said, I can't help but feel disappointed about how this generation's set of actresses and writers suck. Filipino mainstream movies are becoming a joke, and the actresses who perform really well are becoming less noticed and appreciated. Performers who don't really know what they're doing but are good at being a joke are being acclaimed. In short, the Filipino movie industry is dying.

Noon pag sinasabi ng mama ko yang grandslam na yan feeling ko yun na ang pinaka mataas na parangal then lately ko lang na pagtanto na wala pala si Miss Maricel ng title na yan. But for me, in my opinion, among all of them, she is my most favorite actress. Very versatile. Sana yung mga fans wag na pag away awayin ang mga idols nila kasi iba iba naman style nila eh. Personal preference lang po yan kung sino ang pinaka magaling para sa isang tao. Honestly I am not an avid fan of Miss Maricel but I could watch all of her works because I know she delivers well. If they were really abused, where are their bruises and medical examination (supposedly)? What happened to Mr. Tulfo who was supposed to bring out justice for them? Maricel is not keen to publicity (good or bad) unlike Sharon Cuneta or Kris Aquino. The maids were obviously out for money, and Maricel outsmart them all!
