Awesome continuation! Must've taken forever to mark all the timeline chapters. And this is all just from 2022? Wow. Very much looking forward to Part 3! Thanks for sharing!
AMAZING! Yeah, ... the TwoSuns and all the different designs and designerrs, but how you could remember all the names, features and flaws; insides and outsides without notes or script...like a parent and their children!!!! You are the living and breathing TwoSun Wikipedia.
I was riding the fence on getting a ts-346 but WMK had a return with the pin not threading in so I bought for $62. I can probably fix that but even if I can't how often does anyone really use need or use it... I had no idea they had so many this year but they also had a few that shouldn't have been. My favorite Two Sun I have is the ts380 the sound it makes when it locks up is awesome. I'm ready for part 3
This may be a stupid question but on the 344 have you tried wedging a toothpick behind the locker and open and close it? Force the detent ball to make a track?
I didn't wedge anything, but did apply a lot of force on the lockbar with my other hand in conjunction with open/closing it for a couple hours, hoping the ceramic would cut through the deep satin finish. Then got frustrated with that and polished the flats with a dremel (scotchbrite, rubber tips, then cotton and stropping compound) and that helped the action a bit, but also kinda pointed out that it wasn't the only issue affecting the action. I might try to polish the bearing cutouts on the blade at some point, and try to secure the bearing races to the handle scales to keep them from moving.
Loving the series 👌 Thanks for all the great info!!! Hope you have a wonderful day!!
