Taemin in Shinee and Taemin as a solo artist depicts his different persona and I love that about him. His adorable and innocent image as a member and his elegant sensuality in his solo MVs makes him unlike any other artist. Makes you want to see more of his art and amazing presence. ❤❤❤
Oh, Taemin has a lot of control over his solo music and since his first full album press it in 2016 (even his first mini-album he had a lot to say about the tone of it and chose the choreographer himself ) and he very much has the most role in the creative process & since since 2019 he is the one who contact music video directors and also has hand in editing his own mvs. Also for his album themes and titles tracks, he would go for writers/composers he like with a song concept and what he does want in a song and request it personally, the songwriter for criminal explained it last year and how she was really surprised because usually the companies are who does that and she mentioned how he would add adjustments if the lyrics don't convey what he really wants from it. another thing he also personally pick his own choreographers as well. As for sm universe, a lot of sm fans who aren't exactly his fans think because his mvs are moody and dark means he is the villain of that storyline but he mentioned multiple times that his solo work has no relation to any of that All in all shinee members for solo and for a group, they have a lot of creative freedom & they have been like that since 2012 & way more so since 2015
In Move, the woman dancer you liked is Koharu Sugawara - the brilliant choreographer for Move and many other Taemin songs. In Want, the girl you see briefly dancing on a platform is a pre-debut Karina from Aespa. You should watch the cut Aespa reactions to Taemin MVs - they really like and admire their SM senior.
that sculpture in the background behind taemin at the end of the music video is a piece actually called "The Gates of Hell" by Auguste Rodin. So you were definitely spot on with your interpretation haha
"don't know if I'm looking too deep into that" -- join the club 😂 literally did a whole analysis relating Want to Dante's Inferno. Want is my preference between the two, in part because of the visuals in the mv, but Move is definitely something special -- there's something so cool about that song. It's much cooler than I'll ever be. Plus I'm pretty sure Move was my first Taemin exposure, a key point in my kpop journey for sure, haha
@Mianne Do Me too !!! Move is my first explosions After the first time I watch Move-practice room version Then I watch about 30 times A day and slow down the video ,try to analyze how his muscles work 😆
He always sets the direction in his MVs, song selections, and album concept. His goal is to create his own identity and music direction and has worked very hard all these years to develop this image. So no, he doesn't have anything to do with whatever universe SM is pushing lol.
Since Move (which was the first track that really captured Taemin’s essence and he personally insisted for it to be the title track instead of the one that SM suggested) everything you see in Taemin’s MVs is 100% what he personally wants. He’s very specific about his concepts and very involved in the whole production process (from writing lyrics to the MV production). What you see as a final product is his own vision and ideas. And no, SM’s universe has nothing to do with Taemin. As an artist he is an independent being. He loves dark concepts, with double meanings and lots of symbolism. If you ever watch his interviews you’ll understand how innovative he is. And yes Want absolutely has biblical references. Taemin is Catholic and you can find a lot of Christian symbolism in his music. I would recommend Thirsty MV and Heaven and Black Rose music shows performances. Songs with guitar riff that come to my mind are Never Forever and Day and Night, but none of them has “sex” in the title (well, none of his songs has to be honest 😂).
@@KpopPrince Oh yeah, I forgot about Sexuality (fact, it’s incredible live). But even if his songs don’t have “sex” in the title I would really recommend to read some of the lyrics - especially for Slave 😁)
You basically wrote everything I was going to :D Except I'm not sure you're right about SM's universe having nothing to do with Taemin. I'm sure they wouldn't force it on him (his past the point in his career where they even could), but I can see him agreeing to participate if they were able to make it fit his own vision too. You can see it clearly in his SuperM activities, how he was the one advertising aespa and knew what SM was planning before everyone else.
@@Pos1t1veThinking Oh, I’m purely referring to solo Taemin when I talk about him being an independent artist with his own concepts and stories and I believe solo artist Taemin is not affiliated with SM’s universe. I don’t consider anything that’s going on with him in either SHINee or SuperM representative to his own artistic vision (especially not in SuperM) and yeah, I guess you can say that he has a certain role to play as a part of this group. As a solo artist though he spent all of his career building his own unique identity and I would think he doesn’t want to have anything to do with other artists’ concepts. (That’s at least what I feel and understand watching him talk about his art and explaining his concepts and vision).
@@KpopPrince I watched your reaction to Taemin's lives on patreon which include a medley of songs with 'sexuality' included in it. I think the song that you like with the guitar riff is 'Guess Who' which was right before sexuality.
He has lots of control over his latest releases. It wasn't the case with his debut album, but now he chooses songs, concepts, consults with songwriters, plans the MVs. For instance he chose himself the director for the Criminal MV, went to him with his own concept and they worked on it together. So his solos don't seem to have anything with Kwangya. His SuperM persona probably has. Also, in Want he literally mentions the forbidden apple, plays with snakes and stands in front of the gates of hell. So yes, it is about the temptation in the very biblical sense :)
Umm, Taemin definitely chose the theme for Danger, and picked the choreographer, Ian Eastwood, specifically because he was going full on as much MJ influence as he could fit in one video, so I don’t know where you got the idea he didn’t have influence or input, he also chose the tracks he wanted on the debut mini including the song Pretty Boy that Jjong wrote for him for his solo debut and chose the title track, Ace, a song Changmin wrote, cuz he loved it and it’s not like SM let Changmin do a solo until 2020
@@ladymidnight8136 I didn't say he didn't have influence or input. But listen to his interviews, for instance with Stacy Nam. He literally says there: "My first album didn't include any of my ideas". He said that the concept was chosen for him and he initially even wasn't sure if his fans will accept this kind of change of his image, but he personally wanted to do it as well. Also Ace wasn't the title track, but Danger was.
@@helenas7948 the name/title of the album was Ace, therefore Ace was the title track, Danger was the lead single, that’s how albums work, and being a Shinee fan before, around, and after his solo debut I don’t ever remember him not having input in his career, he chose most of it, and I remember he was worried if fans who had been with him as Shinee’s maknae would accept him as an adult solo artist, but it’s not like he didn’t think people would support him, he had worked out to get abs specifically to show everyone he was all grown up and different, and was happy about the differences because he was finally able to be his own fully formed artist
The look and feel for "Move" is very specific, it's supposed to be androgynous and gender neutral. Early in his career when Taemin was growing up in SHINee he was known for his feminine look. The industry thought it was novel and cute to dress Taemin up as a girl and play up his feminine features. (And if you ever saw Taemin dressed like a girl, you would see why. He really could pass as a girl, especially when he was younger.) Which ended up giving him a real complex about the fact that people never saw him as a masculine man. It took him a long time to accept that he was known for his looks and to come to terms with the fact that everyone thought of him as a "pretty boy," etc. So, at this point in his career as a 24 year old (He is 28 now) he was trying to make a statement about how he has now come to terms with just being himself and not caring what people think. Dancing is art and movement has no gender. "Move" is his title track on his 2nd Korean solo album which was released in 2017. Fun fact: The blue color you see throughout this MV is supposed to represent the cool, chill vibe of this song, but as you also may know, pearl aqua is SHINee's fan color, so you will see aqua/blue/green shades with most everything to do with SHINee as a way to represent their connection as a group and their connection to their fans, etc. "Move" features all female dancers because the whole point of the song and dance is supposed to be about crossing gender boundaries and how just because you are male doesn't mean your dance has to be hyper masculine. Taemin uses what is traditionally considered more feminine dance moves to show how you can merge both feminine and masculine styles together to create something that can't be singled out as one gender or the other. This dance allowed a more mainstream audience to start to embrace less traditional gender roles within Kpop. "Move" is one of Taemin's most famous choreographies and it has become the dance he is most recognized for. This dance has inspired what is known as the "Move disease," and it is said that the dance is so catchy that you can't help but try to imitate it. There are literally hundreds of videos online of people attempting cover dances to this song. (It is on the level of Beyonce's "Single Ladies" dance and some of the most famous TiK Tok dance challenges.) But no matter how good of a dancer they are, it is quickly apparent that there is just something about the way Taemin moves that can't be duplicated. Taemin is Taemin and there is no one else like him. The dance is never as sharp or precise as the way Taemin does it. That is why he is hands down considered one of the top two BEST dancers in the industry. As Taemin has said numerous times in interviews and on variety shows, the key point in "Move's" choreography is literally supposed to be to stare into the camera like you are trying to seduce the person who is watching. So, you are right, that is exactly what Taemin is doing. If you are impressed with Taemin's dancing in the MV, you really need to see his dance practice video and/or a live performance for "Move." You will be even more blown away when you see the uncut version. There is nothing better than Taemin live. Taemin is just one of those performers that leaves you speechless every time he steps on stage. He was born to be a performer and that is one of the reasons why he has become known as the Korean Michael Jackson. That is also why, as one of the top two BEST dancers in the industry, he was made a member of SuperM. (Kai from EXO -- Taemin's best friend since they were trainees, who is also under SM Entertainment, as well as a member of SuperM -- is the other top dancer.) Taemin is an Idol of Idols and a legend of legends. And the title of the industry's BEST dancer isn't just a fan's opinion but it's a widely agreed upon title bestowed on both Taemin and Kai by their peers and the industry as a whole. There is literally no one considered better than them. The female dancer who is dancing with Taemin in the MV is a famous choreographer. She is the one that choreographed "Move". Her name is Sugawara Koharu and she is a Japanese choreographer who has choreographed dances for several Kpop groups, as well as American artists. She has worked with Taemin a lot over the years and she is the one that also choreographed Taemin's dance for his songs "Want," "Flame of Love" and "Sayonara Hitori" and helped choreograph Taemin and her performance on the competition program Hit the Stage -- "Devil" performance, etc., and she was one of 3 or 4 choreographers who helped choreograph Taemin's "Criminal." Taemin and Sugawara are really good friends. She was also the choreographer for SHINee's song "Good Evening," among others. She loves working with Taemin because they are a lot alike, and that is one of the reasons why she has been featured in several of Taemin's projects. Plus, Taemin and all the members of SHINee, are also one of the most famous artists in Japan and they all speak fluent Japanese, so they have no problem communicating through dance or language. :D Taemin has worked hard to become the magnificent and unique performer and person that we know him as today. But there really is no one that pushes him or holds him to a higher standard then himself. Taemin has said that he really has never taken a true vacation since he was a trainee -- he started with SM Entertainment when he was around 11 years old -- and he doesn't know what to do if he isn't constantly working and training. The thing that he hates the most is when people assume he has had it easy because he is part of a big and powerful company and he is so naturally talented. As he has said, there has never been anything that has come easy to him and he has only gotten to where he is today because he has worked hard to accomplish everything. He is constantly pushing himself to become the best of the best in everything he does. Taemin's choreography is very much influenced by him. Although he has input in almost everything he does, he has choreographers that come up with the choreography for most of his dances and he then infuses it with his own ideas and style and makes it uniquely his. The way Taemin dances is just the way he moves. His movements are effortless. If you watch Taemin dance more, you will see that no matter who choreographs the dance, it will always be very Taemin-like. Many choreographers who have worked with him over the years have said that, with Taemin you can't help but allow him to move in whatever way his body takes him. Taemin is art in every sense of the word. :D I am not sure what videos you have seen previously of Taemin, but everything he has ever done is authentically Taemin and he has always been 100% himself. What you are seeing is the growth of Taemin, he literally has grown up in the industry, so over the years his style has evolved to match him. But he has never tried to be anyone else except himself. Taemin's style of dance can't be defined. As he has said, he has worked his entire career to create a style of dance that is unlike anything in the Kpop industry. And I would argue that that now extends to the entire industry of dance. Taemin started out as a self-taught popper and locker without any dance training, and, even then, as a trainee it was clear his skills as a dancer went far beyond the average dancer. Over the years, as you see with "Move," he has infused those popping and locking skills into his now more contemporary style of dance. But, when it comes to dancing, he can do it all and there is no one better at it than him. The funny thing is, although Taemin is ultra confident when on stage, when not performing his personality is the complete opposite. That's what makes him even more lovable and why he is so popular. When on stage, Taemin can turn his sexy, sensual side up to 3,000 and he becomes the most powerful and magnificent performer that commands the stage. But the minute he step off the stage he becomes quiet and shy and he blushes when people compliment him for his looks or performance. When not on stage, Taemin is known for being sort of innocent and kind of naive and a little ditsy, as only the maknae (youngest member) of a group can get away with -- he is 2 to 4 years younger than the rest of the SHINee members and he plays up being the baby when he is around them, and they pretty much will do anything he asks. He knows how to be cute when he wants something, but he hates it when someone asks him to be cute. LOL.
Want is seriously a gif galore!!! The aesthetic is fascinating in every form! My favorite title track from Taemin. Hope you react to Taemin’s Press It Medley. The video gives you the highlight tracks from his first album and focuses more on the music rather than visuals. I hope you check out his Japanese MVs.
Koharu (the girl in move mv) is the choreographer. You should see their performance in Hit The Stage, "Sayonara Hitori" in which they won first place for it 😍
Honestly, the video you want to review and that is insanely famous is the dance practice video to Move. It is absolutely mesmerizing. It is a gateway to KPop for a bunch of people. Most of his dance practice videos are better than the actual video. He might be the best dancer of all time, and the official videos cut out so much of his insane choreo. As far as the Want video goes, he is the forbidden fruit, and you got it right there at the end.
I think like a lot of SM soloists, they get more freedom as they go. I'm sure Taemin probably started out with less ability to provide input in his very early solo days, but now he has a HUGE amount of creative freedom with what he does. In fact, "Move" was his choice for a title song, and we all know how iconic that is now. His latest song and MV releases ("Criminal" especially) are very much driven by him. He has input now into not only the song choices but the visual direction of the MVs, choreography, etc. After all, he is now a 7-year veteran soloist.
Taemin's "Want" is one of those songs that the lyrics take the song and performance up to the next level. :D The lyrics give the song and performance a whole other feel and it helps to explain the images and story you see being told in the MV. Many people think that "Want" has a vampire vibe, and I can see where some might get the vampire feel from this MV. After all, one of Taemin's nicknames is SHINee's eternal vampire because in some performances and MVs, the way he looks and the aesthetic of the performance gives him a vampire image. However, in "Want" Taemin is supposed to be portraying Lucifer. That's why he seems to have a love affair with those snakes. (The ones he is holding are real snakes.) And, like Lucifer, he is supposed to be seducing the audience and the girl using his devilish powers. Taemin is Catholic, and most of this MV showcases his faith as it tells the story using numerous Biblical references. Fun fact: The female dancer you see in the "Want" MV is Yoo JiMin (Karina) who is the leader of SM Entertainment's new girl group aespa. She participated in this song as a rookie trainee even before aespa's debut. She was also featured in some of the live comeback performances Taemin did for the song. The style and aesthetic in "Want" is just the kind of vibe we have all come to expect from Taemin. He has a very sensual/sexy way of moving and, as a soloist, it's kind of his signature thing. That is why all his songs are titles such as "Danger," "Soldier" "Sexuality," "Tiger," "Press Your Number," "Guess Who," "Mystery Lover," "Hypnosis," "Crazy 4 U," "Flame of Love," " Under My Skin," "Thirsty," "Want," "Criminal," etc. or "Ace," "Already", "Door, "Pretty Boy," "Move" "Artistic Groove," "Famous," "Idea," etc. Each song is meant to show you exactly why he is one of the best in the industry even just by their titles. I find it interesting that all of his songs, with the titles alone, tell you exactly what Taemin is all about. If you look at all the titles of his songs, you will see that the titles convey one of two things about him, either painting a picture of his sexy and sensual onstage personality, or they explain his dedication and passion as an artist. If you like his dancing in the MV, you have to see his dance practice video to really understand how intricate and breathtaking Taemin is with this choreography. No one moves the way Taemin does.
actually Taemin IS all over those aesthetic blogs on Tumblr hahaha the girl in MOVE you pointed out is actually choreographer of the song, Koharu Sugawara. they are also good friends. she did choreography for Criminal and for some of his other songs too. Taemin has the freedom to decide his own concepts and how he wants to present them and himself in detail. He's very involved in the creative process. He didn't choose the concept and the song only for his debut. also, can you believe that MOVE wasn't supposed to be the title track? 🤔 Lee Soo Man suggested another song from this album, a lot more powerful, vocal heavy one, but Taemin chose to go with "Move".
you NEED to react to taemin’s just me and you vcr it dropped for his birthday this year and it’s very artistic and contemporary dancing to a bside from his act 1 album
Move was really him taking control of the narrative that was always pushed on him of being feminine and pretty, he struggled a lot with it early on in his career (I mean he was 14/15 ffs) and he has said that this was him coming to terms with and embracing his androgynous side. He had also realised that a choreo didn't have to be hard-hitting and exhausting to have impact after SHINee's View and he wanted to try it. Koharu Sugawara is incredible, she also choreographed Taemin's Flame of Love, Sayonara Hitori, Criminal and SHINee's Good Evening. Want is still my favourite of his title track music videos. He's actually Catholic and plays with religious imagery in a lot of his music. Karina was such a mystery for so long after that! She even performed live stages with him. As soon as he went solo with Danger SM pushed him in a dark/sensual direction, he was the first one in SHINee to debut solo back in 2014. I don't think he had much creative control for his debut but I get the impression that he really does since Move actually. I hope you eventually have time to check out more SHINee!
You NEEEEEEEEED to see the Move performance at MAMAs with Sunmi, and that surely calls for her Gashina performance the same day in which Taemin then featured!!!!!!!!!
Not only does he have a lot of creative control, but he has also personally edited parts of his videos along with the professionals he works with. One of them said Taemin spent the night with him personally editing on the computer!
These songs are just about some of my favorite songs in general. Want in particular is really overlooked for some odd reason. In that mv Taemin is pretty much Lucifer tempting us. And boy, is he tempting us 😅 Foreplay the song, indeed!
Want is my favourite! Foreplay the music video? What a perfect description. So much of Taemin's stage persona, music, lyrics is so sensual and erotic. Want perfectly captured how he makes us feel. He really is the snake tempting us, and much like the story I'm ready to bite that fruit 😁
you should definitely react to taemin reacting to criminal he goes more in depth of his vision for the mv theres also a longer interview on iheartradio that you should definitely check out if you want to know more of his thought process and history
"Want" is my preference but I love both. They are so good! Taemin's first solo was released in August of 2014 and all of his releases have been GOLD. He likes to change it up and his style evolves with him. That's why it is always so fun to see what his new release will be like because it could be a complete 180.
Yeah the dancer you pointed out in Move there is a performance version of the mv with just the two of them that is worth checking out. Argh I feel bad because I know her name but it escapes me at the moment.
his first solo is Danger i believe and its such a masterpiece aswell, my fav personally is his GOODBYE, there's a performance of it in which jihyo and momo feature as well and its just bomb!!!!!!!!! looking forward to more SHINee reactions aswell!!!!!!!!! :D
TAEMIN es fantastico . único en la industria . Creo su propio estilo. T-POP .pliss reacciona a WUESS WHO y SEXUALITY LIVE JAPÓN .PRESS YOOR NUMBER. SAHONARA HISTORIA ..BLACK ROSE .2 Kids ❤🙏❤♠️
Welcome to Taemin's Bible Study using "Want" as your study guide! You are on the right track; you just need to go DEEPER. As a Christian, Taemin uses many of his MVs to provide us with a lesson in the Christian faith. "Want" is the perfect example of such a study by using the song as a retelling of Genesis 3 with a sprinkling of the salvation messaged just like the original biblical tale which included foreshadowing of the Messiah to come. Taemin's faith is on full display here, but ingeniously hidden to those who don't subscribe to, or appreciate his worldview. However, that message is very present/subliminal for those of us who do appreciate and share this commonality, and for us there's much more to discover. The entire MV is an object lesson into the perils of temptation, lust, greed and sin. As usual, Taemin takes on dual roles as both the tempter (snake), and the one who chooses salvation, and the message is delivered masterfully through the biblical imagery and metaphors. During the introduction phase, we see alluring snippets of Taemin in various poses with snakes and smoke, however, you also see what looks like pools of blood (Christ was the ultimate sacrificial lamb whose blood covers the sins of the world). Taemin opens the MV by dancing in slow, hypnotic, snake-like movements. Snakes/Serpents which represent the idea of the tempter in the Bible (In the ancient Hebrew - which derives from Akkadian & Ugaritic - the word "snake/serpent" ["nchsh"] used in this particular way grammatically in Gen. 3, is a triple entendre meaning "divine shining being". The snake was ancient iconography denoting spiritual/godly figures.) Eve wasn't talking with a snake, but an angel or some other divine shining being. Gardens and mountains were typical metaphors for where gods dwelt because gardens were rare and mountains were mostly inaccessible to ancient peoples of that time period. When trying to interpret the Bible, it's VERY IMPORTANT to leave your 21st Century glasses on the table and look at the wording and imagery from the ancient Israelites' perspective and the language, culture, and history of that time period - from the second millennial BC up through the 1st Century AD. Things don't mean what you think they do now. This is the BIGGEST reason why people denigrate and scoff at the Bible. In actuality, they make fun of it because they don't understand it. They are looking through their own understanding of how things are and what they mean NOW during the present time period --- BIG MISTAKE #1. Biggest mistake #2 is to assume all Christians think the Bible is a book of science. It is not. It's a combination of history (very accurate history according to places, people, rituals, wars, etc., of that time period as verified through archeological finds), songs, letters, and allegories. The glowing, bright white shirt Taemin wears fits in perfectly with the symbolism for "shining" and "the light". The chief adversary of Christ, Lucifer, (MEANING: "Light Bearer", or "The Shining One"). As I explained earlier - divine shining being. Thus I wouldn't be surprised that this part of his wardrobe was very intentional. Taemin is all about the little details. Lucifer was supposedly the most beautiful angel....until he fell. (The word "satan" is a misnomer which actually means "messenger" in the ancient Hebrew/Aramaic, as in the incident with Job. It was actually a job description which became a proper noun later during the intertestamental period and then appeared in the NT.). In addition there are creepy demonic-looking beings around him at certain points when you slow it down. Although he's beautiful, he's hiding his demonic side in order to draw you in....a wolf in sheep's clothing. Just before the bridge, there is a brief shot of a neon red/orange cross behind him, and he mimics the posture of Christ on the cross (which is a signature pose for him as you see in many of his dance postures). In another scene, during the bridge, Taemin is elevated above the snakes and calls them to him because he's their father - the father of lies. The tempter in the garden was a master at twisting the truth, which lured Eve to sin, and she then led Adam to do the same. Behind him is a photo of him with his eyes covered: see no evil here, just gaze at my beauty and listen to what I say. People are blinded by beauty and inconvenient truth. You also get a visual of a solar eclipse. Again a reference to Christ's death on the cross, as there was (according to both the Bible and present day astronomers) a solar eclipse when Christ died on the cross. Even the lyrics reflect this theme: "The minute you take me in you'll be wanting more," in other words an addiction is formed. "....The sweetness of the forbidden apple...," tastes good, but once you get a little taste of sin, that which is forbidden, you'll want more and more because it "...awakens your senses," (in the Bible, when Adam and Eve ate the forbidden fruit, they became aware of the "knowledge of good and evil") and you will continually "...thirst for more." He'll "....wake you up from the silence of your deep sea." In ancient biblical times, the "sea" was a metaphor for chaos, because it couldn't be controlled. People were afraid of it because many died in it's chaotic waters. This is why the Bible (in Revelation) says there will be no more seas = no more chaos. When Adam and Eve were awakened to knowledge of good and evil, chaos ensued upon the Earth. He'll "help you see a new world," but is this really a good new world when innocence is stripped from you? "I'm your toy, I'll make you innocent." Most toys appear innocent and signify the innocence you had as a young child, but the apple (forbidden fruit) looked innocent too and "appeared" good to eat. Many poisonous things appear beautiful and delectable but those very qualities lure the unsuspecting victim to their death. Sin numbs you to immorality and turns it into something "sweet" to the point it's justified and then those who can still see the corruption are shunned. It was the serpent who distorted the truth and tempted with the one "forbidden apple" rather than the other acceptable fruit. Sin invades so slowly and subtly that you don't even realize it's happening until you're already addicted to it and scales form over your eyes (which were considered one of the ways to discern knowledge), and you have no clue because you're "...relying on your own self-control...moved by your body's and soul's" dark desires. The tempter says, "Open your eyes (to me. says Lucifer). What do you want? I'LL MAKE YOU REALIZE WHAT YOU NEVER KNEW." Exactly. Adam and Eve never knew sin, until the tempter tricked them and revealed all and after that, humanity has always wanted more. Temptation gives birth to greed, lust, jealousy....all the 7 deadly sins. Before you know it, you have been gently and seductively led right to Rodin's famous "Gates of Hell" sculpture at the end of the MV. You are left with a choice: 1) Embrace the sin and willingly go through those gates (Adam and Eve were kicked out of the garden because they chose sin and God appointed Cherubim with swords of flame to guard the gates of Eden so no one could ever enter again), or wash yourself clean in pure (holy) water (Christ promised to gift us with living water -- Taemin also has songs called, "Holy Water" and "Heaven"), and there's only one way to do that - by believing in and accepting Christ as your savior. I'm sure there's probably much more that I've missed. So, once again, you can see how Taemin's lyrics can be interpreted simply as they appear, or once you study the meticulous details that Taemin is famous for infusing into his work, you may find a message that's a little uncomfortable for some and more than you bargained for...lol. Thanks for another great reaction to our genius artist, Taemin!
"Sinning can be fun" hahaaha omg! Also, I like to refer to Taemin as Saetin. He already stole my soul. I'm pretty sure he's the antichrist and when he gets out of the military, he will be knowledgeable in how to kill people with weapons and combat. Just saying. 🙃😂
TAEMIN king of the pop KOREA , i love , from FRANCE
The woman dancing with Taemin in Move is the choreographer, Koharu Sugawara.
They have a duo version of the video that’s just the two of them, it’s my favorite version of the MV for sure
Taemin he's Taemin 🖤✨🖤 22
Taemin in Shinee and Taemin as a solo artist depicts his different persona and I love that about him. His adorable and innocent image as a member and his elegant sensuality in his solo MVs makes him unlike any other artist. Makes you want to see more of his art and amazing presence. ❤❤❤

All in all shinee members for solo and for a group, they have a lot of creative freedom & they have been like that since 2012 & way more so since 2015
In Move, the woman dancer you liked is Koharu Sugawara - the brilliant choreographer for Move and many other Taemin songs. In Want, the girl you see briefly dancing on a platform is a pre-debut Karina from Aespa. You should watch the cut Aespa reactions to Taemin MVs - they really like and admire their SM senior.
my first reaction seeing the title:
"wait. he hasn't seen MOVE and WANT?!"
*immediately clicks*
Same! Lol iconic taemin videos
same lmao 😭
OMG.. same 😁
that sculpture in the background behind taemin at the end of the music video is a piece actually called "The Gates of Hell" by Auguste Rodin. So you were definitely spot on with your interpretation haha
I did take a biblical/art course in college called "Heaven and Hell" so maybe it was buried in my mind somewhere!
"So much cooler than I'll ever be" is my internal response to every kpop video I watch 😅
@Mianne Do Me too !!!
Move is my first explosions
After the first time I watch
Move-practice room version
Then I watch about 30 times
A day and slow down the video
,try to analyze how his muscles work
😆
He always sets the direction in his MVs, song selections, and album concept. His goal is to create his own identity and music direction and has worked very hard all these years to develop this image. So no, he doesn't have anything to do with whatever universe SM is pushing lol.
Taemin is my favorite solo artist. Nobody like him.. he is the standart 👑🌟
After "Dream Girl" era SM gave SHINee artistic control, collectively and individually -- the dark is all him, and brilliant
"Sexuality" is the song that blew me away with the live rearrangement. So it technically has sex in it 😁
@@KpopPrince Oh yeah, I forgot about Sexuality (fact, it’s incredible live).
@@ladymidnight8136 Watch the interview I mentioned and see what he himself says about it.
@@helenas7948 yeah, I’m talking about all of the press he did around that time and after, not only one interview
Taemin has worked hard to become the magnificent and unique performer and person that we know him as today.
I am not sure what videos you have seen previously of Taemin, but everything he has ever done is authentically Taemin and he has always been 100% himself.
I have to Flame of Love but that's all!
Koharu (the girl in move mv) is the choreographer. You should see their performance in Hit The Stage, "Sayonara Hitori" in which they won first place for it 😍
HE IS THE MOMENT
Since jonghyun and taemin and Chang min
Taemin iis amazing artist guys!!
Finally.. You digging to gorgeous TAEMIN.. thank you..
That girl that mirrors him is kaoru the choreographer of this song. Watch move#3 to see them do the choreography thogether. You really have to see it.
Sm give taemin a lot of control for his solos songs. It's not a surprise when taemin is like a son for Lee soo man
actually Taemin IS all over those aesthetic blogs on Tumblr hahaha
the girl in MOVE you pointed out is actually choreographer of the song, Koharu Sugawara. they are also good friends. she did choreography for Criminal and for some of his other songs too.
Taemtation🥰 Love Move version 3 with Khoura his choreographer!
your interpretation of want being about temptation is spot-on! notions of adam, eve, the snake, etc
Not only does he have a lot of creative control, but he has also personally edited parts of his videos along with the professionals he works with. One of them said Taemin spent the night with him personally editing on the computer!
Another gem of his is Pinocchio aka The Call with Bewhy
He started out and still is part of the group Shinee and SuperM
Taemin. . .my Lord and Savior Lol These two songs absolutely slay me every time.
The first mv and solo song is Danger. You need to check it!
I loved very much those two songs of Taemin are so cute handsome and also the dance is very sexy ❤️❤️ good reaction ❤️❤️❤️
Hope you'll react to Taemin Just Me and You vcr. Released just last july on his bday. Bday gift to his fans.
The girl is very famous and has helped with taemin choreos before and helped train taemin too if I’m not mistaken she was on hit the stage with him
You are right. She is Koharu Sugawara.
She actually choreographed this. He's kinda her muse
Taemin is the closest thing to an incubus any human will ever be!
He's just so alluring...
These songs are just about some of my favorite songs in general. Want in particular is really overlooked for some odd reason. In that mv Taemin is pretty much Lucifer tempting us. And boy, is he tempting us 😅 Foreplay the song, indeed!
Taemin “ Danger ,Thirsty,Ace,Drip drop,press your number,famous,sayonara hitori,flame of love “ MV
Fun fact: The solo female dancer in Want at 10:14 is pre-debut Karina of aespa
I seen taemin and hit that subscribe button so fast! More taemin please keep them coming I'm here for it. Thank you so much for this reaction.
Welcome! I've got other Taemin videos on my channel too
Want is my favourite! Foreplay the music video? What a perfect description. So much of Taemin's stage persona, music, lyrics is so sensual and erotic. Want perfectly captured how he makes us feel. He really is the snake tempting us, and much like the story I'm ready to bite that fruit 😁
"Is he the villain from the ATEEZ universe" AHFJKS STOP THAT'S SO FUNNY
“are those the gates to hell?”
“Is he leading us to sin🤨” 😭😭😭
You got it! Taemptation! 🍎🐍
Also watch his Famous performance
you should definitely react to taemin reacting to criminal he goes more in depth of his vision for the mv theres also a longer interview on iheartradio that you should definitely check out if you want to know more of his thought process and history
foreplay in a song 😭
"Want" is my preference but I love both. They are so good! Taemin's first solo was released in August of 2014 and all of his releases have been GOLD. He likes to change it up and his style evolves with him. That's why it is always so fun to see what his new release will be like because it could be a complete 180.
he is indeed lure us into the gate of sin lmao 😭
Watch these live and you will never regret it
KpopPrince: "this is foreplay, the song"
Taemin: "Want is a cute concept"...
It's because he has a say that those MV's are so dark, he is an horror genre fan
Girl in want mv is aespa karina
His Thirsty mv is good too
Check out his Sayanora Hitori mv, one of his earlier tracks 🔥
Yeah the dancer you pointed out in Move there is a performance version of the mv with just the two of them that is worth checking out. Argh I feel bad because I know her name but it escapes me at the moment.
It’s cool seeing aespa member karina in want without even knowing at the time who she was
Oh damn, really?
@@KpopPrince sm has a habit for introducing rookies and trainees about to debut in older sm artists mvs
his first solo is Danger i believe and its such a masterpiece aswell, my fav personally is his GOODBYE, there's a performance of it in which jihyo and momo feature as well and its just bomb!!!!!!!!! looking forward to more SHINee reactions aswell!!!!!!!!! :D

The best notification to wake up to 🥰
Please reaction Taemin-Under my skin, Soldier
LOOOOOOOOOOOVE WANT!!!!!!!!! This song is a sin!
"Sinning can be fun" hahaaha omg! Also, I like to refer to Taemin as Saetin. He already stole my soul. I'm pretty sure he's the antichrist and when he gets out of the military, he will be knowledgeable in how to kill people with weapons and combat. Just saying. 🙃😂
oh my!!!:))
I'd highly recommend you watch Yeri Potter's videos on the SM universe! I didn't understand a thing until I watched her videos, she's incredible :)
By the way thank you for your reaction
In Want he's the incarnation of one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Greed, I think.
You should react to his sexuality live performance
I did a month or two ago and it blew me away 🤯
Move really is an iconic song, it's fantastic. I'd recommend TWICE's cover of it, but I honestly think that might kill you 💀
I'll need to prepare myself mentally for that
