I know there are bigger more serious issues at play in this story. Yet, the thinking of someone as lesser than because they are from a single parent home really annoys me. One parent or two, yes it can be a factor on how a person develops, yet to think that is their defining trait and then mistreat them is messed up. There are in my opinion just as many messed up people that come for two parent homes as there are ones from single parent homes, and visa versa.

Any woman can find themselves bringing up a child alone. Death, divorce, sickness and cowardly men who don't want to be responsible for a child can be experienced by any woman. Money or social class have nothing to do with it. Let's not forget mother's who are capable in their careers and can provide well for their kids even though they don't have partner. The assumptions made are really frustrating.
