I just returned after a few years and was struggling a bit with virtuoso. I used your build with an dagger/focus & Staff instead because I am dreading the thought of mastering the huntsman right now to craft a torch (the one profession I never did) (haha)....but it is still amazing. This build is really great and I appreciate you sharing it with all of us. Thank you!!
As ever a most interesting look into how to put a build together :) Given that I am always on the look out for ways to use a 'mage' with a staff, I am going to give this one a try!
Thanks man! I was dying a lot in open map with random mobs, i was so frustraded for that XD but the cheap build you showed, im now kicking a**. Thanks!
This is a great build for my first-time mesmer! I enjoy open world content more than anything but found the standard virtuoso to be kind of a glass cannon. This helps a lot with that issue! Thanks for your hard work creating this!
Couldn't pick a spec for my mesmer, but after seeing this video, i tried the build you presented here and holy canoli, it's so much fun! Saved enough astral coins to get ascended gear from the wizzard's vault and bought the other stuff from the trading post. I get downed from time to time when i take more mobs than i first intended, but that's on me. Otherwise, great build ane nice self sustain.
I love seeing the people doing "Keep it up" in the background :D The build seems quite interesting, should be a funny change from the dagger/sword+focus I've been using for a while, I'll give it a try ! Thanks a lot for the video, hope to follow you in bullying the greens again like yesterday :D
Thanks for the video. I'd like to ask a question about utility skills; can I replace the feedback or null filed with rain of swords for making more damage?
Thank you very much for the kind words! You can use this build with the setup explained at : th-cam.com/video/2MC0uPpawR0/w-d-xo.html as a full DPS option. If you want even more damage, you can just go Full Viper and use the same setup explained and the same way. As for heal Chrono, I'll look into that for sure 👍 Just don't know when I'll get some time to work on it as I have many guides planned
@@GamingTutorialswithJohny See this where I get a bit confused. I see many Virtuoso builds with a mix of Vipers, Sinisters, Rampager's so wasn't sure if that would fine or not. What sorta of numbers we talking here if I follow what you say in the video with Vipers and swapping trait lines etc? If you don't know I can test myself (got leggy armour, trinkets etc). EDIT: Don't worry about Heal Chrono, whatever you have planned will be great no doubt so keep up the good work. Loved this in open world (the heavy sustain variant)
I am very glad you loved it after trying it! And thank you very much for the kind words 👍 A full set of Vipers, with consumables and Fury will get you to about 101% critical chance. In my opinion that extra 1% is not that big of a deal that you shouldn't run full Viper if you want max DPS. It also helps you cover up some lack of Fury or Food for example if that was ever an issue. I just tested the build myself with numbers for you and can confirm that I was getting on average 30-32K. I was using the same setup and rotation as explained in the video, and I was using "Writ of Learned Malice" as utility consumable. Which means you can probably get up to 34K with the Lvl 80 Writ.
@@GamingTutorialswithJohny Hey bud, Yeah I used cheaper food(Potato & Leek, Toxic Crystals). Thanks for letting me know what the difference is in gear too, massively appreciated as always. I await whatever cool build you have coming next! Have a good Christmas when it comes (if you celebrate of course!).
This build looks incredible and maybe will be able to bring me to the mesmer the first time with joy. I tried over the years many times to like the class but i never found a playstyle that i enjoyed - mostly because it felt too squishy in open world situations. One question - what stats for gear, weapons and else would you recommend for raid situations? Celestial seems not too good there since it's high thoughness so you would be maybe always in tanking position?
That's very good to hear! I hope you enjoy the build if you got a chance to try it 🙂 If your tank is running full Minstrel, which is the case most of the time, Cele should work just fine. But if you want alternative options with less toughness, I'd recommend Viper or if it's too expensive then Sinister.
Hi mate, I’m new to the game, loved the look of a flashy ranged Mesmer, just binge watching all your content. I have an alt I’m going to use a lvl80 boost on for the celestial gear, will I need to buy loads of new pieces or can I use those?
Welcome to GW2! Yes, the Celestial gear you'll get when you boost your character should work fine. It will not be the ideal setup, but it will still very decent
Glad you liked it! If you used Viper, you'll do overall more damage, but your sustain will be overall less. That is not a change I recommend unless you'll use this build mostly for Raids and Strikes, and not use it as much for open world, solo stuff, and fractals.
Are you using the exact same setup I suggested, or do you have some cheaper options mixed in? Let me know your Critical Chance with the gear setup you have
@@GamingTutorialswithJohny Hi, Using your setup with full celestial and food. Getting 61.47% crit at rest and 91.47% when in combat on both your builds. Do I need to get closer to 100% crit or could the infusions be better used on something else? - Or even change out a trinket ot two to assassins?
If you mean agony infusions then you are correct, they're only useful in Fractals. But some infusions give extra stats on top of the agony, like Power or Condition Damage, etc.. Those work anywhere
Of course! You can use it for all game modes. You can either the setup I explain at the beginning of the video, or if you wanted more damage, check the setup starting from 10:31

Welcome back to GW2! I'm very glad to know the build worked well for you :)
Thank you for this detailed breakdown, I just hit 80 with a mesmer as my main and this really helps. 👍🏽
Glad it helped!

hell yeah. I used to play condi mirage with staff and it's safe, but boring. this build is safe and fun!
I am very glad you are having fun with the build! That made me happy 🤗

Yes, absolutely
@@GamingTutorialswithJohny thanks!
Would love to see a full damage Virt and Heal Chroni build from you (you seem to make the best LI builds).

Tested it will all buffs, conditions on golem, food. Changed the traits mentioned, full leggy gear. Get around 26-27k. Thanks!

Loved the guide, is this still viable? Read somewere that virtu was nerfed
This still works for sure

Any changes to this for WvW...is it viable there? Been having a blast in Open World with it
You can use the build as it is in WvW, but it will not be one of the best options for zergs
Action camera!
Yup! I use it all the time 👍
Damn, you are very knowledgeable
Thank you!
I like this. What if I use a full Viper set instead of Celestial? What might be the advantages and disadvantages?
Glad you liked it! If you used Viper, you'll do overall more damage, but your sustain will be overall less.
That is not a change I recommend unless you'll use this build mostly for Raids and Strikes, and not use it as much for open world, solo stuff, and fractals.
What accessories and jewelry do you recommend?
Celestial if you can get that. If not, then Rabid should do, but of course then expect the build to have a little less sustain and damage
What infusions would you recommend, if I'm not doing fractals? Precision or something else?
Are you using the exact same setup I suggested, or do you have some cheaper options mixed in? Let me know your Critical Chance with the gear setup you have

In that case, I'd suggest Condition Damage infusions.

Yes it is! Just make sure to check the part starting from 10:30 especially for raids, as I explain the changes needed to do even more damage
does this build viable for fractals too?
Of course! You can use it for all game modes. You can either the setup I explain at the beginning of the video, or if you wanted more damage, check the setup starting from 10:31
is viable for full condi gear ?
I assume you mean something like Viper. In that case, yes the build will work well, but you'll lack some sustain
@@GamingTutorialswithJohny yes rampager/viper, or is better condi celestial? Maybe core mesmer is better for ow? Im confuse, is becsuse i will boost a mesmer to 80, and for pve i want to go virtuoso.
I would suggest Celestial gear, and Virtuoso is a better option than Core Mesmer for open world in my opinion
